This has been my alterations place for last three years or so. Usually simple things like raising the hems of my jeans. The owners are nice and they always do a great job. I have been satisfied with the quality of their work. $18 for a pair of jeans hems up. It may sound pricey, but I get my jeans on sale and spend some extra for having them fit me for my go-to favorite jeans. They close at 5:00 on weekdays, so it's a bit tough to pick up after work, but they are open on Saturdays till 2:00, so that's when I go pick up. read more

I came in last Tuesday and this was my first time at a cleaners ever - I needed my comforter dry cleaned and my wedding dress clean/pressed & packaged. The owners daughter helped me out and she was so kind and helpful and guided me through the whole process. She really took the time to explain everything and eased my anxiety. She listened to my concerns and what I wanted done and provided me with a quote before they began service. I went in today to pick up my comforter and WOW! It feels cleaner and softer than when we first bought it. I can't wait to see how my wedding dress will look. I brought my wedding dress to be cleaned and preserved in a box and they did an amazing job here. They cleaned it and had me come in to make sure I was satisfied with the job. They did great work. Once I saw it they boxed it all up in a couple of days. The box is beautiful. It can be opened to view the dress through a window and seals back up. They then put that pretty box in another shipping like box and sealed it all in plastic. Amazing work. My dress definitely feels preserved and I can open it up to view it anytime I want. I got my bridesmaid dress tailored here! The seamstress did an amazing job with cutting and hemming the length. I loved how she asked if it was an inside or outside wedding as she tailored it to be shorter in the front and longer in the back so it would look nice in both settings! They even provided me a complimentary press which I appreciated! The only small problem I had was that I had to ask and look for the bag/cover my dress originally came in during pick up but it was no big deal as I was able to find it. read more

I called before I drove down and they quoted me one price on the phone then when I got there, they quoted me a higher price but I said OK anyway then I drove home when I got home they texted me an even higher price. needless to say, I drove all the way back, picked up my clothes and went to another cleaner. Firstly, front desk lady was not very friendly. She acted like me being there was an inconvenience to her. She was also a bit difficult to understand. Secondly, while I did show up 30 min early, they told me to come back in an hour as it was still being worked on. I had dropped off my jacket days in advance... Lastly, but most importantly, the quality of the work was extremely disappointing. The new button hole was not well done - maybe they rushed it, or maybe it's more difficult than I understand it to be. What's inexcusable is that the new button was filthy... I also expected them to change the old ones out to match the new one, which I thought was discussed with the front desk lady, but apparently not. I was going to give them 1 star, but my wife was happy with the work they did sewing up the seam split in her pants. If San Marcos isn't too far for you, I'd recommend Pleats for alteration services instead. Also, I had communicated with this business via yelp beforehand but when I showed up they didn't have a clue what I was there for. read more

I'm furious about the horrible service I experienced and the appalling prices they charge!!! I dropped off a casual summer dress for a very simple hem and shorten of the straps. This is a simplistic job that shouldn't have cost more than $25, and yet they charged $60!!! More importantly, was that when I dropped it off, I specifically asked the guy how much and he told me $35 hem and $15 straps. I told him that was too much and he said someone would call me the following day with a quote BEFORE DOING THE WORK!!! I told him to make sure they called because I was going to pick it up and do it myself if it was more than $35. I'm out of a job, so I can't afford to be spending a lot. No one called the next day, so I called them and left a message saying to call me before doing the work. STILL, no one called me back. When I picked it up the following day, after they did the work... they were trying to charge $60! She did offer 10% off for the mixup, but that doesn't really help me much, since I have no choice now but to pay the $54, which is way more than I wanted to spend. This is such bad business practices. I'm so upset because they put me in a bad position. Plus, look at the straps and you tell me if that shitty little seam is worth $25?! BS. They are out of integrity. If a customer asks you to call BEFORE doing the work, so they know if they can afford it, you better call. You're putting my finances at risk. I can't remember the last time I had to go to a dry cleaner or a tailor so I just went to the place closest to my house and hoped for the best. I ended up getting a swimsuit altered for very reasonable price. I wasn't even sure if she could fix it because of the way that swimsuit was designed, but she fixed it to the point where you would never know anything it happened to it! I was delightfully surprised by how warm the service was, the skillful work, and that she even talked me out of an alteration that I think in the end would've been a mistake. She could have easily just done the alteration and made the money and not worried about my experience but she did and that's really cool. I'll definitely be back! read more

Oh where do I even begin! From efficiency to customer care to having my items PERFECTLY altered/ cleaned, Premier Cleaners & Alterations is THAT PLACE. I was referred to this place from a friend when I had TWO DIFFERENT DILEMMAS. As you can see, I'm not from the west coast and had to get my items altered in a short (BUT REASONABLE ) amount of time! They were so understanding and they did not let me down at all, they SAVED ME. I had to get ready for a sorority formal during a conference and my dress had to be altered and what did they do, THAT. They altered my dress and I was so happy with the result. On top of that, they were just the ABSOLUTE SWEETEST! So of course when it came to my first Coachella I decided to shop my outfits last minute and needed to get them altered within that same week. Of course I went back to this place because its one I trust and they are so precise with their detailing and alterations. I brought my wedding dress in to be cleaned and this is how it came out. I had to bring it to another dry cleaner to get the yellow stain out of my dress. The Premier Cleaners manager said that the discoloring was due to dust and oil stains that spreaded into my dress while being cleaned. They repeatedly told me the same excuse and I asked if other brides have the same problem. They said no but why is my wedding dress like this? After some back and forth, Premier cleaners did refund my money but the damage is already done. The yellow stain hasn't came out. Additionally they tore a slit in my dress. Stay away from them if you have expensive clothing that you want to keep intact. read more

