I went to the charging station, but the chargers were VERY slow to charge. They would not charge above 9%. This was disappointing. I went home to make certain that my phone was working and it worked with other chargers. Printing is 10 cents a page for black and white. The printing machine was very easy to use. The library was clean and organized. It was very hard to move around in a wheelchair . It would be beneficial to have more ADA wheelchair spaces. The renting policies for books and videos are great.

The ambiance is a bit more upbeat that a typical library, almost hip feeling if you will. They have cool teen areas and children's areas that would actually make me ok with going to the library as a kid. Maybe even look forward to it...lol. The first floor is normally used for hanging out and loud people. -Need coffee? We have a cyber cafe that's got lots of caffeine options. -Can't find a book? Well we probably can't either. The thing is people take books off of shelves and move them around or leave them places so there's a good chance it could be awhile before it makes it back to it's place on the shelf. -For the love of god this is a library so don't walk in yelling on your cellphone you dumba$$.

There are many volunteering opportunities with the library such as helping with the book sales, helping shelve books or watering the plants. I've participated in several library sponsored events and they're always so well done. The hosts are organized and they communicate well with both vendors and attendees. Then there are the programs - I can't rave about these enough!!! You can learn to cook, sew, grow, fold, etc. They offer a mix of in-person classes as well as take home kits. Their Spice Club Kit is popular among foodies and they've recently launched a Spice Club Speaker event to go along with the theme. The staff running the in-person classes are so informative and patient; they make it easy to follow along and keep it interesting. It really is a joy to visit my local library.

I really appreciate that because our trip to the library is usually hurried and we need to find good books fast. The librarians always help us find the books we are looking for. Don't miss out on their app, Cloud Library, that lets you borrow e-books and audio books. We use the self-checkout every time and it's really fast and easy. You can even scan your library card barcode on the library app. The library also has a number of private rooms you can borrow.
