Grapevine Honda - No accountability; Can't be trusted. I purchased a 2018 Lexus RX350L from Grapevine Honda, the sales Gus Rodriguez Sr on 1/4/2024, along with a 4-year extended warranty to ensure everything would work properly. However, I found out the GPS didn't work right away, and the Salesperson said Grapevine Honda services could upgrade the software and install the GPS easily. After I brought the car back to Grapevine Honda to upgrade the software, I was told by the Services person that they couldn't do it, but that I could get it fixed easily by any Lexus dealership and the expense would be covered by the extended warranty. After bringing the car to a Lexus dealership, I was finally told the truth: the model didn't come with the GPS and it isn't possible to update the software, I was going to have to spend over a grand to install Carplay if I wanted a GPS. If I had known the GPS wasn't included in the car, I would not have bought that car. For the whole time, the Salespeople promised the software could be easily updated and have the GPS installed at no additional cost, and made me believe that wouldn't be an issue. I feel deceived by Grapevine Honda as they never disclosed the car wasn't equipped with GPS. After I brought the issue up, they just shuffled me around to avoid accountability. I even talked to the GM Mayor Patel who was rude and said how could they know the car wasn't included the GPS. Clearly, they are incompetent and will say anything, even lies, just to make the sale. This was a very bad experience with Grapevine Honda as the salespeople are not honest and don't care about the customers. The GM has no accountability as he won't stand by the car he sold. I will never deal with this dealership ever again and hope you won't have the same experience as I had. read more

I never received a license plate, and when I told them about it they sent me an invalid usps tracking number & want me to pay for another license plate. Tried to talk to them about buying a vehicle. They had a very overpriced Toyota Rav4, but I gave them a chance to offer a more reasonable price. They had it offered online for $23,348. I said I would be ready to buy at a more reasonable price. (The car has been wrecked TWICE and is from PA "rust belt") They responded with a price EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS HIGHER than advertised!!!! Do not trust this dealership! I was instructed after looking at a Honda Accord to go online/their website and complete a application. I was approved for financing and when I notified the salesperson, he got upset with me because I didn't let him know when I did it. In addition, I spoke to Sergio, who identified himself as the assistant to the General Manager....he did not resolve my concerns. In addition, within a hour or two, I received several texts and telephone messages from other salespersons wanting to show me a car. To date, I have not been contacted regarding my personal and confidential application information by the General Manager or Director of Finance. I received a e-mail response from Sergio, "thanking" me for my internet inquiry and stated his title was Internet Director. I've only been here once and it was just for a recall so not much to say. It was a long wait which was expected. Every employee I came in contact with was nice. I will say that this location needs to invest in a cafe like the Arlington location. It would make the long waits less agonizing. SERVICE ONLY EXPERIENCE Being a new facility definitely helps but I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and amenities in the waiting area. on how long it will last but definitely recommend you going here. This is definitely several notches up from other honda dealerships I have been to in DFW. Customer service was nice and friendly. As soon as you drive up, the sensors installed at the gate automatically reads the tread depth and any misalignment of the tires. By the time the agent comes to you, he already has a printed copy of the findings for you. Friendly staff checks you in and plenty of treats for you await while you wait. Free car wash is included even with an oil change, though the wash itself is not that great; hence giving a 4 star overall. read more

I have a national Honda Care service plan and when this new dealership went to find it, it wasn't there. My original dealership had forgotten to put it in the system! Cris in service went WAY above and beyond and got me taken care of while we were waiting for the old dealership to get their ducks in a row. Reality here is NEGATIVE 5 stars... It's hard for me to write this review as I am beyond disappointed and angry from my experience with this dealership. I SHOULD HAVE TRUSTED THE REVIEWS. I went to see a 2022 certified preowned vehicle I had located on the Honda certified site that was at this dealership before closing and was interested but they couldn't easily run the numbers until the car was entered into their website system. The salesman Eduardo Cornejo assured me he would email me over the numbers via email next day so I could unfreeze my credit, shop rates and come back next day. I felt pressured to buy before they closed but did not have everything we would need to buy. Next day, still no numbers sent to me by Eduardo, I received a call in the morning from a salesman whose name and words I could not fully understand, about the car, and we adamantly expressed we were interested still and would be coming to discuss finance options. About an hour later I called and spoke to manager Frank and told him this this would be my first car purchase as I've been driving a 2008 Honda minivan since my drivers license exam. He assured me that Erick would be an asset to work with through the process of buying this car and explaining everything along the way. I told him I was concerned given recent negative reviews mentioned both Frank and Erick by name, he assured me no one would "put hands on this car" or look at this car before we came in to purchase it, which turned out to be a LIE. Several people at the dealership kept saying, " we can't hold used cars it's first come first serve" and yet we were made false promises as it wasn't sold to us and we had in fact come first. Truth is, the salesman Eduardo was unaware they had that vehicle until we came the night before, sold the car to someone else five minutes before we were due to arrive leading us to strongly believe it was sold to someone he knew. We drove 40 minutes to buy a car that was sold without so much as a phone call from anyone asking if we were still interested and still coming in to purchase it. WE ARE DEVASTED. I needed this car, the price was affordable for us since I work as an educator. Erick and his boss Mr. Patel added injury to insult by offering me a new model for $5k more, NOT INCLUDING Taxes, Title, and Fees. I told them the only way this could be made right is if they sold me the new one for $2k less than their half-assed attempted offer to be closer to the price we came to pay, and they could not make that work. Typical bait and switch. Mr. Patel's excuse of not being able to go lower to make this right was, "we all have bosses to report to" and I look forward to conversing with his as well as Honda Headquarters about how this dealership is being run. Look at the Yelp reviews. This dealership does not value long time customers and could not communicate amongst their own staff to sell our dream car to a couple who were planning to start our family in this car. So much for the power of dreams. We were scammed, we were ripped off. The salesman smirked when we walked in the second time, KNOWING he had just sold the car he never sent me numbers to review to purchase. Grapevine Honda's motto is "Exceeding Expectations", yet this place can't seem to deliver the bare minimum one expects from a car dealer. I emailed and called to inquire about pricing for a new Honda vehicle. Later, I received a text message from the sales person, but he never responded to my reply. So I called and was told to expect a follow up call with the information I requested. That call never came. It took multiple phone calls and pushing to get the pricing and inventory availability. One would think that a sales department would be eager to take a serious customer's money, especially with $5000 mark up over MSRP, but not at Grapevine Honda. Dealerships used to be about forming a relationship with the customers that extends simply beyond selling the vehicle. I would highly suggest to Grapevine Honda to show some general care and basic respect to your future customers along with finding ways to improve the timeliness of your communication. read more

