When we adopted our dog a year ago, we needed someone who could help us during our busy work week by coming over to the house and walking him and giving him a break for play time. But we also needed help with understanding our shelter dog (he was very high maintenance with separation anxiety issues). Chris really worked hard at winning the trust of our dog. Chris is excellent at dog training and provided us with useful tips and tricks in order to get our little guy to settle down a bit in order to become used to being a part of a family. Our dog absolutely loves Chris! We are very thankful for all the help Chris has given us! Chris is 100% reliable and is always there to answer questions and help out in any way possible. There have been many times when our work schedules changed or when we needed Chris to come over on a weekend because we were taking a day trip. Chris always worked us into his busy schedule and we knew we could count on him. Having him to walk our dog has been such a huge help and we would highly recommend him to anyone who is needing in-home pet care! Chris, thanks a million for all that you do!

Professional Pet Sitting Etc - Self-explanatory. This lady should've been on the Debate team. She's going to defend this to the death.

I'd like to post a brief, but supportive email for some of the other comments I've seen here. While…read morethe person I engaged with was pleasant, the intake process just to understanding pricing and get the pets enrolled is beyond excessive. I've been a dog owner for over 20 years and have experience using several certified dog owners. I received over 5 auto generated emails that printed were over a page each, and when I asked questions on cost, was directed to their client log in page that linked 10+ other pages that when printed were over a page in length. I appreciate the attention to detail, but you need to listen to feedback from many customers - this is way too much time to put on the customer and the content is just too much! Ultimately decided to go a different route because I suspect the process even after enrollment will be a PIA!

They really shower attention on our pets and when we return home we are greeted by a happy cat. There was a time when we needed the sitter to give medication to our cat and I was concerned but there was no reason. We came back and all the medicine had been dispensed properly. I love the notes left by the sitter too. Its such a relief to know that our sweet cat is shown care and attention while we are gone, oh and fed!! Our cat will communicate her upset to us by only showing her back to us. This never happens when we have Professional Pet Sitting taking care of her.

I recently moved to Maine and contacted Kara's Petcare on the recommendation of my vet. I was so…read moreexcited because it seemed like they would be able to offer daycare for my dogs and some auxiliary training if needed. They also said they did transport to the daycare facility and boarding on occasion. It seemed perfect. I should mention that there are Kara's pet care facilities in Portsmouth, Berwick, and Falmouth. First I was asked to set up a meet and greet with one of their associates at my home so she could meet my pets. It took me many tries to get through many unreturned phone calls, but finally we did set up the meet and greet and that went well. Then I was asked to set up an app and an account before we could actually schedule any dog care. So I set up the app and the account. Then I was asked to drive my dogs to their facility to see if the dogs would "be happy there." So I drove my dogs 25 minutes to the facility. When I got to the facility I was told that they were supposed to stay there for a day assessment and then I should come and pick them up. This was not communicated to me earlier, and I had not budgeted an extra hour of driving back-and-forth. Then they would reschedule the assessment and they would come and pick up my dogs for the day-long assessment. All before any dog care could be scheduled. So, still not on the calendar. So to summarize: you need to go through a long process of scheduling a meet and greet, then you need to have the meet and greet, then you need to sign up for the app, then your dogs have to be assessed to see if they will be happy. I'm just thinking that anyone who's busy enough to need dog care is too busy for this multilayered, multi-step, poorly communicated process where phone calls, texts, and emails are returned only about half the time.
