You may be wondering how I ended up in a laundromat during a weekend getaway to San Diego. I was with a small group of friends to celebrate a birthday and traveled in two cars. On the route home, the first group experienced car trouble and had to exit the freeway unexpectedly in an unfamiliar area. We waited with them for more than two hours for the tow truck to arrive. After the first hour, we drove ahead looking for a bathroom, we tried three places from a 7-11 "convenience" store to a mini-mart, and they didn't have one. We spotted this laundromat and decided it was worth a try. The entrance had a "laundry store" to the right if you want to purchase detergent, etc. On my left was a row of washing machines and clothes dryers. It was a busy time for them as many customers were using the machines. Straight ahead was the coveted bathroom, however, a key card was needed and it was reserved for customers only. We approached the young girl (I regret not getting her name), at the laundry store and explained our situation. She was so kind and friendly and unlocked the door for us (phew, what a relief). Often times you encounter a public bathroom and they can be very messy and lack supplies. However, that was not the case at this neighborhood facility! We found it in sanitary condition and readily available for their customers. Ok, so I haven't been to a laundromat in 30 years but this place was clean, the attendant was super helpful and we were able to get the rugs clean. It's Way more expensive than I expected (9 loads machine $8) but I'm sure they're competitive w prices, I just haven't been in soo long I didn't know what to expect. Honestly, so disappointed in the staff from today. Clarissa or Larissa from the morning was very rude and if I'm being completely honest the laundry was not clean at all and was just standing around. I was trying to turn in my cards just to get my deposit back (2 cards) and was told I couldn't because they didn't have any money. Well, when the afternoon lady arrived I asked her if I could turn them in and she said that her coworker had told her that we had turned in so many cards already and that she's not allowed to do that. I had told her that it wasn't me who turned them in and she said yes it was and had to repeat myself and say that it wasn't me. Honestly was so rude. And I don't plan on coming back to this location. read more

I don't typically come to the laundry mat unless I have large items that need a wash. Today was one of those days. I walked into the Grade Laundry Place and I was greeted by Jackie. She showed me how to purchase the card system they used, how much I needed to put on it, and which washer and dryers to use. Did I mention that this place is so clean! I never saw Jackie sit down! She was constantly moving and cleaning both inside and outside. She was cleaning the walls and sweeping the parking lot at one point in time too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs to use a laundry mat. It smells amazing and Jackie is a great attribute at this location. read more

Not a bad place to do laundry when the place is empty. It's an average laundry place. Pros- -machines are new and work great. -not to pricey to wash in the big machines. -Place is very clean. -they got vending machines if you get hungry. Cons- -Place is small and it can get very crowded. -No air conditioning which can suck during a hot day. -avoid washing on a Sunday, it gets crazy crowded! -parking is very limited, so finding a parking space can suck sometimes. -washing machines are very limited, so you might get that one person that decideds to use every machine in the place. -there is always unsupervised kids running around getting in people's way and of course the parents don't say or do anything to control their children. read more

Very clean location with on-site attendant. Kind of difficult at first but Jessica explain abs walk me thru it. I had to use the change machine to convert $20 bill to five dollar bills. Then use the five dollar bills to get a card and add money to it. When I was done they gave me my deposit of two dollars back. Thank you Jessica for walking me through this process. read more

It's a tiny place, poorly ventilated. Doing laundry in Escondido in the middle of August is horrible and worse yet when there is no ventilation. It must have been 100 degrees. Never going back. They do have two large dryers that can handle comforters, blankets, multiple sheets and large loads of clothes and towels. The place was reasonable clean and the machines looked ok and perfomed ok. Laundromats have no control over who uses their facilities, but I have to give prospective patrons a heads-up. The place was crawling with loud, obnoxious brats and their parents who could give a rats ass. These people would stand in the middle of the aisles and not move. I would have to excuse myself to get me and my laundry by. They stood around, like cows chewing their cud, while their brats ran around, screaming at the top of their lungs, running into stuff (and me) while the parents stood around watching. read more

I love Grande Laundry Place but this location is smaller and cramped compared to other Grande locations. On one isle the space between the folding tables and dryers is only about two feet making it impossible to get by with people unloading their dryer or using the folding tables. The entire layout of the place is cramped. This makes it annoying when it's crowded which it always seems to be. Otherwise , Grande Laundry is the best. read more

During Covid- month of July 2020. This place was Immaculate. The woman cleaning it constantly was very nice. She was moving the entire time we were in and out of there, and she helped me with the card machine and was there to answer any questions. I love the card instead of coins thing, so convenient. Everyone inside wore a mask and people waited in cars for laundry to be done. I noticed people would leave cans or food outside on the benches and she cleaned it all up quickly. I totally broke a few rules (it's been years since I was at a laundromat) and the woman kindly spoke to me and redirected or helped me. No kids on the counters or in laundry baskets. I can respect that. You can be sure you're getting a clean counter top and basket to put your clean clothes on/in. I made the mistake of reading the rules on the wall after I broke a few. Whoopsies. Solid spot. It's nice when it's not packed since it is a smaller location my one complaint is that I often put my clothes in washers or dryers that are out of service or broken. They place a small green sticker over where the pay card is taken. Rather then that perhaps a sign on the washer or dryer that's not in service. The last thing I do is pay the first thing I do is load. Such a small change could save people in a hurry a little time. Or put the sticker on the front of the machine... that's all read more

Ehh. It gets the job done. Rather small selection of washer machines and dryers. 2 super huge dryers that dry a huge load in 10-15 min. That beats 30 min on the small dryers. Definitely not a super safe area. Witnessed police chasing someone. Needless to say I do laundry here, but never bring my child. It gets the job done. Expect to wait for for a washer or dryer on the weekend, m-fri you got the place to your self, pretty much. read more

My husband and I went to this laundromat around 10AM this morning (Sunday) to dry clothes because our dryer wasn't working. The place was immaculate! The attendant spoke English and Spanish and cleaned the place the whole time we were there. She even wiped down the outside of the trashcans. The other customers were polite and courteous. One of the customers held the door open for us when we were carrying our laundry in. Everyone was busy doing their laundry or watching TV. One of the TV's was tuned to a Sports station in Spanish. The other TV was showing the movie Mamma Mia in English. The regular dryers are very large and hold five loads of clothes. Our clothes dried in 30 minutes on high. 25 cents for 5 minutes. There was a sign that said Thursdays is 1 cent per minute. Today was a cold and rainy day and there was no problem with ventilation. The windows were open and the big fans I saw were not turned on. Don't know what it is like in the summer. It is open from 5:30 AM to !0 PM. I think this place is great! read more

I was treated by far the rudest I have ever been treated anywhere in the Carwash that belongs to this company. I had just pulled in and the janitor came up and knocked on my door. I opened the door and said can I help you? He said you have someone waiting. I said yes and I just got here. He glared at me and had nothing else to say. Had you been paying attention to what was going on, you would have seen the other stall that was not broke. Was empty. I don't appreciate being told that someone is waiting when you can obviously see that my car was not even remotely clean. I have been going here for several years but it's time to change places. read more