I spilled red wine on my favorite white dress that I thought was completely ruined. Thankfully premier cleaners was able to take the wine stain off and brought the dress back to like new condition. I had such a great experience with this cleaners that I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family. I also brought in a few pants for hemming, since I'm very short and almost all my clothes need to be tailored for a perfect fit. I was amazed by how quick and affordable their alteration service was, about $7 per pair of paints for hemming. The skill for alteration is insane. brought a pea coat here to have the sleeves adjusted and it was one of the best decisions i ever made. When i got the coat back it didnt look like it was altered, i thought she was just giving me the coat back but after trying it on, you can see the degree of skill she has because it fit amazing. the sleeves were not only adjusted but it was done beautifully to the point that it didnt look like anyone touched it. *Note* this review is based on the business practice and not on the actual service (therefore giving 2 stars instead of 1). Called in advance to ask if they can hem 3 casual cotton dresses since they were a little long. She told me she couldn't quote me over the phone because she has to see the dresses but will likely be able to do it and have it ready the next morning- great! I stop by the store and put on each dress to mark the length I would like it. After it's all said and done, I ask her about the price. She tells me that to hem each dress 1 inch will be $30... PER DRESS! Keep in mind that this is not a formal dress but casual cotton dresses. I looked at her amazed and asked how is it that expensive? She explains that it's because I need it next day so there's a premium fee. I politely told her thank you and would think about it. I sat in my car, found a different place with great yelp reviews and asked for price. She quoted me 1/2 the price OVER THE PHONE before I stopped by. Is she entitled to charge what she wants as it is her store, her business? Absolutely. Supply and demand. I get it. Should I have asked her how much it would cost per dress before putting them. Yes, lesson learned. Personally, I wanted to share this story because she could have had business from me for YEARS to come as I moved into the area not too long ago and was trying to find a laundry, alterations place I trusted. It is very possible that she is a great seamstress but I love giving my business to genuine people who run an honest business and not try to take advantage. Luckily, I didn't need to have it by tomorrow morning but I was fortunate to find another spot that charged a reasonable price, ready by tomorrow morning without a "premium fee" and will have my business for all of my dry cleaning/alteration needs. Update: it would make sense to charge a little more for an extra request like closing up a slit on one of the dresses but charging $30 for each dress for next day 10am pick up (not same day) does not seem reasonable. Lastly, when explaining why $30 charge per dress, closing the slit was never mentioned, just the next day morning pick up that increased the price. read more

I ordered a jersey to wear for a big performance but mistakenly ordered the wrong size. The jersey arrived and it looked like a giant dress on me. I began to panic as my performance was less than a week away, thus began my search for an alterations shop close by. I messaged a number of stores in the area and Premier Cleaners and Alterations was the first to respond. Communication between myself and the owner was quick and efficient! They did an awesome job at altering my Marine Corps ball gown. It's a little pricey, but they did an extensive job - added cups, took in both sides, dry cleaned and lengthened the gown that had lining for $120. It was higher than expected but trust me, for the quality of work you're saving money not sending it somewhere else for correction. Lynne (the seamstress) is amazing! She fixed my lace dress that another seamstress almost ruined! I needed my lace dress altered, so I went to the closest store from my house to get the alteration done. I needed the dress shortened, but I wanted it cut around the waist area because there was detailing at the bottom of the dress that I didn't want cut off. By some miracle, when I came in to pick up my dress, the seamstress wanted to show me the area she was going to cut before really cutting it off. It's like she knew how bad of a job it was and wanted my "reassurance" that it was good enough. Well, it wasn't and I took my dress back before it was too late. Discouraged at this point, I questioned if I should even alter it anymore. I didn't want to ruin the dress and waste anymore money. However, I decided to try one more time and found Premier Cleaners & Alterations! Best decision ever! I told Lynne about my horrible experience and she reassured me that it would be done correctly this time. She was so patient with me. She made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. I left the store feeling confident it would be done correctly and it was! I tried it on the day I picked it up and it was perfect! I now go to Lynne for all of my alterations. She recently did alterations on my trousers that I want to wear for COACHELLA next month, and she did an amazing job again! She cut and slimmed them down to fit me in all the right places! I found this dry cleaners through Google while visiting my family in Escondido. At first I was hesitant to try a new cleaners, because I am not from town, but I needed my dress shortened for a dinner and Premier cleaners did a great job, it was only $20 to hem my dress and it was a rush order too (if you drop it off early in the morning). They were kind enough to press my dress after the alterations, so I would be ready to wear as I pick it up. I bring in my pants in for hemming and tapering and they do an excellent job. I recommend them to all my friends and family! This dry cleaners was decent. The prices were more expensive than listed online. They remove the tags before you get your clothes which was nice but it took FOUR days to dry clean my 3 items, they don't mark stains so my pants still had stains on them. But the lady who runs the front counter is very nice. And she did give me the new customer 10% discount, but only after I showed her the offer on her website, and she had me help her find my order. Not the best experience, not the worst. The pressing was good, and the clothes didn't smell and my blouses came out nice. read more

I had four dress shirts that fit wrong, too big. Whenever I put them on I would get huge lumps on my back. I wore them several times like this because a Men's Warehouse worker measured me and I did not know any better. Anyway, when I finally realized how bad I looked, I decided to go here because of the reviews. RESULT: Two shirts came out to fit near perfectly but the other two (more expensive ones) came out too small in the arm hole. I do not know how this happened but it is weird. The arm hole did not fit like that before. Overall, I am happy with how they came out, two of them just fit a little awkwardly. If I come back, I will probably bring in one of the good shirts to base the other ones on. read more
