If you need a laundromat, THIS IS IT. I went to another location last year when my washer/dryer broke and it was a great experience. I moved to Rancho Penasquitos and I still drove all the way to Escondido to go to these laundromats!! They keep them CLEAN, organized and easy. They have different sized washers that can hold 1-9 loads!! I went at 9am on a Wednesday, not crowded and plenty of machines. There was an employee constantly cleaning, sweeping and organizing. She was very helpful getting a card to load, with how much soap to put in the different sized machines and with all the other questions I had. This is only my second time at Grande but I looked at other laundromats and this place is just so much cleaner, the choice was easy when it came to my clothes. I used a machine that held 6 loads of laundry and it was $8.88. Probably pricey (I don't know the going rate these days) but for me worth it. Dryer time was 3 CENTS a minute so washing is definitely their money maker. Tips: bring your own soap to save a little money and your hangers. They had plenty of laundry carts to hang clothes and table space to fold. Highly recommend!! read more

Why would you have a business open at 5am but no one that works there till 7:30am? I think this is completely wrong to do to customers. Issue #1: this morning I was trying to buy a card after my laundry was already in the machine with soap because I realized I forgot my other one at home. The machine that customers buy the cards at was not working. None of the 3 worked. I spent at least 5 minutes trying to figure out how to get the card. I was so frustrated when another customer let me use their card and I gave them the cash. Issue #2: why is the bathrooms locked until someone is there? If your business is open and you can take my money then you should have your bathroom available or at least have someone working. I have a medical condition where I can't hold it and if I am in the middle of laundry and there is no bathroom available what would you suggest I do? Issue #3: Bathroom is locked so no where to change a babies diaper? Since you can't have someone working when you open that also means that if you need to change your babies diaper you can't until someone gets there. Issue #4: MY BIGGEST ISSUE, is about the ADA laws being broken but first I need to speak to an attorney before I say more. I will most likely avoid using your business in the future unless there is a change in these policies. It makes me very saddened because you are right next to my house. read more

I was washing my blankets the machine stopped working there was no number to call had to wait for attendant to come back from lunch she called her supervisor which was no help to all she said was put it in another washer and clean the mess. They need better customer service. read more

CAUTION: Buyer Beware... You have to pay $3 for "their card". You put money on the card at the Change Machine; but it doesn't actually give you change, it only puts that money on your (their) card you just bought. What's that? You only want to put a few dollars on the card (for one small load)? Nope, sorry... $5 is the minimum. You don't have a $5 bill or larger? No problem, they have an ATM on-site (charge = $2.25 for a withdrawl). In short, I just spent $5.00 before I could even 'start' to pay for my laundry (one small load). Laundry... no one WANTS to do laundry, but Grande Laundry Place makes it as pleasant of an experience as possible. No messing with quarters (woohoo) bc you get a card loadable with $5 $10 or $20 bills. Machines (washers & dryers) are various sizes so that you can customize based on your loads' size. Machines also have GREAT instructions. Complimentary coffee is available while you wait, and pop music plays. Plenty of seating inside and outside for waiting. And $5.98 for one wash cycle of laundry pile sized as 4 loads is a DEAL!!! Dryers are same. Wash quality is just fine. read more

I used to enjoy doing laundry here but no more because now the crew has changed (which is fine) except that last week I went in and a "religious" program was on the tv set. I love this laundromat! When I have large items like mattress pads, comforters, bedspreads it is my go-to location. Clean, reasonable price. 3cent per minute dry on Wed, Thurs, Fri.....I can wash all of my bedding in a couple of nice, sparkling clean stainless steel large front loading machines with less water and less detergent and be done in 22 minutes! What is not to love?! The staff are so nice and helpful. They were even giving customers frozen otter pops on this warm day...so great! Thank you! read more

Accidentally left my card in a dryer for a minute and it was drained of all money, $15. There is no fail safe or stop button to prevent this from happening, when telling the worker I was told rudely over and over it was my fault and there was nothing she could do.. A flaw in the system that pays the machine is not the customers fault. Now the dryer has 99 minutes and it capped out.. Lost my business. read more

I recently visited the Grande laundry over by the valley max Friday morning and i am a relatively shy person I had trouble with one of the dryers and i looked troubled but didn't want to be a bother so I didn't ask for help but the worker there her name was Jaqueline saw that I was having trouble and helped me with my issue she even gave me some extra time on a different machine and she also gave me some tips on how to use some of the other items I brought. I recommend visiting the Grande laundry by the valley max it was a wonderful experience and I will be going there a again I even tried to give her a 5 dollar tip to thank her for the help but she said it was just her doing her job and it was some great customer service. read more

