We live in Trophyclub and do the 20min drive to come to grapevine library because we love it so Much. There's a $25 fee for a yr if you don't live I. Grapevine. It's worth it. My Children love this library. There are plenty of place for the littles to play. Books galore. Staff are so helpful. AND they've a drive thru books drop off. They'll automatically renew the books unless it's on hold by someone. There's not limit on how many books you can check out at one time. Big fans!!

Great place to study for homework. The library staff is very helpful with research and locating that hard to find book. Easy check out for items. My only qualm is that they do not have a large selection of books on CD or MP3. They do have very current books on NY times best seller list. Very large magazine selection as well. One of my favorite libraries.

My kids love the Music and Movement class here. So much fun. The best part they love of course is the dancing. We love summer reading!

I am not a Grapevine resident but I am happy to pay the $25 annual fee to use the facilities.

Southlake Public Library - Another artsy section that changes themes throughout the year

Best library for kids in the area thanks to Ms. Karen. This…read morereview is limited to children's section/ experience, I have not used the other resources available. We've been coming to the Southlake library for two years now because my kid loves it, the decor, the coloring activities available and for Ms. Karen. Ms. Karen, and others, do a fantastic story time, coordinating activities, seasonal decorations and prizes. I've seen 4 th graders ask Ms Karen for book recommendations as she knows EVERY book under the roof and her opinion is valued by kids and parents alike. We do not live in Southlake so play the annual $25 fee for library use and it's money we'll spent. I find this library easy to navigate, I can find a book/ theme I'm looking for within minutes, they separate seasonal books too so if you're trying to teach about Thanksgiving or Valentines Day then they are all in a section of their own, which is so nice. If you need anything here, just ask and one of the highly skilled Librarian's will assist. I have only been impressed with each staff member and resources available here. Oh, and there is also a book return by the Marq, it's a drive by drop box which is convenient and nice to have as an option for days/ times the library is closed.

I only popped my head in briefly as I was coming and going from/to the Tarrant County clerk's…read moreoffice, which is in the basement of this building, along with the library. Struck me as a nice QUIET library, unlike the Keller Library, with its array of computers running video games and not isolated from the reading areas. Saw a large shelf with DVDs too. Though as I type this up I see pictures of what looks to be a story time, so perhaps the quiet is not a sure thing, so if that is what you seek, might want to look for an event schedule. Bottom line: Nice

Colleyville Public Library - Outdoor storytime

I used to be a big library person when I was younger. Raising kids and working full time in a…read moredemanding job meant that me time was at a premium and my love of reading was temporarily set aside. When I relocated to Colleyville and went to vote in person, on a whim I went downstairs and got a new library card on the spot. They laughingly told me that new users often ticked up during election season for them. Now, the best parts. The only portal makes it super easy to request books, and I can swing by the handy dandy drive thru and pick up during library hours. They have a wonderful service where you can submit a request for a list of recommended books just for you based on what you share about your interests, favorite authors etc. I'm on my third list and Kara has nailed it every time. I've found some great new authors and enjoyed some books I never would have found otherwise. Just another reason living in Colleyville is pretty awesome.

The Colleyville Library is an outstanding library. They put on great events throughout the year,…read moreespecially in the summer. Their storytimes are so fun for littles. Most of the storytimes are not drop in - You have to register in advance and commit to an 8 week session. I think this results in a higher quality storytime - the librarians get to know your kids, they have crafts and other fun aspects to the storytime, and it's never overcrowded. Many other events offered do not require registration. The kids play area is the best I've seen at a library. There is so much to do! My kids all still love playing there, and will happily move from table to table building and playing for HOURS (even the older ones!). I do think, since this is a small library, you really have to utilize the online hold system if you want to pick out specific books. Especially when it comes to popular kid's books, it's unlikely that you're going to walk into the library and find it on the shelf. That's ok with me - the hold system saves me time because I reserve it online, the library tells me when it's been turned in and sets it aside, and I swing by the drive through to pick it up. Through the interlibrary loan system, you can get *almost* any book or movie you want, even if the Colleyville Library doesn't have it. I utilize the interlibrary loans regularly and have only ever requested ONE book that the library wasn't able to procure for me. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Two negatives I'd point out: 1. The new "no late fees" policy. Because there are no longer late fees, it's essentially "choose your own due date!" and the result is very long wait times for some book series. When I scroll through my list of holds, more than half the books are often overdue. The library should be collecting fines for this to encourage on time return of books and use the money to purchase duplicate copies of books in popular kids series. 2. Holds are capped at 20 books. This isn't really an issue during the school year, but during the summer when more kids are checking out books, you pretty much have to wait for every book that comes to mind. With 8 people in our house, we reach 20 holds very quickly. I'd prefer if they did away with the 20 book hold limit. Those negatives aside, this library has my heart! We are here at least a couple times a week picking up books and I am immensely grateful for the way the library has enabled me to foster a love of reading in my kids. We LOVE the Colleyville Library!!!

Their greeting card selection is really cute. The friendly staff is always ready to help me find a book or offer a reading suggestion. If you haven't been in the past few years, B&N started a loyalty program in 2023 to make its prices more competitive. For free, you can earn "stamps" that result in discounts (currently $5 off for every 10 stamps earned), and for a reasonable yearly fee you can upgrade to be a Premium member and earn 10% off everything every day. As an avid reader with a family of readers, it is totally worth it, and (do the math!) usually cheaper than competitors (*always* cheaper when I'm reading more obscure stuff). If you enjoy earning free stamps, it is worth signing up for the B&N newsletter to keep an eye out for double/triple points days. They always have deals on bestsellers and daily BOGO 50% tables, so you have a new selection of deals to hunt through each time you visit.

The price quoted was a lot with a 10 week wait! But after they explained what repair entailed and what to look for when purchasing a BIble that lasts, I understood. I didn't get the name of the person that spoke to me, but she had excellent customer service skills and she used them, taking time to explain the process so very kindly. I decided to just buy the kid a new Bible (one not glued, but sown together, her recommendation) but if I ever need a book repair service, they will surely get my business. If you want a quick-and-dirty commercial fix, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a European time machine that will take a beloved book back to what it was or even better, this is the spot for you. We came to the Book Doctor with a small devotional, quite honestly a lost cause with no cover or binding and several severely damaged pages. We were hoping for some sort of cover and binding to preserve it since it is of great sentimental value and over 90 years old. What we received back was a gorgeous gem, a true made-to-order family heirloom. Not only was the cover beautiful, the binding is a work of art and pages we thought were lost forever were delicately and expertly restored. We stand amazed. Again, if you expect to do it on the cheap and have it by next week, forget it. But if the book in question matters to you and you budget for time and money, plan in advance, make an appointment with one of their experts, then expect the best. These are artisans who will pour all their skill and experience into your valued piece and devote entire days solely to its restoration.
