Scarlett Cougar here... and let me just say... THIS is why women run away to Paso Robles wine country with "just a few friends" and somehow return with six bottles, new favorite humans, and absolutely no regrets. Learning more about Graveyard Vineyards during the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail Twilight Tasting made me appreciate Paso Robles even more. A family-built winery born from a search for community, connection, and a better life for their kids? Honestly... that's kind of beautiful. But what really stayed with me was learning more about the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail collective itself -- 14 wineries genuinely supporting one another while also giving back through scholarship and agricultural education efforts benefiting the local community. THAT is what makes Paso different. The people here still feel connected instead of competitive, and the wineries still feel wonderfully human. And frankly... any winery confident enough to call itself Graveyard Vineyards already deserves points for personality alone. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Under the Estrella Sky Charity Gala in August supporting the continued PVWT community efforts. read more

Paso Robles has thousands of wineries. And many are excellent. It is very hard to find the special ones. My husband and I are fortunate enough to go up to this area from our home in San Diego a couple times a year. We ask friends, we research trends, we search online in order to find hidden gems. And Graveyard Vineyards was one of those. It's a lovely location... The wines were excellent and they have live music on Saturday and Sunday. They have a beautiful canopy of flowers over their sitting area. The fields of Vineyards are just gorgeous. They have a lovely shop with lots of things to buy. It's just an absolutely lovely experience. We brought several bottles home and can't wait to share them with our friends. Go and enjoy. read more

Coming out here at night sets a mood for spookies, highly recommend it. The evening held perfect weather to enjoy some wine outdoors under the starry sky and lights strung over the tables. DJ and dance area by the gazebo stage. Wine club members can enjoy discounted rates on wines and select events. This particular evening they were serving full service buffet style creamed corn, roasted potatoes, coleslaw, hot honey chicken and pork with rolls. Hot honey chicken was moist with a little kick. The tasting area is a long straight shot down the length of the facility. The old rustic charm will draw you in to choose some extra goodies. Double doors open up to the patio area with sporadic concrete landings among the dirt pathways. The pond is that Dawson's creek you wanna paddle out onto. There's a cute sitting area to take it all in and sip slowly. It is all dirt road heading up. Plenty of parking space on the grounds. Did a few tastings of Syrah's and chose the 2021 scream for our bottle. The Psycho is also a good choice or the perfect pour tribute wine. Service was hospitable and efficient. They definitely know how to throw a party and take good care of their guests. read more

We brought some Bay Area friends for a tasting here. They have a beautiful little pond in front of the Tasting Room. Very calm, quiet and beautiful area to taste wine. We had a really fun wine attendant, Allen who answered all of our questions. When we were ready to leave, both myself and my friend joined their Wine Club. Very reasonable prices for these excellent wines. I am looking forward to bringing more out of town guests here. read more

Stopped here on Sunday at 4:15 pm (they close at 5). And yes there is a cemetery at the entrance. They were really nice and we got to do a tasting outside overlooking their beautiful pond. Tasting fee was $15 (waived with purchase of 2 bottles). They have cute friemdly dogs roaming around. Bottle prices were reasonable and staff was friendly. They didn't kick us out right at 5 which we also appreciated very attentive on coming out to pour when the glasses were empty. read more

Great spot, nice doggies laying around but between the clientele with tons of screaming kids, drunken fathers and teh hostess being MIA an only comes over when she pours the wine, not such good experience. Wines were not some memorable. They do also sell olive oil if I recall correctly. read more

Graveyard Vineyards - St Patty's Day Bday celebration - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - San Miguel, California

Of the 3 wineries we visited on our trip, this one was the best! Great wine and even better hospitality. The music was great! A must visit!

A friend recommended this one. I thought it was an odd name for a winery, but it is literally behind and up the hill from the pleasant valley cemetery near Paso Robles. Decent wines, pleasant staff, and lots cute graveyard themed stuff in the tasting room. We especially liked the gruner veltliner which is a varietal you just don't find everywhere. read more

Why the name Graveyard? Graveyard Winery is located on Pleasant Valley cemetery property. Nothing macabre at all. As a matter of fact you will find a very lovely, unique winery, vineyards and tasting room. That is if you dare to enter. You should!!! Graveyard Winery offers a very unique spiritual tasting experience. One that will have you screaming for more; and, one that will leave you needing a deliverance from. A delicious deliverance in the form of PORT :D Graveyard Vineyards wines is buried deliciousness that must be unearthed. Don't be afraid, just do it. You'll taste Smoky Rich wines that will make you scream. A Pretty in Pink that will make you blush. A chocolate lovers dream that is Deliverance Port. I entered as a paranormal wine skeptic and left as a true believer! read more

Graveyard is my favorite winery! The tasting room is nestled among the vines with an incredible view. It's a perfect spot to spend a day tasting, bring a picnic, enjoy the sunshine and go fishing or skip rocks on their little lake. The wine club is excellent, the staff provides the best service...you will feel like family on your first visit, plus they throw awesome events. read more

Our first time at this winery and is now one of our go to places. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable when we did our wine tasting. They have some of the best reds in my opinion. I took home Scream, Tombstone red blend, and Ascender sparkling pomegranate. They have live music, Jenga, and a small lake where kids were fishing. Loved the relaxing atmosphere with plenty of shade. read more