Going downhill real fast...this place has gone to poop ever since your star worker left and you guys definitely downgraded with the horrible customer service. Very rude and unprofessional to ask me for a cart when I'm using it for my clothes. I spend over 60 dollars every time I come and that's on the cheaper days. No coins allowed at this laundromat, they have a card you purchase initially ($3) and load with cash. If you don't have change, there's a cash dispenser that spits out 5 dollar bills! There is one attendant on site and she was very very helpful!!! She also mentioned there were a few other locations that were not card/cash based but coin based with the same exact washers and dryers. I love that this laundromat chain does not look too rundown compared to others and is more modern. They have all sized washers and it's not extremely busy. While waiting for our washer at home to be fixed, we came here to wash a batch of clothes. I ended up using the 4 load wash for our dark clothes and 2 load wash for the light. That totaled to $7.89 + $3 card fee if you don't have one. Grande laundry seems to have the market on laundromats in town. While waiting for my new washing machine to be delivered, I had to trek it to the laundromat for the first time in years. Keep that roll of quarters in your pants leg, this laundromat uses a card system to pay for and reload your card balance. The prices were as follows: Eight load $8.38 Six load $6.26 Four load $4.98 Triple load $3.98 Double load $2.88 8 load dryer $.60 for 9 min 5 load dryer $.45 for 9 min Thursday special $.01 per min Cards are $5, but come with a $2 credit when you buy them. Bill changer, ATM, vending machines, and laundry supplies for sale. My only complaint is that the prices aren't rounded, so it leaves you with an odd amount left on the card that you can never spend, $.47 for example. read more

The staff here is amazing. Always willing to help, always keeping the whole building clean. I've had excellent experience when it comes to customer service! Also once have I ever had an issue with one of the machines, but they were right there to help resolve and issue a refund on. But they were amazing! First time going here and was pleasantly surprised! Super clean and there are an abundance of machines to fit everyone's needs. The attendant, Irene, was extremely helpful especially with assisting my daughter & I with accessing their card system and using the machines. The facility was spotless! I don't know if it is because it is during these pandemic times or if it is normal, but she kept cleaning the machines, moping the floors and more cleaning! To say that we were impressed is an understatement! My washer at home is no longer working and leaving the house to do laundry on New Years day was not so bad because of the great experience we had at Grande. Very clean, but several cons, in my opinion: 1) Card system, rather than coins. It's confusing, more difficult, and more costly, since you only get $2 credit after purchasing for $5. And if you leave your card at home, you're gonna be buying a new one! 2) Help is hard to find. I ran into difficulties with my card using the dryer, and had to look around for someone to help me. There was only one young woman, who was cleaning. 3) Pay bathrooms. You have to insert your card and pay to use the bathroom. Over 4 decades in to this lifetime and before this week I had never set foot in to a laundromat. This place is clean and appears well-cared for. Attendant didn't report for duty until 0730, however, she was a very nice and genuinely happy gal and helped me navigate the crazy process and simplify my visit. This place can be confusing for a rookie like me. $5 bills- remember this! Bring only $5 bills. To begin with, purchase 1 card from the card machine. Then take that 1 card and load it with the remainder of your $5 bills. Wash machines are about $4 per wash. The dryers can handle up to 5 loads of laundry at once so that's helpful. I ended up doing 7 loads of laundry for just under $40. I probably won't be back, as I have other laundry resources for the interim and this visit was a little pricey in my opinion... but certainly a nice option to have and is a well-kept facility. read more

Alright so for any of you first timers don't bother bringing quarters . This place has a cash dispensing machine (ie insert $20 get four $5 back) then a machine where you enter $5 and it spits out a $3 laundry wash card with $2 loaded on it for wash . After that insert at your discretion for how many loads you will wash . Oddly enough the washes are very pricey , but the expensive price makes up for it to cheap drying . Plus on Thursdays they offer 3 cents per minute drying . Not bad right ? Place is spacious , and doesn't feel over crowded . At least for me that is . On a Saturday evening around 6pm-8pm . Machines all look very new like and guess what they close fairly late at 10pm . Only downside is last washes are at 9pm and you got until 10pm on the dot to get out . I got hounded , but it's a great place if you're looking for a new laundry wash ! read more

This laundromat just reopened because when first tried to wash clothes here 4 or 5 months ago it was closed. I got here around 10:30 AM on Christmas Eve 2017. The washers are configured a little funny, you have to insert the card upside down, and I could only find one trash can but everything was going pretty smooth. At 11:45 AM one of the attendants says to me "You have 15 minutes because I have to mop." I was confused and asked "Are you closing in 15 minutes?" She says "I just don't want to mop with people in here." At the same time she is telling me and others not to put anymore time on our dryers. Huh? Finally a gentleman walks in and the attendant says "We are closing at 12." No sign was posted nor was this explained to me when I asked for help. I specifically said to both attendants "this is my first time here." Now me and another handful of people were rushed out and have to find another laundromat to finish drying our clothes. I love this place its clean, large machines and if you come in the mornings its not to busy I have only had one problem in all the years I have been coming here and its been in the last month I had to get 2 new cards because after I used it once(I got a new one my other was old) it wouldn't work anymore not sure whats going o with their cards but that's my only issue other than that it's a great place to come to.
