These guys are fast and know what they are doing. Ever since we moved into our home a few years ago, we have had recurrent problems every winter with our gutters getting clogged with falling leaves and then overflowing during heavy rainfall. So this year we decided to put a gutter guard on the gutters most prone to this problem BEFORE the rainy season. My better half called a few places and settled on Grand Gutters, based in Fremont. One of their selling points was they install commercial grade guards, which last much longer, for not much more than it costs to get a prefabricated one from Home Depot installed. The two-man work crew showed up in the late afternoon (we expected them at 8 am, but there was a scheduling snafu, which the owner was very apologetic about when my wife called). We showed them the two problematic gutters we wanted covered, as well as the ones we wanted cleaned but not covered. They got to work, and were done in less than an hour (we had expected they'd need at least two). They are FAST! Total bill came to a little under $500. Bonus: They showed my wife and I, the geeks that we are, the aluminum rolls and equipment they use to make their own gutters. As I said, these guys know what they are doing! read more

The conversation I had with Jose was under one of my house cameras so I reviewed the whole conversation. When I told Jose that the manufacturer said the window should be capped, he asked if I could provide the material because he thought it was something special for capping but I told him that the manufacturer said the vinyl could be purchased from Home Depot or Lowes. Jose said that he could look around for the material and understood that it was just white vinyl sheeting. He said that I would be contacted by Jason and that he understood what I needed. I gave the 2 star rating because the response I got after the site visit was "Hi There! Unfortunately, we don't offer window repair. Best of Luck!" When I asked for an explanation, that was when I was told "You asked for a certain material for the repair you would have to ask the window for that material.". The 2 stars was for poor communication and a general lack of attention to detail during our site visit. I'm increasing the rating from 2 to 3 stars because you reached out to me. read more

I found this company on Yelp and wanted to work with them because it says women owned. Lisa answered my calls and was helpful and responsive. However, that's where the good feelings end. I first got a quote for gutter cleaning ($195) on Wednesday and was told that scheduling would happen by Friday or Monday. I followed up on Monday and was told to wait until Tuesday. Fine. In the meantime I inquired about installing gutter guards, sent pictures of the house exterior to the estimator as requested, and received a quote of $1550 for black gutter guards (price varies from house to house depending on length needed). Finally on Tuesday I receive official quotes and the black gutter guard is $2000. Nobody ever came out to see the house, so the price difference was not from any new information. I emailed them back asking about this discrepancy, and ultimately they didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my email. To be fair, I may have received one miss call from their number, which I was unable to answer. However, I had told Lisa that I would be unavailable and had given my husband's number to finish scheduling. He never received any call from them. All's well that ends well though. On Monday we requested a quote from another company, after seeing how Grand was dragging their feet. They came out on Thursday to actually see the house and quoted $1980 for stainless steel, down from $3000. ZERO STARS! STAY AWAY FROM JAYSON AND THIS COMPANY! The professionalism of the company was so disrespectful. Our tenant rights were violated from the beginning when basically our home was broken into and our backyard cleared for a path. We had no notice that anybody was going to be at our house not only us but also the owner of the house Tommy. Its law to be notified of when a job will start! Not just show up when no one is home! Upon arriving home I saw the workers use our patio set for a spot to put their things, drinks, phones and keys. Our screen got ripped to the back door, patio set some of the cushions had new stains, not to mention I have a video of one of the workers, dragging our heater and ice cooler that was not cheap. I'm trying to wrap my mind around why and how this company thought that it was OK to enter somebody's property without their knowledge. I would have been totally OK with them coming with nobody home with proper notice. We could've prepared and moved our stuff accordingly so that nobody had to touch anything. They had pieces of the roof laying on top of our pool pump pipes. We had to go up to the top of the roof because they left scrap pieces of metal up there and we couldn't sleep all night so I threw down the trash metal because it was just rolling around the roof like crazy. I have a video of this as well. There were sharp objects laying around the backyard and hammers on top of our barbecue pit. The multiple nails that we picked up as well. There was pure carelessness especially around our above ground pool. There were hammers, a knife laying against it and directly on the plastic pieces that could have punctured it. Our home is occupied, and they left all of their tools, saw horse and everything in our backyard overnight. We have children here and it's very concerning considering how many nails and screws that we picked up in the front and the back. I was pretty upset that they moved my plants and the rosebush is now spray painted white. Bottom line if we would've had notice there would be no complaints because everything would've been put away and protected accordingly. I have a screenshot that somebody from the company text me regarding "thank you for picking up the three nails", ONE picture that I'm assuming was sent to them by property management and them saying the screen was already ripped. It's just unprofessional and rude. I'm not sure how to go about this whether I should talk contact legal aid for the tenant rights violation. Look at the photos posted because that's just SOME of the screws and nails that were found in plain sight! I have more pictures and videos but just so everyone can get a sample of how this company works! I know for a fact that the screen was not ripped because it is open every day and we definitely would not open it every day if there was a rip allowing flies or insects in. We've been having problems with our tubes now that they didn't bother to move and had their equipment and garbage roof material laying on top of. They were either walked on or crushed by material, not sure. The unprofessionalism, sarcastic text messages were extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. Also, I was assuming that the job was done and over Father's Day weekend we went out of town and it came to my knowledge that they were at my house again without my permission after the job was done. They also went into the backyard which really makes me mad. How do you think its okay to go to a home without permission and giving notice. I called 4 other places but Grand Gutters beat the prices and installed the guards too. They also built my neighbors pergola last year and it looks great. I asked for gutter cleaning and installation of pipe connecting the downspout to the rain gutter. I explicitly mentioned multiple times that I need "pipe connecting the downspout to the rain gutter", through email, messages and over the phone, also send them pictures they confirmed they will do that and gave me a quote but when they came to install they brought only the connector not the pipe when I asked them to put pipe as well the worker said they will come and do it tomorrow, I emailed the business the same, but the next day they said the quote didn't include the pipe and charging me extra. I had extremely bad experience with Grand Gutters. Company would not send estimator to the property, instead they request photos of the gutters/downspouts to be replaced. After they receive photos Jason, I assume he is a main estimator for Grand Gutters, specified price and time when work shall be completed. We got call from contractor earlier in the morning ( work was scheduled for afternoon) that he is at the property and need owner to show what gutters/downspouts need to be replaced. !!!??? After all, contractor told that he didn't get specific from his office, he can't replace gutters and he left... Estimator, when I contact him, text me that it's "unforeseen" situation and gutters replacement required additional work. Very bad service. When there's an inconvenience with their job quality they never answer, whenever I contact them by mail I receive a response that they are out of the office for 6 days. When they answer, they are ambiguous, they never give a clear answer. In terms of matters related money (Like a refund)they never respond or will be very evasive. read more
