Great way to kill an hour and half or so - but it's definitely not exciting scenery . Not a lot to see - would probably be gorgeous in the fall . Ride was relaxing , staff were polite . Ride was enjoyable and there are some things for kids ( balloons , ice cream , clowns ) but I don't think young kids would find it particularly entertaining . We enjoyed ourselves and found it relaxing , and the vintage train car was quite interesting .

All American tourist trap but if kids in tow and just the right age to still have magical thinking regarding the North Pole, Santa and the elves the Polar Express is a treat you should indulge the children with. They do all the right things: carols on the train ride, hot chocolate for everyone, free scarves and "red carpet service" with candy and front row seating to those with Premier tickets (a must in my opinion). The set and setting is a step above horrid but if creative thought reins the young ones won't notice as Santa's workshop and the magical fairy-like lights the elves carry transports them far away. Most impressive is Santa's patience to touch nearly all the children, hug and hand hold. Truly sweet and a memory generator for years to come.

Great service and a nice ride through the area. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend giving it a try.

Ice castle tours 16$ definitley a tourist trap but I've never seen anything like it a must do it once type of thing. Overpriced but a must see if you haven't yet. Great pictures. Worth it i think.

Polar Express Magic train they said!! What a huge let down! Went before Christmas and was so excited that we would take a train and enter the North Pole like the movie! First make sure you buy a first class ticket because that's the only good thing. We got a free scarf and Iuke warm hot chocolate. We take a train ride for about 10 minutes and then have get out and walk around and then head into a building. You take a seat with a bunch of strangers and wait for a show to start! Finally the boring show starts and soon Santa comes out. Santa was great for the first 15 minutes but then all the little children were getting tired of sitting and listening to Santa ask each and every child what they want for Xmas. Save your money and go to the mall and then a place for some hot chocolate. We brought my nephew and he pointed out some really bad made costumes. However the actors were great and they did the best they could.

We got there 10minutes early and were informed some guidelines to follow. Got myself a hat since I forgot to bring one was pretty cold. Since it was during offseason we were only ones there. We were escorted to the gear house and equipped with helmet, safety harness and a latch. The staff gave us a ride to the zip line course and took a truck up the hill. They did tell us to make sure to keep helmet on and seatbelt because it was going to be rough ride up due to it being mud season. It sure was a rough ride up and probably was in the air quite a few times during the ride. I looked at one of the staff and used my foot to secure myself like he was doing to keep myself stable which helped. It was definitely the toughest part of the experience. Once we got to the zip line area we were given a brief instructions for safety and we buckled up and started our zip line session. In the beginning it was a bit intimidating but the staffs were all very nice and made us feel safe during the experience. Once we got going it was very enjoyable and thrilling. It was cold but we were mostly prepared and dressed warm and the hat I purchased helped. The views were also beautiful. At the end we got to go in a treehouse and take some picture at the end. After we finished we were escorted back to the truck and took the van to the main facility which was a mild ride compared to on the way. We dropped off our equipments and left the facility. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and had a great time. Everyone was nice and accommodating made us feel safe. It was also nice that we were only ones there because we got a private session and full attention during the experience. Definitely would recommend for those that enjoy or beginner who would like to try zip lining. My partner who can be la little anxious about these experience enjoyed it and was perfectly fine throughout the experience. The experience was a bit on pricier side but I think it was worth it.

The car ride is very bumpy, and it for the faint of heart. If you have back problems, this is not the car ride for you~ apparently during the summer, guests have to hike up rather than use the trucks which seems like a moderate level walk in my opinion. We were the only guest since it was spring off season~ plenty of mud but it was great! We prepped with our hiking boots, layers, and hats are a must. Gloves helped our hands stay warm. The staff seem close and look like they enjoy what they do~ really great experience filled with views and good happy adrenaline screams!

