I have been getting professional manicures and pedicures since I was 20 years old, and I have NEVER experienced anything this painful or upsetting. On September 24, 2026, I had a pedicure performed by Ruby. During my pedicure, I felt that she was excessively cutting and removing skin around my toenails. Following this appointment, I developed an infection around my toes that required antibiotics and THREE visits to my doctor. The pain and discomfort were so severe that I could not wear closed-toe shoes for three weeks! As of October 10, my toe is STILL healing. I have previously received services from Anna and Gracie at this salon as well, but after this experience, I have absolutely no intention of returning. I have always taken excellent care of my hands and feet and have maintained regular professional nail services for decades. Never in all those years have I experienced an infection following a pedicure. What concerns me most is the excessive removal of skin around my toenails. Nail technicians should exercise extreme care when working around delicate skin. A pedicure should NEVER result in weeks of pain, medical appointments, antibiotics, and an extended recovery. Proper sanitation, professional technique, and customer safety should NEVER be compromised. I am sharing my experience because I would not want another customer to go through what I have endured.
