Granny's serves the best chicken fried steak I've ever had! We always stop by when we travel home to Dallas. As soon as we sit down, we order a whole chocolate pie to take home. They sell out fast, so that's our first priority. Our server Tiffany, was friendly and provided excellent service. This place is over 20 years old and everything still looks very clean and well kept. We highly recommend it! read more

Drove an hour just to try this place out and we were not disappointed! It's very cozy inside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is just like you'd expect from granny's kitchen! You get nice-sized portions too! Enough to take home leftovers. Now the star of the show is their pies! The best coconut cream pie I've ever had in all of my 54 years! Prices are unbelievably low and well worth every penny! Trust me...you won't be disappointed! read more

The food is nasty and greasy. We both had fried catfish that tasted like river water. The onion rings were good. French fries were soggy and greasy. Not very friendly staff. The homemade desserts looked good but dirty dishes lined up by the restrooms and we could not finish our meal. Just avoid this place. I'm guessing it would fail a health inspection. read more

Passing thru and stopped at this place. For a small town place, they're doing a great job with the food here. A flavorful coating on the chicken fried steak. The gravy tasted better than it looks. And the brown beans were certainly flavorful. I'd go back anytime! read more

Granny's Kitchen is an excellent place for you and a friend or for a large group of friends. The food was amazingly good with a large selection of dishes and a wide range of daily specials. The service was top notch as we had a party of 12 and were well taken care of. The fried pies were exceptional and the prices very reasonable. read more

No just NO! Slow slow slow and forgetful! We ordered regular sandwiches and it took 45 mins! Fries were cold and tasteless! Texas toast wasn't Texas toast!! Never got my entire order. Dead bees everywhere and not clean! Bathroom equally unclean. I would give no stars if I could. You need to train your kitchen and staff better! There should be a manager on the floor helping staff. Yes it's a mom and pop but that's when it should be really good! ZERO will not come back! Oh and FYI clean your walls and the nasty explicit writing on the walls. read more

Went here for breakfast... Every single thing we tried was delicious... Steak and Eggs, Biscuit with Sausage Gravy, Biscuits with Chocolate Gravy (whaaat?!), Chicken Fried Steak... O!M!G!! I had a daily special it came out cold and when they brought outa new plate it was just as cold while my parents food was hot and they were almost completely done and then had to wait on me to finish before being able to leave. Portion size was great! People were friendly read more

We were nearby in Fayetteville as my brother passed away. I'd lived in Huntsville for a few years growing up, and got a wild hair and decided to bring my husband the short hop up to Huntsville. Boy has it changed and yet it hasn't. I was so happy to find Granny's Kitchen. We were hungry and they delivered. The club sandwiches were packed with very tasty meat and quality tomatoes and lettuce. I got onion rings and hubby got tots. You can tell a place changes their frying oil regularly when the fried foods are crisp and you can taste the food and not the burned old oil. So, Granny's definitely changes their oil regularly. We were fighting over the tots. Bathrooms were clean, but a bit dark until you found the light switch. Service was excellent. We were well taken care of. Portions were large. And we were in and out fairly quickly. read more

Best staff ever the food was so good. If you come on Fridays you can get their jalapeño chicken it's so good.

Went to Granny's for dinner tonight. Had an amazing chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans with toast. The dinner also came with a nice side salad. For dessert I had the cherry pie - the crust was delicious. Nice country atmosphere with amazing staff - I would definitely recommend this place and plan on going back soon. read more

Terrific selection for gluten free as one of the founders has celiac family. Great home cooked meals. Our family always goes out of the way to eat here when we're passing through this part of Arkansas. read more

Observation. Of first impressions. Good food but you best be ready for a wait. Once seated it took quiet a while just to get a BLT. Literally over an hour waiting at our table of 4 for a BLT. Wait staff consists young girls in yoga pants. Kinda too cheeky for me. However the Decor is nice. 72 decibels in dining area. A big table by restrooms for the " towns" elite or who's who of Huntsville. Be ready. The pies are yummy. read more

Good food for breakfast, lunch or supper Friendly service and the people and the place makes you feel like your having dinner with friends or family in your own home. All of the dishes were excellent. Tea tasted like it was just brewed. Our waitress was wonderful. She even went back and wrote us a list of all of the desserts they had. Brought the pie to eat later... Chocolate, coconut cream and cheesecake. She packed it for the ride back home. read more

We were in the area around lunch time and found this place on Yelp with good reviews so we decided to stop. The food was very good. Our server, Beth, showed us to a nice booth and took our drink order. She returned shortly and told us about the daily lunch specials. They all sounded good but, decided on the Bar-B-Q Pork plate with mashed potatoes, Homemade Biscuit and one side. I ordered a side of pinto beans. My wife got the same thing with Fried Squash. Our meals arrived quickly and Beth brought some homemade strawberry jam to try on our biscuits. It was delicious as was everything else. We were so full we did not have room for the homemade pies they had for desert. If you are in the area at Breakfast(serving till 11:00) or Lunch(till 1:30) time be sure to stop in give them a try. They close at 2:00 and those are the only meals they serve. read more

Went today and ordered burgers. They were cooked perfectly, not overly greasy, great flavor. Fries on the side were a little soggy but not bad. Best part was the amazing pumpkin cheesecake. So worth it. Will be back for that. read more

Great food and environment... daily specials. Family owned and everyone is super friendly!

The breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good. Breakfast burritos and grits is good. Waitresses are nice and friendly.

Great service very helpful and upbeat. Food was just like your grandmother is cooking in the kitchen. Atmosphere very chill. Prices are alright with the way the economy is now. If you want to have a nice breakfast Granny's is a good place to eat and let Granny do the dishes. read more

The breakfasts here are outstanding!! Biscuits and gravy to die for!! Don't pass it by!

We ordered 2 baked potatoes that each came with a roll, before 11:30 a.m. on a Monday. We waited more than 30 minutes and watched other folks come in, sit down, order food, and get their meals before our two baked potatoes arrived (not hot) at noon. The rolls were dry and did not come with butter. When I asked if this was a normal wait time, we were told that it was unless you ordered one of the specials. We had flies as 'guests' at our table, too. Do not recommend (unless you've got a book or newspaper to read, or plenty of time to just sit and wait). read more

I travel to Huntsville maybe once a month to visit my girlfriend and she suggested Granny's for a late dinner, not knowing anything about it other than it's a diner I said sure. I called in the order and brought it back to her place and OMG it was so darn good. I got the BLT and some onion rings and it was probably the Best BLT I have had, the lettuce was fresh, the tomato was juicy and the Bacon and mayo were aplenty. The onion rings were fried perfectly and I wish I asked for ranch but even without it so darn good. She got the twice baked potato......OMG it comes in weighing like 2 pounds filled with butter, cheese, and bacon. No part of me thought that a twice baked potato would come in like that behemoth. If you live in town you are lucky, cheap and amazing. If you are just passing through, stop here cause the food is amazing. read more

The food was great like always and the staff was very kind to us. We love the rustic country feel of the place.

Very good home cookin I love all the specials they have and the chef salad is really good too. The twice baked potato is enough for 3 people and so good. Pulled pork is also really good. in other words I haven't had a bad meal read more
