My kiddo likes to play with the robots and program them to do sequences. There is a great selection of books as well. Not even a table with puzzles or paper with crayons. Their Saturday story time Is boorrrrinnnggg, too. Today's visit, & probably my last, I was kinda turned off as soon as I entered the door bc no one greets you or even says hello back (or maybe I just didn't hear them cause all the staff were wearing masks... in 2023). But as soon as my curious 2yo wandered into the computer lab/stem room & found a bin of legos that she touched for a total of maybe 8 seconds lol, the bald headed man marched in there & started watching us, making me feel as if I'd let my toddler freaking steal something?! I even said oh sorry she's just a curious toddler, we're just wandering. He didn't say a word & continued to be rude & correct anything she touched. Just wanted to put my experience out here before I submit my formal complaint. I'll stick to Saginaw library-- so kid friendly & the staff is always so friendly. Two stars for cleanliness & organization.

While the NRH Library isn't as modern and expansive as some libraries in larger cities like Dallas or Austin, there's a simple beauty in its organization, cleanliness, and welcoming/helpful staff. The staff are always welcoming and helpful in finding or directing you towards the book you're searching for. Their websites is one of the easier library sites to navigate, they include an event schedule separated into sections for adults, teens, and children--which is a small but helpful feature. They have a drive-thru type of book drop off, so you don't have to physically walk into the library to drop off your library books. They even host the Mid-Cities Teen Book Festival which features various events along with a free lunch that our entire family looks forward to each year! The MakerSpace is an area for arts and crafts and other events for teens and kids, they have Study Rooms for studying, and occassional book sales. It's also close by the NYTEX Centre (ice skating/hockey) and the NRH Centre (arts and recreation) which is very convenient! Highly recommend this library.

Review #11 out of 22 for starting off 2022 Vamonos!!!!!…read more I have taken a couple of classes at this campus over the years and I always love coming here because of how beautiful the campus is. Formerly Radio Shack headquarters (all you millennials who dont know, RS was like Best Buy), the whole building was split between Tarrant has now been aquired by TCC. Back then when RS was still in business they use to share the building, certain sections were RS employees and the rest TCC students/staff. The layout is a bit odd because its on a hill so there are parts where you take an elevator up and then walk down the hall and take the elevator down because not everything is connected. There is a lot of space everywhere you go and you can find cozy little corners to study or take a nap all over the place. If that's not your thing panther island is right outside with plenty of walking trails and during the summer they have paddle boats available for rent. Lots of sculptures and water fountains which look every more beautiful in the summer with the flowers blooming and the Texas heat. I play pokemon go and notice many stops and gyms to keep me entertained. I love this location because there is so much to do between classes, take a walk outside and you are at the trinity river or at a fancy restaurant downtown. This campus in my opinion has the best views of all the campuses, the best cafeteria by a landslide and the best parking situation. Students attending TR need a parking sticker to park here but it is free! All you have to do is go to the police kiosk and show them a copy of your schedule, fill out a sheet and your set to go. Because this parking garage is in downtown they are always strict on parking so FYI. I know a lot of the professors that teach at TCC also teach at other local universities so they are equality professors. You pay a fraction of the price here compared to big name schools. Financial aid is available on top of the already low cost of tuition here. TCC has many clubs and organizations students can join so please take advantage of them.

Needed to run by the advising office and financial aid department to have a few questions answered. Keeping in mind most of the offices are manned by students, I try to keep my cool when dealing with them. However, this one "employee" really got under my skin. Blatantly contradricting something I knew for a fact I read on the school's website, she would not let the issue go. Thankfully someone else stepped in to help after noticing I was about to totally lose it. In the end, I wrapped up all I needed to accomplish on campus and headed on my way. I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2014 from this same campus. A lot has changed since then, but I'm looking forward to taking a few courses for grins and giggles. TCC is a great place for an inexpensive, yet quality, education. Go check it outt!

The basement is a more open student area, with vending machines. Additionally, if you walk down there and immediately look to your left, you should see exercise bikes and treadmills fitted with surfaces to read or study while working out. There are only a couple, so they are first come, first serve. The 6th floor is a big open space with very little furniture, and offices. Great view from the window, however. The other floors are a mix of "quiet floors" and study floors, and the legend on each floor should tell you. The majority of the students hang on floor 2, which is not a quiet floor, but offers the freedom to talk, numerous desktop computers that can be utilized logging in with your MyMav credentials and a tutoring station. Additionally, if you are looking for a small convenience store, this is your spot. Nearly every floor has study rooms that require a reservation. This is the biggest downside - you have to scan the QR code, or type the website, and when you do, you will notice that most rooms are reserved for months out. If you want to reserve a room (particularly one for midterms or finals) I suggest exploring your options by the 3rd week of the semester. The library is 24 hours (with a few exceptions), but if you are a guest (not a student, or a student that does not have a UTA ID) then you will be asked to leave at midnight when UTA Police come around for ID check. From what I have been told, this is due to a previous issue with homeless people sleeping in the library. If you wish to take advantage of the library, but you are not a student, a drivers license will grant you access at the front desk, and the second floor has a guest computer that you can login to. If you can, check out the trees directly in front of the library during the holiday season - the trees are decorated with UTA blue and orange lights. Happy studying!
