My friend accidentally broke a Kachina doll that was already slightly broken, he felt bad and requested we come back right before our flight so he could pay for it. He's very friendly and he cut me a deal when I purchased two of the more pricey icons. As icons go, they have a very, very large selection and the prices are fantastic. The selection of books is also very good, and very orthodox. You won't find any books written by dissenters in here. There was no one else in the store except for a very nice young woman who was working the register. All of a sudden, my son came up to me and said there was an older woman who wouldn't stop staring at him. My kids had been quietly looking at stuffed animals. I turned around, surprised, because I didn't even know there was anyone else in there. Sure enough, there was an older woman staring right at us. I turned back around and told my son that it was fine, that I was sure she was just happy to see some children. (Ha! Boy was I wrong.) He went back to the stuffed animals where his sisters were. At this time, I heard the older woman start talking to the young woman at the register. She said something along the lines of "putting something in his pocket, can't you check the cameras". I turned around and asked her directly if she thought we were stealing. She then accused my son of stealing, and putting something in his pockets. I explained to her that was ridiculous, and my kids do not steal. He did have a phone, which he had taken out, and then put back in his pocket. He is not a fan of the items in Hallmark, not surprisingly. She was unbelievably rude and insulting. I set my ornaments down on the counter, and told her I would never return to her store. I feel sorry for the young woman that has to work with that awful lady. Make sure you only go in here if you are White and wealthy appearing.
