Visiting Santa Fe, NM this week, and after an event this evening, we stopped by Susan's Christmas…read moreShop. Just a hole in the wall next to the famous restaurant The Shed... a small shop, but wall to wall, floor to ceiling everything Christmas, year-round! Puts a smile on your face just walking through the door! Kristy was working in the store this evening, and what a pleasure to deal with. We chatted about all kinds of things, and she hunted for 15 minutes to find a companion bunny for the one we bought (Easter, not Christmas! LOL). She even called to the owner to see if an extra one might be stashed somewhere that she didn't know about! She kindly wrapped several items we were carrying (not from the store) so it would be easier for us to carry. What a fun 30 minutes! We'll definitely follow-up with the store to get a 2nd bunny! Thanks Kristy! You were such a delight!

Susan told us the best-selling ornament she has are actually ones her daughter made. They're the dried red chile peppers painted as Santa. They're incredibly cute and only $10! I got one, which Susan boxed and bagged for me. The shop has some miniature kachina dolls made by artisan brothers, Christmas ornaments, Christmas nativity displays, and other Christmas items. Susan was friendly and helpful. She told us we'd be back now that we'd discovered it, and I'm confident she'll be right!

Each Beanie Baby was $4.00. It's a bit cluttered but that's the adventure! As another reviewer mentioned the owners are wonderful people. This is the type of place you should visit and purchase something at because you want to support local business owners. Some items you would find here: toy collectibles - beanie babies, my little pony, Barbie, McDonald's toys, cookware, really unique items like a wooden tic tac toe board, Christmas ornaments, furniture, and some great tea pots.

I think their business is REALLY struggling with the construction on 4th St, so I'm hoping this review will help get some locals in to keep them going. It's mostly smalls... figurines, knick knacks, glasses, decor, collectibles, some art, etc. Not too many things I'm usually in the market for, but I did find an amazing early 1900s coat rack, and they let me buy one of their display cases. They had a good selection of southwest jewelry for awhile, but last time I went in some savvy shopper had swooped nearly all of it up. They usually have some rusty dusty antiques out front, so it's easier to spot from the road. They have a small dedicated parking lot too. Give 'em a look!
