Wow a breakfast of my dreams. Super friendly and fast service (even on a busy Saturday morning!) bright, nostalgic ambiance (helps if you know Grateful Dead but not necessary!) and satisfying, comforting breakfast. We ordered breakfast scrambles, omelette, and pancakes. The scrambles reminded me of the kind of breakfast my husband and I used to go out to get on weekends in a tiny coastal California town about 20 years ago. Loaded with veggies, with the perfect sides: crust roasted potatoes and fluffy biscuits. Even the jam was out of this world. I also ordered a latte and it came in a glass mug. It was rich and strong! Coming back for sure!!

This place is a must visit! We walked here from the Surf and Sand Inn down the street, arriving about 10 minutes before they opened on a Friday morning and there were people waiting already. That's a good sign. While waiting for opening with three kids, we checked out all of the blooming flowers in the pots and near the little bench near the back. Turns out they're growing quite a few edible plants there, we found chives, sage and rosemary but I am sure there were more. Once they opened, they were able to seat our group of six inside right away. The bakery items looked amazing but we came for a full breakfast so saved those for later. The staff brought the kids a cup of a variety of colored crayons and paper for the kids to draw on. All the kids got the french toast dippers. I don't recall what my sister ordered, but my mom got the oatmeal and I ordered the Gallo Pinto. Serving size on that was just right! Any more and I wouldn't have walked out. It was good and flavorful, I did use the tortillas but thinking back I think I liked it better just as a bowl. The oatmeal serving was pretty large, my mom ended up sharing quite a bit of hers with some very hungry grandchildren. Must have been pretty good for them to keep asking for more of it. We ended up ordering basically 1 of each type of the scones they had and couple other pastry items, to take to go for the next morning. The scones are sizable and even the next couple days, everything was SO GOOD. They are not dry and overly crumbly, so much flavor. Not so sweet that you feel like you're just eating sugar. Honestly, the best scones I've ever had. The staff were very nice, clearly comfortable with each other and many of the patrons. We even caught snippets of the chef singing a tune or two. It has a home comfort vibe. The art around the interior is all from local artists (except for the Grateful Dead memorabilia) and was beautiful.

Popular on a Sunday morning. Not many vegan options, but the garden plate was good. Similar to a tofu scramble but without eggs, I liked how it was seasoned well. The French toast was good. We had mimosas too! $9 for a glass was good.

Killer in house smoked salmon and eggs with house made sourdough toast and potatoes.

Just found out that their closed until February 14,2026. Heads up! I was sad to drive all the way there to find this out. I'll be back next month. It's one of my favorite spots.

Absolutely wonderful breakfast! Where to even start...the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the staff and owners were friendly, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the veggie omelet, the smoked salmon scramble, some bacon and a London fog. The omelette was stuffed with a generous portion of fresh veggies, the smoked salmon was spot on, the bacon was cooked to perfection, and the tea was delicious. We also couldn't resist grabbing baked goodies for later on the way out the door and they did not disappoint. This place is a must stop if you're in Pacific City.

Second time coming here and it was still solid. So nice to have a big breakfast. Everything we ate was delicious. From the bacon to the French toast everything was great. The service is legit here. Our server was kind and attentive. They have a lot of food options and ample seating. Their fresh baked bread is delectable. The restaurant is clean and spacious. It can get crowded so we like to come early. Until next year.

I love this place and I can see why this is a local favorite. The baked goods are so good!!! Really wish we had one of these stores back home! We stopped by for breakfast since this is one of the places that opens early in the morning and was surprised to find people already dining! I ordered the veg omelette which was packed full of delicious vegetables and my partner got the quiche of the day which was dense. The star here though was the homemade biscuits and strawberry jam! I really wish they sold their jam because it was the best I have ever had in my life. It's perfectly sweet and the texture is super spreadable. There is plenty of indoor seating if you're in a larger group. I would say parking is a bit difficult as it looks like there only a few spots at the front of the bakery so go at opening like I did or prepare to find parking elsewhere.