Pro: Good vibe, indoor AC tasting room, cute little pond and dock. Friendly staff. Con: Dirt road, drive slow - dust kills grapes. tasting room could get filled up quickly. Came here per recommendation of T. James winery. Was looking for dessert wine, they had one but it wasn't ready for tasting due to just got bottled. Other white and red was good, didn't purchase anything. Staff was good about the information of their grapes and give me pointers to local winery neighbors for my shopping quest. read more

Peaceful way to close out the evening... beautiful sunset over the pond, a great selection of reds and fantastic customer service. So far the CSM and red blend are among my top preferences. The Deliverance dessert wine has hands down been my favorite of any place I've been to date (and I've been to some great spots!) It tastes like a tootsie roll! read more

I know that many businesses put something catchy in their About The Business section of the Yelp listing, but the first words of the Graveyard description couldn't be more accurate: Graveyard Vineyards "Come as strangers leave as friends". We were overwhelmed by Paula's hospitality, engaging conversation and inviting personality. WOW! To top it off their wines were very good and they had my favorite wine of 2019. We visited Graveyard twice, once on December 30th and then again on December 31st. We let Paula know that our favorite varietal was Zinfandel and she told us that if we came back on the 31st they'd have a bottle of their Mortal Zin (which is phenomenal BTW) open for us to taste. They were down to having three cases left, so I didn't really expect them to open a bottle for tasting. My wife and I agreed on our favorite wine which was the SCREAM!!! 2017 Paso Robles Blend which I found nicely complex yet smooth and very drinkable. Second for me was the Psycho 2017 Paso Robles Petite Sirah followed closely by the 2017 Syrah and the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon which came in tied for third. I can't remember feeling more welcome at a winery and Paula did a great job directing is towards wines that appealed to us. Our visit on the 30th was our first to this winery but I will gladly return to Graveyard in the future. To top off the experience we saw an amazing sunset over their pond as our last sunset of 2019. read more

Beautiful winery with a small cemetery at the base of the hill. They could definitely lean into the horror theme much more, but it is a nice quaint place with nice views. There is a small pond with people fishing right now, not sure it there's actually fish in there. Live music (happy, not horror) played for the outdoor seating area. No food available here. read more

We made reservations for two opted to do the tasting outside. When we got there it was only us outside. Their tasting menu changes which I think is very cool. This is a winery that you would like to come back and revisit. We got to try one of their new wines just released that day so it was pretty cool. The service was good and the land is beautiful and peaceful. I noticed people fishing later on and sipping on wine so I think they might do that too. read more

This place was awesome! The seating inside and outside was really nice. I went with friends for a tasting. We were not rushed, in fact we were encouraged to take our time and enjoy. This place is beautiful. They Have a great tasting area outside and inside. I recommend the outside, but I think you'll see it when you get there. I'll let these photos speak for themselves. read more

A little out of the way compared to other wineries in the Paso Robles area, it is definitely worth the drive. Located up the hill from an actual graveyard, it is quite a pretty setting for such a darkly named place. The property itself is very picturesque, including a fishing pond on the premises. It is a smaller place which is exactly how I like it. It allows for a more personable experience and at no point did I feel rushed. Frank served us our wine tastings. They are $10.00 a piece and I believe we tried 7 wines, including a really nice chocolate infused desert wine called "Deliverance" . The tasting fee is waived if you decide to purchase a bottle of wine (buy two bottles, get two fees waived) Frank also ordered many recommendations of other wineries, several of which I had not heard of before. It was a good experience overall. I will say that some of the novelty items are a bit high in price, but the wines seem to be on point. I would for sure come back again. ..and of course don't forget to visit the graveyard on the way out. A bonus for a dark person such as myself read more

This a fantastic vineyard. Tucked past a graveyard (hence the clever name) we came here over the holiday weekend for a tasting since my sister's boyfriend is a member. DELIVERANCE. Its a PHENOMENAL wine. A dessert syrah with chocolate flavors infused, its a delicious wine even for those of us who don't often enjoy reds. We left with a bottle each. The servers were friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed our visit immensely. read more

This winery is about 15 mins away from Vines RV resort. We had to make reservations for wine tasting(due to covid) but luckily we were able to get a reservation on a Saturday afternoon at 330pm. The surrounding area is beautiful, there is a very large willow tree, a lake and even a small dock you can walk and take pictures on. It was about 113 degrees outside and we decided to sit outside in a shaded table next to an AC unit, which actually worked out great. Viviana was our host and she provided us with lots of education about their wines and grapes and she made our experience an overall great one. I came home with nine bottles of wine! I prefer whites, so we went with the 2019 Chardonnay (stainless steel) , Spanish castle queen, Cold Roses Gerwurstraminer and one bottle of the Ascender Sparkling wine. I gave 4 stars only because there is no food options at this locations, strictly wine. read more

Visited on a Saturday morning at 11, enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake from a table under the wisteria vines, tasted several of their wines then enjoyed a bottle with a small picnic we brought. Friendly, unpretentious service with very reasonably priced good wines. We made our first visit to Graveyard Vineyards in December 2017. We found the service to be excellent, the wines are outstanding, and the setting nicely unique. We purchased a few bottles to bring back east and while doing so, Paula suggested using a wine shipper box would be the cheapest way of getting wine home with us, which worked great (even with TSA taking a peek inside). We just recently opened the Deliverance Port-style Dessert Wine, it is awesome! The scent of Tootsie Rolls and the taste are addicting.
