I met the owner, Cassandra, and she was a delight to talk to. I got the sampler pizza (2 slices each of Jerk chicken, Cajun shrimp, oxtail, and griot). Plus we got some wings and a dessert pizza. The pizza was amazing. My friend said the oxtail was delicious. I thought all four flavors were perfectly seasoned. My friend said the wings were good. So far just the lemonade and the Candyloupe was the best. Service when placing order was very helpful and nice. Really relaxed environment with good music, bathroom was clean which is good. The Oxtail pizza was amazing. The meat was tender and tasty, and the sauce, and cheese on the pizza both were delicious. Crust was not too thick or too thin. We also ordered 10 qarlic parmesan and 10 barbecue wings. They were huge, fresh and delicious. It just took a long time to get our wing orders. They must have been short staffed. However, the wings were worth waiting for, and one order of 10 wings would have been enough to share between three persons. We tried a Jamaican Style Fruit Punch that was too sweet to my taste. This restaurant was small but cousy. I loved those red chairs in the dining room, but I dont think that five huge TVs were necessary. I really enjoyed the background music. One of the walls was like a garage door opening to the covered patio and that outdoor space will come in handy for the upcoming events. Place looks like it could be a fun night out lots of arcade games and a little dj booth. I ordered a griot personal pizza, the owner took my order, cooked my food, it came with pickliz which is like a vinegar spicy Haitian coleslaw. I don't normally eat crust but having some of that spicy vinegar to dip it in was awesome. Definitely going to come back to try the oxtail and jerk pizza after how amazing the griot was. TikTok made me do it! I saw a review and learned that the owners support the Black Women Of Cobb County group. They're also sponsors of North Cobb High School. It was a no brainer to try the personal oxtail pizza and lemonade they're known for. No crumbs were left! My son had a personal cheese pizza and commented that the crust is so good. He usually leaves the crust but not this pizza. It was delectable! There's something about the dough that's amazing. All the flavors were delicious and I couldn't put pizza down. It's a simple, welcoming interior for a takeout location where the service was nice and they explained the menu. They don't do slices but personal or large pizzas. Works for me! I am originally from Brooklyn, NYC, and was blessed to live in a city that is WORLD renowned for their pizza. HOWEVER, I have NEVER had pizza like what Grand Slam Pizza offers! From the chewy crust that is seasoned (I never KNEW they could season crust - this was the most enjoyable experience I've EVER had eating crust!) to the TOPPINGS (again, who would ever think to have oxtail and jerk chicken on a pizza? And the mind blowing thing is that it tastes like you went to the best Jamaican restaurant to get it, not a pizzeria - well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and with a nice bit of spice). I've been seeing the oxtail pizza TikTok's and we finally made it out to give this place a try. We drove over an hour and the owner asked if we've been before and we said we heard about it from TikTok. This place had awesome customer service. We ordered the personal oxtail pizza. It was four slices enough for my husband and I to share. We had to get some wings as well. We did the 10 jerk chicken and they let us know that there were two versions of jerk and we decided to do the less spicy bbq version. Then we had to get something to drink. We were offered samples of the cantaloupe and lemonade to try. I got the cantaloupe it was so good and my husband got the lemonade. I wish the location had more room, but it was okay for a quick pick up order. We took the food to the car and ate it there. That oxtail pizza, man that was so good. And the wings were big back wings not skimpy like you'll get at other places. Next time we come here I think we'll get a large half griot half oxtail. Walked In To order expecting the run of the mill college town pizza place, boy was I surprised. I was greeted on the way in by one of the coolest guys I've run into and he runs the place, like legit in touch with the public, warm welcoming owner. The food is amazing and seems to be the work of his quite talented wife. the jerk chicken is the best I've had including trips to the Caribbean. The pizza was good though and the crust was crispy and buttery. We also got the wings and I liked that the cook informed us what flavors were spicy. The bbq jerk wings were not as hot temperature wise as I wanted but the flavors were there. You got the smokiness of the bbq paired with the aftertaste of the heat from the jerked worked well.
