There looks like a small wading pool open in the summertime, and also love that this is right in a cute little neighborhood. No parking but folks didn't seem to mind/have trouble parking. There are swings, a small and large basketball court, some benches, picnic tables and a gazebo from what I saw. Plenty of green space to set up a picnic!

The bathrooms are pretty well kept and didn't smell like outhouse when we visited like so many other playground bathrooms do, at least as far as the ladies room went. There's some paths for walking or biking that looked flat and smooth enough for blading as well. There's a big soccer field. They have a couple movie nights in the summer. There's also a small Santa's cottage that's open multiple days and times in December. Great park overall.

You do need to bring a rubber playground ball - google shows Walmart sells one by Franklin sports for less than $5-) The park is very clean, and it turns it's because one of the neighborhood family keeps it that way. We saw a man walking around with a bag and trash picker collecting whatever litter he spotted - what an amazing guy! There's no public restroom in sight or porta potty. However, there is a playground supervision office that opens from 12-6pm from 6/27-8/12 so it might have a restroom. Maybe?

This thing has been around for I'd say 25-30 years (???) Our kids LOVED this playground! Some of the comments was "This is the best playground everrrr." Or "This is the biggest playground over ever seen!" They had so much fun playing hide and seek in all the nooks and crannies that these wooden playground always had! Definitely recommend! There are also baseball, football, soccer fields as well as tennis courts and basketball courts here. We saw a a covered pavilion with a couple picnic tables and a port-o-potty.

It overlooks some undeveloped land, which, I believe, is a planned future subdivision. Because of this however, coyotes do visit sometimes. It's also pretty overrun with mosquitoes in the evenings (especially late summer and early fall). I don't know if it's the tall spruces, water runoff, or what, but compared to other parts of NoTL, this is kind of a mosquito haven. Overall though, this is a fantastic lesser-known gem.

Hamlin Park is a staple site of East Aurora. I learned the park is 16 acres large and has been around since 1899! The old trees are a sight to see, and the area feels like you're right in nature. The playground is vast and somewhat outdated, but the kids don't seem to mind. Many events take place here, too, including performances by the Aurora Players Theater and the Rotary Bandstand. Cars aren't allowed, and parking is limited; you might have to find parking on one of the side streets. I noticed there are restrooms too, and a couple of picnic shelters. Leave your beer, your dog and your snowmobile at home; they're not allowed, along with some other items you might want to look up before venturing out. It's a great public park and worth a stopover to relax and enjoy nature on one of the benches or bring a picnic and enjoy your time at one of the picnic tables. Truly, something for everyone.

The park had vendors, people were picnicking, kids were playing, there was a band and baseball field. Hamlin Park was out of a Hallmark Movie. Hallmark should not only continue to use Viddler's as a location for movies, but should also include this park for a summer movie location. It didn't…read morelook open, so I sat outside for a few minutes watching the cars speed by on the 401 only a few feet away. Finally I tried the door and it was open, and I stood around for a bit until a staff member came by. She was on the phone--in fact, she was on the phone the entire time we were there. The place wasn't set up yet and she was vacuuming the place and setting up a party room, all while on the phone. I'm not a fan of this place for my kids. One room was ice cold (it was December). I didn't find the padding at the foot of the slides sufficient, and the thin carpet over the concrete floor has no bounce to it and any kid who falls would get a pretty good bang. The climbing equipment was not easy to move around on, and I didn't have easy access to the kids when they were high up in the climbing apparati when I needed to. There's a climbing wall with no padding on the ground below--one quick slip to the barely covered concrete below. Perhaps most egregiously, there wasn't any coffee--that would have been a nice touch for the adults--and nowhere really for the parents to sit down. It's $8 each kid to play all day, which for us was about an hour. Not the best value to me. I prefer the Amazon playground on Vaughn Road, and the best I've seen so far is Amazing Adventures in Burlington; it would have been worth the drive.

Larger play area open to private parties as well. reasonable price for what is offered. Large space. Easy access from highway. Overall clean facility. Cons: the outside appearance looks very run down and unattractive. Entrance on the back side of building. Some of the decor is very old and falling apart. NEEDS AN UPDATE. number of games were not working (when I booked the venue, was not made aware of it. On day of party when I raised concern, was told as a matter of fact without any efforts to apologize or make up for it) . The host is very indifferent, did not take initiative. When we asked for a few extra chairs, was said no. Verdict: not going to be my first choice, but for its convenience and reasonable price, it will make the bottom of my list.
