They have helped me locate items and put stuff on hold for me. Jennifer recommended a book to me that I ended up loving. I like that the holds are right inside the front door and that you can do self-checkout. I haven't had the time to do any of the many activities or book clubs but I enjoyed participating in the 2024 adult reading challenge. They had interesting and diverse reading recommendation lists for the prompts and I got to read some wonderful books that I would not have otherwise read.

This branch is about to go through some renovations (as of 3/19/2024) there is a lot of tarping around the entrance, not really sure what is planned. The have the holds right up front, and the check out machines are a bit more modern than in SF. They have several small meeting rooms that are first come first serve. On some nights they are open until 9pm. The hold shelf is only valid for 1 week, not 10 days like SF, and I believe there will be late fees, but I haven't experienced them yet. The website is a little wonky, why can't libraries figure this out? - ahh... non-profits, gotta love 'em!

What could be better? Well I will tell you, they also have a genealogy center. Do you need a quiet room for a zoom? They've got you covered. Need to borrow a computer and print out your resume? Got it. They even have a wall dedicated to job hunters, with flyers showing you local businesses who are hiring. But it is not just books, they have the STRANGEST collection of things you can check out. For example, bongos. Yes bongos. Also metal detectors and sewing machines. New to the area and would like to meet people and learn to play mahjong? I believe that is on Thursdays. This is also where I come to perform my civic duty and vote on all things from school boards to presidents. Libraries are an important community resource and their value is immeasurable. They are the original search engines. An entre building offering knowledge, entertainment, and resources. You can do a great service to your community just by signing up for a library card.

You can find just about anything you want here. They always have events and classes at this location that you can do. I especially love that they offer boardgame nights and all of the kid programs. I need to take advantage of those! I haven't used it yet but they have things like a 3D printer you can use, too. When I search for a newer book they almost always have many many copies so the waitlist goes by pretty quickly. The website is convenient to use and I love being able to add books to a to-read list. I can easily open the website in the library to find my books from the list. It will tell you if the book is available or not, too. Using the website to put books on a waitlist or check them out to pick-up is also effortless. Very clean, very quiet. I can't say enough about how much I love this library.

We all went to the children's area and there was a homeless man mumbling gibberish and conspiracy theories the entire time sitting and using the children's computer. Multiple staff were in the area and they just walked by without a care in the world. What if the man snaps? Why isn't he being directed to the adult computer area (which was open ) ? Why allow this beautiful Library to go downhill with cleanliness and safety ? Disgusting and sad.

A few things that make this library stand out: ~The "Two-Library" Perk: I love that our membership gives us access to both locations. It makes finding specific titles so much easier! ~Digital & Physical Browsing: Their website is user-friendly for reserving books online, but nothing beats the feeling of physically walking the aisles. It's very well-organized and inviting. ~The Children's Area: As someone who works with children, I am always impressed by how clean this space is. They have great toys available, and it's a wonderful environment for little ones to explore. ~Community Respect: I've noticed the families here are very respectful about keeping noise to a minimum. I had no idea the classes/programs they offer for free for toddlers Monday thru Thursday! All the classes are in the morning and are interactive. On Friday, there are no classes but the children's area always has a variety of toys out so I was able to take her there to play. They change the toys out daily so it always seems like something new. If you need to wear out a toddler so they're ready to eat and take a nap, this is the place to go! I'm so appreciative of the Euless Library!

I went to the first counter and told the lady that I was there for a new library card and she asked me for my id or something with my address on it. I told her that I had a picture of an envelope with my name on it and she said unfortunately they could not accept this. She was so nice about it and told me that they are open until 9pm. I was able to find something with my address on it and I returned. I was able to get my library card and I went to the information desk and asked if they had the books on my list. Both of the ladies behind the counter were so nice and helpful. Unfortunately none of the books I wanted were available, but they were at other locations. The awesome ladies recommended a few, but I had either read them or they were not available. I ended up checking out their rows and rows of non fiction and fiction books. I finally decided on a Liane Moriarity book. I told the ladies what I decided and they were so nice and supportive about my choice. I used their self check out, which I love and checked out their community wall. They have tons of activities and events going on at the library and online. With your library card you can get tons of free e-books.
