Egg White, Turkey and Swiss, S+P on a Roll
    Janine P.

We stopped by Grandma's for a quick breakfast while our pup was at the Dog Groomer in Hillsborough Township. Had we not used the GPS and Google Mapped the Building to get an idea of what it looked like, we would have passed right by this adorably quaint, happenin' little coffeeshop. I wanted to test the basic skill set of this cute snack shack, so I went with my regular: Egg whites, Turkey & Swiss, S+P on a Roll. The man got Porkroll, Egg & Cheese with (2) Hash browns. I snatched us a table to dine 'Al Fresco' and he waited inside for our orders. With at least four other customers ahead of us, our orders were ready in less than 10 minutes. Impressive! I take a bite of the hash brown first. Super crispy, super flavorful, not over-salted or over-seasoned; Puts McDonald's Hash browns to shame. I took a bite of my sandwich and I was impressed. Egg whites can get dry very quickly and these were very tender and moist. The cheese and turkey were abundant; just as I like. I was thrilled with my breakfast. Both of our sandwiches, hash browns and Snapples were about $20. With tip, it was $25. Next time we pass by, we're definitely going to stop in for something more adventurous.

I will go out of my way for hotdogs and this spot was well worth it! I need 85 characters to post but that bout summed it up.

    Tiny inside but never over-crowded.

Amazing little place you would probably never notice or stop at. That would be a tragedy. It is a tiny little place you would miss completely if you aren't looking for it. It is totally unassuming but it is not to be missed. They have excellent Taylor Ham sandwiches, good burgers, good empanadas (OK, the hot dogs aren't so good) - but it is the onion rings that blow me away. I have no idea how they do it. First off, I hate, hate, hate, undercooked onions in onion rings. Truly can't stand them. Typically, there are several options when it comes to onion rings. There are onion strings that are whispy thin and dredged in flour. I like them but they are not onion rings at all. There are thinly sliced onions also coated in flour that come out nicely but aren't fully satisfying. What i truly like is a thick onion ring dipped in a nice thick batter. The issue is, it is virtually impossible to get them cooked properly. Either you cook them at a low temperature to cook all the way through and they are total grease bombs. You cook at a higher temperature long enough to cook the onions correctly and the outside is burned. You cook the outside correctly and the onions are way underdone. Somehow they manage to find that magic spot where the inside and outside are perfect. Every time. I dream about these things. So, give it a try. The inside is tiny but most of the business is take away so I have never had trouble finding a table. Really kitschy garden out front to keep you entertained while you wait for your food. Just go. You won't be sorry.

Small little shop that offers a variety of comfort food. They have wraps, hot dogs, burgers, breakfast food, etc. Service was pretty quick. We were in and out the restaurant within 15 min.

This mom and pop restaurant doesn't look like much when you drive by on Rt 22 East in Branchburg. Its located next door to the Royal/30 Burgers. It's a little green building with a decent size parking lot. It's good for Truckers because you have room to park. This is a very casual place, nothing fancy, it could use a little updating. It's wheelchair accessible. You can also place an order by phone and swing by and pick it up. They also have local delivery.( call and dbl check your area.) They have some indoor dining, and a few patio tables outside with a cute little gnome garden. Grandma's serves breakfast and lunch everyday and Sundays from 6a to 3pm. Saturdays 7a- 3pm. They offer a good selection of items. Grandma's is known for their delicious chili dogs. I had to come try it for myself. I ordered 2 CHILI DOGS with CHILI, CHEESE, and ONIONS. To my surprise, the chili dogs were some of the best I've ever had. They use premium Thumman's hot dogs which are deep fried. ( if you like Rutts Hut or Hot Dog Johnny's you'll love Grandma's.) Thumman's happens to be my favorite brand of hot dog, ( it's a Jersey, NY, Connecticut thing.) They have a nice snap when you bite into them. Grandma's chili has good flavor, not spicy it was the perfect accompaniment. They also offer Chicago Style Dogs and Texas Weiner style too along with burgers. Grandma's has fresh coffee brewing all day. You can get omelettes, french toast, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, cheesesteaks, burritos, wraps, cuban sandwiches, quesadillas etc. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast and lunch especially if you like really good hot dogs.

Charming spot nestled along the roadside, ideal for a delightful breakfast escape. I had the sunny side eggs with bacon and home fries. Service was on point I will be back !!

Awesome tiny little spot that my boyfriend and I stumbled upon after being in the area. I really would've liked to try everything, especially the taco dog, but the bf yells when I order too much cause then he has to finish it (annoying). So He got the 49er and I got a breakfast sandwich with steak eggs pork roll and cheese. Both of our options were so good, prepared perfectly, and really fairly priced. The spot itself is cute. It's small but feels homey, especially with the little games they put on the table. It's the type of place that you want to make your Sunday morning tradition and we just might

You know the food about to be great when it's served on a Dixie plate. Came for a quick brunch while in the area and was not disappointed. Overall, probably spent total $20 for two people and we got so much food. Looking forward to coming again.

