I am not a big dog park goer since our Shibas are escape artists and we worry about letting them off leash. They would be half way to Kansas before they realized that maybe they should think about where they are going and wait up for mom & dad :) This is sort of a smaller suburban dirt dog park and not the big open trail kind of dog park I envisioned (or had been to in the past). There are a couple of large pens (one for small dogs and one for large ones) that the dogs can play and run in leash free. I think I was expecting more of what you get at Chatfield or Cherry Creek, where it is more open land with trails. I have no idea why, since this is kind of tucked way off Quincy and really only has a small amount of space to work with. It is nice enough if you have a friendly dog who wants to run and play with some new pals in a fenced in area. However, if you are looking for dog friendly trails, then you will be disappointed.

Best dog park ever! 2+ acres to run around on. Lots of dogs. Lots of water bowls throughout the park. My dogs had so much fun! This will be an everyday stop for us while we're in Aurora. Highly suggest!

Took the pups here today. My gps wasn't accurate in finding it but once you do there's a pretty good space for parking. The dirt path leads to the entrance area for the dogs. This park is HUGE! I love that it's spacious enough for the dogs to run around and not be crowded. There's nice little areas on the side where you can set up a bowl of water for your pups. The dogs here are super friendly and their owners are as well. Bring baggies & water for your dogs. The park is well kept and it helps when the people who go contribute.

This park is, as everyone has said, all dirt but it's large and located among a populated area so there is rarely a day without a dog to socialize with yours. Now, like kids, dogs misbehave, need direction, and tend to pick on other dogs. This is the life of dogs and we hope those dog owners with rambunctious and even poorly socialized dogs can step up and keep the training going WHILE in the park. We hope. We gently encourage. Then we take it into our own hands and train YOUR dog. There is NOTHING wrong with this if we are kind and are doing it to help our OWN dog from getting picked on or just played with too roughly. I think most people in a dog park want utopia and this just isn't realistic. The park can be a super fun place to take our fur-babies but we have to watch them like we would children just so THEY can have a better time. No dog is perfect and, like they say of kids, it takes a village to raise them so maybe we could help each other out a bit? That's my rant on Dog parks. As for this dog park: It's good because it's big, has an agility course, has a small dog area, a porto-potty, and is located close to lots of people. It's bad because it's super dirty, tends to attract a LOT of untrained dogs and owners who don't seem to care (see above), and doesn't have much in the way of scenery to look at. It's mid-range on rating but worth the trip in variety of pups alone.

    Sadie on the agility course!

This park is a really good size and it leaves plenty of room for our dog to run (and she is definitely a runner). I've been twice now so far and I plan on going many many more times but I will definitely be selective about the times that I go. The first time I went it was around 4 o'clock on a week day and it was pretty crowded; obviously people were taking their dogs after getting off work. There was a group of people sticking together and ignoring their dogs who happened to be large breeds and un-neutered and were picking fights with each other. I had to leave because the fighting was freaking out my little 6 month old lab. The second time I went was on a sunday afternoon and the crowd was much much better. All friendly people with well behaved dogs so my pup was able to run and play carefree. so my advice is to just be selective with the time that you go. Also, there is a small dog area and I beg those of you with small dogs to stick to that side. I know a lot of you seem to think that "your dog can handle it" but someone was there last time with a teeny tiny yorkie puppy that got completely run over because my dog was running at top speed and didn't see it. Its stressful to your little pup so please don't subject your small dog to that.

A happy German Short Haired Pointer. He loves this park.

This is a decent dog park. It's all dirt, so I would not recommend it on a rainy day. My pups have fun here, but then again they could have fun with a cardboard box. There is a small dog area which is nice, unfortunately this fence does not keep my German Shorhaired Pointer out of that area. He just LOVES little dogs, so I have to watch him around that fence. There is an area for you to water your dogs too, which is very nice during the summer days. I'll go back, because it is close and rather big for a city area.

Great park, looks like a farm area, really good size. Has a small dog area as well. Not too busy on Mother's Day. Hard dirt, water bowls around. Have a small activity run. Plastic chairs for the humans. Our dogs had fun and so did we!

Great Aurora dog park. Lots of space, friendly people. Big but not huge. My dog played and played.

Great little dog park with grass, lots of room to run, and running water. Also, never seems to be very crowded!

We love this dog park. Free parking, free water and lots of room to run. Wish they had more greenery.

This dog park has gone down hill quickly. Not maintained well at all. Lots of stickers, dirt, and weeds. Very sad

There are other off-leash dog parks in Colorado, but none of them are even close to being as nice as this one. There is so much space to walk around, some agility training stations, Cherry Creek where the dogs love to cool down and play, etc. There is even a horse staple, obviously closed off so people and dogs can't enter, if you want to pay for some horse riding. I do see some dog owners every now and then not pick up after their dogs and please don't be those people. They even provide poop bags all over the park. There is a fee to enter the park but if you pay for your state park pass through your vehicle registration, it is free. Totally worth it in my opinion! The only downfall I can think of is that the bathroom at the entrance is the only one there and it is pretty foul, but it is a bathroom at a park so it is to be expected. Make sure to use the bathroom before coming!

I appreciate that the park is always maintained. This place is always packed on the weekends but the park has a few entrances as well that make it easier for my reactive dogs to enter. Get the annual pass, it is definitely worth it!

My dogs are bigger and need more room to run however. Important things: There are "regulars" (humans) who tend to gather in the middle area to chat which can mean they are not watching their dogs closely. Always pick up your dogs poop! There are plenty of trash cans and poop bags throughout the park. There is a short walk from the parking lot to the park, make sure your a dog is leashed the whole time. However, it is sadly extremely common for people to bring unneutered and poorly mannered male dogs, who want to hump everything in sight. Since this is my go-to spot when crunched for time, I have seen a tremendous number of nearly-horrible situations, mostly caused by owners who haven't spent the time socializing or training their dogs. There is also an issue of mud. Forget about coming here when the snow is melting or after a rain. It is MUDDY. The dog park is sloped and the entrance is at the bottom of the hill, and so a lot of the water collects there. There is also no grass or gravel. All in all, it's a decent place to go, but I prefer Glendale open space because there is more room for the dogs to spread out, it's normally much drier even after the snow melts, and has a real walking path.
