My Dr Pepper was undrinkable. it had a greasy film on the top of it (look at your soda if you go an order a drink). It was over carbonated... like drinking carbonated water with a hint of flavor added...the calibration is way out of whack Bacon is burnt and undercooked for my wife and me both. Great for breakfast or lunch! Their Reuben was wonderful, and came with a nice serving of fries. Homemade Thousand Island was the perfection addition, and I asked for extra so I could dip my fries...mmmm!! Very comfortable atmosphere. On a trip to Vegas we were looking for a place to enjoy a good breakfast while driving Route 66 outside Laughlin Nevada in Arizona. I can always count on fellow Yelpers for guidance. Grandpaw's Kitchen had several reviews with a 4.5 star rating. It did not disappoint. We received so much good food at a very reasonable price that I have to agree with my fellow Yelper's ratings. Besides the great food, you might actually believe Grandma and Grandpaw are back in the kitchen. Grandpa's is the quintessential All American diner serving simple fresh tasty Americana breakfast and lunch. The American diner over the last two decades has increasingly become a dwindling resource as multinational chains take over market share with their "Play Doh" factory portion controlled processed food much the way that "Golden Arches" place serves food. Grandpa's is none of that. Fresh eggs with some of the orangest yokes I've seen in the US in awhile! Perfectly crispy on both sides hash browns, perfectly cooked grits, and the Machaca Beef Burrito that would have carried me through to dinner packed with roast beef, cheese egg and chilies. Definitely a gut-buster I guess if anything, Grandpa's years of experience gives you comfort in knowing that they know how to do the basics. Terrible service, had to wait 20 minutes for MENUS, had to ask for coffee refills, waited nearly an hour for our food, place was busy (why, I don't understand) , only two waitresses, tables were dirty, ketchup bottle on table had clumps of old, dried up ketchup on the lid, floor was filthy, sign in restroom telling workers to wash their hands was a Mohave County Health Department notice describing how much bacteria reside in a clump of "poop" ([why would you put that sign in a customer restroom?]), food was mediocre, overpriced. We've eaten here several times, and have always brought our out-of-state guests, it seemed kind of an old-fashioned place to come to. The food has been good and even this time it was good. The problem is that the bathrooms were beyond filthy. As in really gross. I was embarrassed to have brought a friend with such filthy bathrooms. the service was great. We were in the area on a mini vacation and decided to stop by this little hometown diner. We were greeted with warm smiles and hot coffee. The service was quick and friendly. The food came out hot and with enough butter to make sure you knew! Everytime one of the lovely workers walked by they asked if I wanted more coffee (they carried the fresh hot pot around with them). We could tell that several regulars walked in as they were greeted by name and there orders remember by heart. If I lived here I would come every single week. Oh and the food was AMAZING!