Ok parking sufficient. The place could use a little updating but still a cool spot. The service... I'll explain. You walk up to the counter order your food and then it's brought to your table. Very fast very clean and plentiful. The people very nice.. the only one thing I can say bad about this place is I saw two flys but I pretty sure one came in from outside so really just one. Lastly inexpensive...the bill was cheap. I recommend this place.

Got the Italian hotdog. Not quite Jimmy Buffs level but very good. They are now open on Sunday's so it was a nice place to stop in for lunch. Limited seating with the counter and two other tables, but makes it quaint. Definitely going back to try more!

Just like you'd cook at home, that is if you serve huge portions and make delicious food. My husband and I recently grabbed a late Sunday afternoon lunch. Pork roll, egg and cheese for me on a Kaiser roll. He had the pulled pork sliders on 3 gorgeous little buns topped with coleslaw and a tangy sauce. Side of slaw and pickles for him. In nice weather it's great to sit outside at the very clean picnic tables surrounded by well-maintained plants. We were still sipping left over morning coffee from home so I can't speak to what drinks they have available. Staff were polite. Food was well cooked, artfully constructed and they brought our lunch out to us at a table. A local find here in Branchburg on 22E that deserves your business!

What's wrong with whole vegetables? Your customers are not babies. Dishes that I would probably order again if I return: * Bluefin tuna crudo with avocado purée * Coffee-rubbed Berkshire pork chop with sweet potato purée * Duck with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and cauliflower purée * Roasted carrots with sumac Dishes that were fine but not memorable (1 star off): * Brioche rolls with carrot butter: could not taste any carrot flavor in carrot butter; a good plain butter would have sufficed; it also came with a side of smoked salmon roe which I thought was pretentious and unnecessary * New England scallops with carrot and coriander purée, spring pea and mint pesto, and mushroom crumble: the mushroom crumble was good, but the scallops were over-salted * Pan-seared salmon, sunchoke, spring herb purée, salsify, corn, and pommes purée: TWO purées...yay... * Cavatelli with lamb ragu: ragu is basically a tomato purée * Roasted Brussels sprouts and butternut squash For dessert, our waiter recommended the butterscotch pretzel sundae, which has been on their menu for years. The blondie bites, salted caramel, hot fudge, and salted caramel ice cream did sound good. Too bad they forgot to bring it out for us (1 star off), so we never tried it.

So coming here carries a bit of nostalgia for us. This concept feels very different from the original. It's definitely a more modern, upscale take. Portions are smaller, prices are higher, and the menu feels more elevated with a mix of Cuban-inspired and American flavors rather than strictly traditional Cuban comfort food. That said, the food is genuinely very good. The Cuban sandwich was easily one of the best we've had in New Jersey. Unlike many places that mostly use ham with a thin layer of pork, this one had thick, flavorful pieces of pork that made it feel much more authentic. A few other favorites: - The tostones with guacamole were a great starter. - Their chocolate latte used to be one of our favorites (sadly it seems to have been replaced by a raspberry chocolate version, which wasn't for us). - The seasonal pumpkin iced latte was excellent. - The strawberry banana waffles were more than enough to share. - The scrambled eggs and thick-cut bacon were fresh and delicious. We spent about $140 for breakfast for a family of four, so it's definitely on the pricier side, but it felt fitting for a special occasion like Mother's Day. A heads-up: reservations are only accepted for parties of six or more, so smaller groups are first come, first served. On Mother's Day, we waited about an hour after arriving at 8:30 AM, but their digital waitlist system made it easy to track our place in line while running errands nearby. Do we miss the old Martino's? Absolutely. The larger portions and casual family feel were special to us. But this restaurant offers something different--more polished, more curated, and still very enjoyable. I'd recommend it for brunch dates, family celebrations, or when you want to treat yourself.

I wanted to try something from the lunch menu, after asking an employee, I was told that lunch starts at 11:30am. So I came back around that time to order. I've been seeing their Big Mack Smash on social media for some time now, and it looks delicious. So I decided to I order their single patty Big Mack Smash, with angus meat and American cheese, on a plant based white bun. I don't care for sesame seeds on buns, and there was no option for a regular burger bun (without sesame seeds), so I chose the non sesame seed vegan bun. I also ordered a side of fries with garlic aioli. The plant based white bun was a little dry and the burger patty was also dry and did not have much flavor. Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, an occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. I love that there are many vegan and vegetarian options here. Although I am neither, it's a great place for those who have dietary restrictions/preferences. Hopefully I find my new go to menu item soon, but in the meantime I will be ordering and trying many of the other new menu items. This is definitely the place to come if you don't want a typical vegan meal. You'd be like a kid in a candy store, with the amount of options that are here. They also have many non vegan options. Turf, Surf and Earth serves EVERYONE and that is their biggest positive!