I trade in my Toyota highlander with Honda Accord, and the Accord was having some problems when braking ( steering shaking) three day after took the vehicle in for them to fixed it and they were tossing me left and right , back and forth.They were not trying to fixed it and they said I have to paid the service, a certified preown vehicle everything should be good before u gives me the keys. Lastly They called me and said your vehicle tag is in do I want them to mail or pick it up, I said don't mail it I will pick it up tomorrow. I went there to get the tag and they said they have mail it. what kind of stuff is this. I have been waiting for the tag for almost a month now. Sold my car to them about a month ago. They paid off what was owed and we have yet to receive the rest of the balance. When I reach out there has been no reply, for about 2 weeks now. Guess we will have to start calling again. Which I did and got the run around. Would not recommend anyone to sell their car here, seems like there are better choices. I went to buy a used car from them. Got the car salesmen Mike. He extremely low balled me for my trade in, got frustrated with me when I told him other car dealerships where offering me 3k more. Added $1500 for a RECONDITIONING FEE (basically a detail service) and then dropped the deal over $500. They most certainly thought he could take advantage over me being by myself and female and when I kept pushing back, they dropping out of the sale. Overall, wouldn't recommend buying from here. I went to Grapevine Honda with my girlfriend who is a long time Honda owner and was looking to upgrade her 2012 CRV for a new model. Salesperson Porche was very pleasant and enthusiastic and in my opinion was the best part of an otherwise terrible experience. My GF has 800+ credit score and owns her CRV outright. KBB and Carmax had already gave her estimates of greater than $8000 trade in value. We knew all the figures and knew in the current climate that negotiating a lower price was not going to happen, and we were fine with that. The first surprise came in the form of what is referred to as a "Dealer Add", this is where dealerships add a few amenities to all of their vehicles. In DFW its common to add tinted windows and a few other cosmetic options. Grapevine Honda's dealer add was a staggering $2700. Second was their appraisal of her trade, which came in at $7000, much less than 2 other sources valued it. Finally the finance manager ("one of"), informed my gf that the lowest rate banks were offering was 5%. This was before this genius had even had her fill out a credit app and knowing she was looking to finance the balance after trade in. Topping all of this off was his absolutely crap customer interaction skills. I have been in sales/sales management my entire career. In the 30+ years and various positions I have held, I have never seen a bigger a**hole complex in my life. Just a toxic individual whose ineptitude queered any desire to craft a deal. Obviously we thanked Porche and left. Fast forward two days and we decided to go to Huggins Honda, spoke with a great salesguy there named Mike Lee. I spoke about the "Dealer Add" and other issues from our Grapevine Honda experience. Huggins Honda valued the trade at $9000, their Dealer Add was $1596 and he was able to knock $500 off that, finally his finance guy got her a 3.29% rate. Huggins checked all the boxes for us because they understood that the car purchase is only the beginning of a long term relationship, not the end. I'm a Honda fan and wouldn't think of buying any other brand. I kept driving by the new location for Honda of Grapevine and I'd been thinking about upgrading my Civic for a Pilot (mom car) all year. My Civic was the best car ever, I'm sure someone else is already happily driving it. I knew exactly what I wanted and what offers they had. I was met by a pleasant and helpful salesman that found my car, worked with me on the price, and I was out the door driving in a couple of hours. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I like to think that I negotiated an unbelievable deal...but I know it worked out for everyone if they let me have the car for the price I asked, lol. I got the lifetime oil changes and about a month later they contacted me saying that we forgot to sign some papers and they sent them to me to make sure I would get the oil changes. The whole experience of buying a new car was very pleasant. Grapevine Honda has great customer service and they were honest and ethical. read more

I bought my Honda Accord from here in October and just brought it in for its first service at 5k miles. I signed up for the recommended value service, including engine fluid replacement, tire rotation, oil/filter change, and check-up. When I got here they let me know two things: A, I did not need my engine fluid done until my next oil change and B, my oil changes were included for life when I bought my car. Plus, they taught me how to tell when my car was needing maintenance. Honest people who did not try and upsell me on maintenance of all things. My bill went from $115 to $25.