I just had a delicious scone here with cherries and almonds, for sure the next scorn ever! Also had some creamy mocha which was good. They serve a full breakfast or brunch and have espresso coffees. My friends had jalapeno cheddar bagel which looks good and they also have some GF options. Cute place!

I think if you are looking for takeout coffee and pastries, this is a great spot. The giant cookies looked amazing. Iced latte was terrific. The dining room experience was kind of lacking. Service was really disorganized and we had to ask if we had a server after being ignored for about 20 minutes. The food was tasty and filling. Very popular spot and crowded on the weekend.

Love it here! The quality of the food and the friendliness of the service makes this our go to brunch spot when visiting Pacific City!

We showed up dressed in our better clothes, Rick wore a suit jacket, and me in an elegant dress, and we're met by waitresses in jeans and denim shirts, guessing it was a birthday celebration because I was "so glittery". It didn't flatter us that we were seated in the main room where the volume of the more casual diners was overbearing. It felt like a cafeteria, or bar atmosphere, and disappointed our expectations, as having arrived at 7pm the fireplace wasn't even lit the whole time we were there. We are locals, having been apart for going on 4 years dealing with aging parents, it was our first formal dinner alone in that long, and the wait staff didn't recognize we needed a more romantic setting. The food was great, but the experience was a DUD. The "Ambiance" they tout is dissappointing.

The food quantity was large per order, very much appreciated and with it, quality accompanied. Pricing was fair. Everything presented beautifully. Vibe is great, not stuffy, but wine casual if you know what I mean. Loved it all. Clean, spacious, large bar. The drinks, wine, and beer were all delicious. Food/Drinks 4 Stars, View 5 Stars easy.

Their pizza is really good with a flavorful sauce that isn't sweet and the perfect amount of toppings with a homemade crust. That being said We have decided we will only order pizza at Megs from here on out, as everything else we've tried (except the tots) just don't work for us. We've tried the Italian sub my hubby liked it but they grilled it and he's not a fan of hot subs, the meatloaf sandwich which was meatloaf shaped in a patty and fried like a burger (not great and one end wasn't completely cooked) the Caesar wrap which had too much dressing and was grilled so the lettuce inside was warm, limp and disgusting, the Philly steak and cheese sandwich was not shaved meat but appeared to be the parts you trim off and throw away, not one bite of meat I wanted to eat, big fatty chunks, grissly and a weird texture with only very few slices of pepper and onion (I took the bun off and looked because I couldn't bite through a single piece of meat after the third bite and wanted to see what it looked like). We have not tried the burgers but the pizzas are good and the desserts are fabulous. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes there are 2 people "working" but you have to go to the bar to order as they stand behind it and chat, sometimes it's one person and they handle everything fine (with the same amount of customers). When we are at the beach we are just chillin most of the time so it's not a problem we are just never sure if we are supposed to self serve or wait for a server. But If you are in Pacific City and want a good pizza with homemade crust Megs is your place and if you have a sweet tooth the pastry cooler will provide the perfect treat to finish or start your day at the beach!

We've visited Beach Wok a few times over the years, and each time we've found it to be fresh and of good quality. However, on our most recent visit, we discovered that half of our dishes were dry and partially inedible. The main issue with our to-go order was the ribs. For my kids, I ordered the BBQ ribs. At least half were too dry and tough to eat without posing a choking risk. For myself, I placed an order for the gluten-free sweet and sour ribs. Mine were at least 3/4 too dry to eat, to the point I was trying to drink water while chewing in order to get the meat soft enough to swallow. It just wasn't worth the risk or pain in my jaw so I ended up throwing away most of the two rib orders. My husband's fish and chips were fine, as well as the cucumber salad, edamame, and a grilled cheese I also ordered for the kids. I was planning on ordering from Beach Wok a second night, but with the prices as high as they are and our bad experience a few nights earlier, I decided against it. I'm undecided if we'll be returning to Beach Wok again. 2026 #1

I look forward to a return trip in the near future.
