Lord and Taylor are still empty, as is California Pizzeria. That flummoxed me, California Pizzeria. No clue why it closed. Always packed. Reasonable prices. Not bad food either. Perhaps a victim of COVID-19? I don't remember, but I remember it was good for my daughters. Davio's was palace my bride and would go every other month. Or we'd meet my daughters there when they were home from college. Why'd they close? Always busy. No place to get a cup of coffee... even the Starbucks left. SSP has changed in many ways, and not for the better.

That was a pleasant surprise and I will definitely be going back to buy a jar to keep at home. A great stop if you want something rich, unique, and worth the calories.

Fine plaza in Braintree. Some decisions the plaza have made…read moreI don't agree with, like the weird, weird, entrance, and having only one exit that is impossible to avoid a huge traffic backup on ANY day, but overall it's getting better. First, this plaza used to have a Borders Books, which I really liked, and wished stayed, but that company went out of business, which wasn't the choice of Atlantic Retail, who owns the "Marketplace @ Braintree". Guitar Center isn't really my thing, but I guess it was an ok place to put in the former Borders. Next door to Guitar Center, they have recently added a Five Below (maybe 2-3 years ago). Five Below is probably my favorite store in the plaza, technology, candy, gift supplies, arts & crafts, sports equipment, games, and other great stuff, for all under $5. Next, in the actual plaza there is a Petsmart, Sports Authority, Kmart- which is closing in January, to become a Nordstrom Rack & Saks 5th Ave (good move by Atlantic Retail, that dirty old Kmart needed a lift), ULTA Beauty, Bed Bath & Beyond, Babies R Us, Staples, GameStop, and Best Buy. All of these stores are all fine for the most part, just old, and not as clean or large as other locations in the area (such as BB&B, Best Buy, Petsmart). But overall, the Braintree Marketplace has a lot of good stores and has made this plaza a destination to go to in Braintree. I'm looking forward to Saks 5th Ave & Nordstrom Rack to open (as well as a restaurant). Located off Route 3 (Take Exit 17 for Union Street) on Grossman Drive. 4 stars.

Late in the evening, there was plenty of parking. The plaza is anchored by the Shaw's grocery store but there is also a Marshalls here among others. Two major entrances, one of which has a traffic light. You could also sneak out by the fast food place or out the back past Shaw's. It is a short walk to the T station but don't be tempted to park here for the T. They have signs posted that you'll be towed.

The good things are you can walk between Shaw's, Michaels and Marshall's, so you get a lot of variety. Definitely don't go here in a rush though because you have to circle around and wait for parking.

Decent little plaza in Quincy. Granite Place sits on a good…read moresized parcel of land in between three major roads in the busy city of Quincy, Granite Street, Hannon Parkway, and Burgin Parkway. The plaza has a large parking lot (especially for being in such a city-like area, where I would assume there would be extremely limited amounts of parking), and has a decent variety of stores. It never seems to be overwhelmingly busy, is easy to get in and out of, and even has an adorable, tiny Dunkin Donuts drive thru in the parking lot (might be 20 sq ft in size.... if that). While it did lose Party City recently (which opened in a different spot), it gained Dollar Tree, which is a one hundred percent benefit in my opinion! Some of the storefronts throughout this shopping center include Olympia Sports, Dollar Tree, TJ Maxx, Papa Gino's, DressBarn, Boston Market, and Burger King. For Quincy residents, this area is thriving since the city is large and throughout this is one of the largest shopping centers around. Decent spot to shop in the Quincy area, and convenient being near two grocery stores, Lowe's, Home Depot, BJ's and other retailers. Pharmacy across the street too. May not be the newest or nicest, but the setup works for the shape of this site. Access points are on Hannon Parkway and Granite Street. 4 stars for Granite Place.

I mostly come here to check out new shoe inventory, usually HOKA, Brooks, and OnClouds that they have at discounted prices. For clothing, they have a decent selection: Free People, Madewell, ASTR the label, ALLSAINTS, Naked Wardrobe, Rag & Bone, Good American, Frame jeans, Paige jeans, and Joe's to name a few. I love the selection of DSW but didn't like that I'd have to drive to the North Shore or take the T into Boston to visit them for shoe shopping. This store is one floor, but still houses a lot of shoes for both men & women. The prices are reasonable and there are often sales for DSW rewards members. (It's free to join the rewards program and I recommend doing son.) There is a clearance section in the back of the store divided by sizes, so sometimes you can find a gem there. The one problem with this location is there is no cell reception or internet service, so your cell phone battery can drain searching for a signal while you browse. They also ran an offer on Facebook to promote their store opening ($5 off) but you could not pull the offer up on your phone in the store due to the cell phone dead zone. However, the sales associate who checked me out took the $5 off with no problems, completely understanding why I couldn't pull up the offer on my phone. So, make sure you print coupons that aren't stored on your rewards card before heading to the store. I'm looking forward to lots of future shopping trips here.

I arrived late in the day and had fully anticipated on departing with my ring for a week or two. When I went in, I was greeted by general manager, Ashley Coffey. Ashley was so nice and attentive. She gave me an excellent price for the repair and they fixed my ring within a couple of hours. When I got home I still was not happy with the size so I returned the next day and she had it fixed on the spot. I also purchased a necklace and earrings and she took my trade in and gave me a great price. I highly recommend Jared's in Braintree. Top notch service

I had to go back to get a watch resized -- I called ahead and they said they weren't busy and could resize the watch with same day turnover. I waited 45 mins again, only for the associate to admit she lost a piece to my watch because her nails were too long to do the job. I had to return the next day to pick it up. When I returned, the associate gaslit me into thinking I didnt leave the box with them; she gave me the watch in a plastic bag. Finally a helpful associate reassured me they did have the box. Thankfully he did not go to Jared's :) Gave an extra star for Natalie and Lily who were very kind and helpful!

Like in Marianne W's, case my family bought practically everything from them. We are talking about appliances, bicycles for my brother and I and a lot of clothes for our entire family. Remember those Christmas catalogs; my brother and I spent practically everyday months before Christmas scrutinizing our wish list. Sears was like a trustworthy friend to our family. I sure miss them! So many memories of Sears in my childhood.

It was hard to get replacement bags and too cumbersome to drag around my apartment. Sears provided great warranty service for a price though. My parents were sucked in. Pretty soon the annual insurance premium was more than just replacing the appliance. What happened to them I just don't understand. Poor management or what? It was very sad watching their demise. Sorry Seats but you get one star.