This tour was a joke...sorry guys!…read more The guys were nice but it cost us $95 (and another $95 for my son and his gf) and they literally went up and down the sameeee couple roads all night. There was a stop at a convenience store in the middle. Convenience store was really nice (probably the highlight of the trip honestly) but they kept telling us over and over to thank the convenience store for staying open for us. Of course we were thankful but come on, they made out too since most of us bought something there and that's where the bus got its gas. Not only that, but if there wasn't a stop mid-way, we never would have took the tour. So why don't YOU thank the convenience store for staying open for YOUR tour? Also, maybe tell everyone once, not over and over like we are children??? We never saw any moose and although they state they have a 90% success rate (highly doubt that) and there's a chance you won't see any, in my opinion, they (as a business) should have offered us something. It didn't have to be money. It could have been a 50% off ticket for another tour or anything really. Think of it this way, we'll never be back. We live in MA and go to the White Mountains often. Someone asks us...we say...oh no, don't do that tour. Boom...you lost even more business. Not my problem but as a business, you might want to think through your policy's. There's not a person in the world who wants to spend $95 per couple to go on a tour of the same two or three streets for 3 1/2 hours and see nothing! The kicker was at the end when they had the gall to ask for a tip and put a flashing red sign that says something like, no tip is too big. Are you even kidding me???? Nice guys but maybe should think about their business model. Very important to know, you are NOT guaranteed to even be able to sit with your person or people you go with. Ridiculous! Also, supposedly doing this for years (I forget the exact amount but 30 plus comes to mind), and you don't know when the moose will come out (type of conditions) or do a little drive by before the tour? If we saw a moose, I'd feel the same way but at least I'd feel like I got something for my money. Meh...wasn't impressed. Don't waste your money and just go do the drive yourself. There's lots of maps on where to see moose in the area. We would have done this as well but thought we'd have better luck with the so called "experts"

The tour was ok but the business is a crap show…read more I purchased tickets for me and my two kids. We arrived on time and were given a card indicating when we would board. Our card, #11, would board last. I was told there were no assurances I would be able to sit with my kids as we would get whatever is left. As we boarded the bus, we walked down the aisle, looking for available seats...there were two seats left toward the back where my kids sat together but that was it. All seats were taken. The owner apologized and said that two people must have boarded without tickets. He then asked me to come back tomorrow rather than try and find out who did not have tickets to board the bus. I told him we had planned our entire day around this trip and I would not be able to return tomorrow. He then shrugged the shoulders like we were out of luck...not his problem. There was an elderly couple that saw this transpire and offered to give up there two seats and come back the next day so that I could ride with my kids on the tour. As much as I didn't want to pass on my problems to them, I graciously accepted their offer. I think it's disgusting that the owner of the company would rather allow two people with no tickets on board and screw up an entire day for paying customers than to take the time to find out who was on the bus that didn't have tickets. I don't understand why they just don't check tickets as people board. The way they line everyone up to enter the bus, anyone can jump in line and no one would know. This experience ruined the night for me. Yes, we saw a couple of moose roadside on the three hour tour but the way they run their company, I would find another tour that would make a point to allow you to sit with your children and your tickets that you paid for is actually yours for the night not some freeloader who is rewarded and gets away with taking your seat.

I had heard there were gorges & caves to explore different from other trails nearby along with beautiful pines and waterfalls. It exceeded all my expectations! It says this is a 1 mile loop hike but be prepared- I walk a 5k daily & this trail kicked my butt in a good way. It was moderately challenging- I went in the rain so it was a bit cooler too. The best advice I could offer is to take a backpack with snacks, another jacket just in case (although i layered up), pack rain pants to help keep me warm in the rain, and shoes with good traction. And plenty of water. Beanies may also be a good option to keep your head warm from the cold. And a portable battery. Also, if you haven't traveled with a car like me..then the Shuttle Connection is a life saver to travel in town. Way cheaper than Uber and fairly quick to transport you wherever you want to go. Also for travelers go back and forth to other states travel by bus is the perfect and most affordable way to travel. This trail offered amazing views, great photo ops, and plenty of additional trails to explore. They also make sure to keep everything maintained and safe for hikers exploring. Everything is well labeled and easy to follow. They do say and I can attest- travelers who have difficulty walking or have walkers etc..this may not be an ideal trail. Also, for younger children this may not be an kdela hike because of how extensive the elevation is. You are climbing a mountain and waterfall elevation. Make sure to look up details on their trail before you plan a trip. But well worth the hike :)

It's about a two mile trek, and you can do it, either counter clockwise or clockwise. We did it backward, mid winter. It was so awesome. You could hear the water rushing fast and cold, under the snow. Be very careful with your footing, while making your way through this hike! The covered bridges are beautiful, again , in every season, but there is something so special about hiking with a snow-globe effect. The colors in fall, are also a must see.
