Last month, David provided me a great estimate to get our gutters and downspouts replaced. However, we only had budget to get the downspouts done. So we just had his crew replace the downspouts. Initial visit and installation was good-to-ok however they damaged the eaves (broke off some wood), didn't install one gutter appropriately such that there was excess runoff from the roof, and left untouched-up areas on the siding where screws were put in to attach the downspouts. Once the rains began, the gutters retained some water that caused an interminably annoying, long-lasting dripping sound at the base of the metal downspouts. We called them back out to try to fix the issues (at least the inappropriate installation and dripping). The first issue was remedied however, with the dripping issue, they attempted to "line" the bottom of the downspouts but the problem remained--drip, drip, drip, drip. We called again and the owner Dave was brusque, very rude and basically sent us packing with an essential message of "there's nothing that can be done--live with it" attitude. read more

This was supposed to be a surprise birthday present for my husband but I had to leave so my husband (Ron) was told and met with David. David certainly came prepared I noticed when I came home later that day. We were referred to David and Global Gutter Systems by a roofing company that we had used before but was booked up. It was a great referral. David's recommendations on changes not only saved us cost but also resulted in new gutters that I feel are much better looking than what we had before, and that are much more functional. The work crew were professional, did a great job cleaning up debris, and went above and beyond what was needed to put our tiles back in place. The overall cost of the job was very reasonable, particularly given the time and work to remove the old gutters and remove worn and partially rotted wood trim that was used as accents under the old gutters - and David never tried to oversell us on changes and/or upgrades. It took a total of 2 days to complete the work because we have a two-story home and because there were some tight areas due to solar we had just installed. I have already referred David and Global Gutter Systems to my neighbors because I am so happy with their services and the end product provided us, and highly recommend them without any hesitation. Following are some additional details which I think are helpful to know about. Global Gutter Systems formed and made our gutters to length with a machine that they had brought with them, and which resulted in our gutters having no seams except on corners. David provided me with 2 style options for the gutters, one that was the same style we had and another that was larger but provided better coverage. We went with the larger option at David's recommendation, which allowed us to avoid material and labor costs of replacing worn and water damaged wood trim under our old gutters that had to be removed. David had about 20 pre-painted options to go with so we were able to match up the color of the new gutters really well with our wood trim and avoid having to paint the gutters after their install. Our original gutters were installed by the developer and were never properly sloped to allow for proper run-off - which caused water, leaves, and dirt to settle, among other problems. David's crew made sure that our new gutters were properly sloped - though it is not easy to notice visually - so that the water runs toward to downspouts. And because our downspouts were in good shape, we were able to keep them and avoid additional replacement costs. read more

Since the previous contractor was a friend of David's, he inspected, cleaned, and adjusted the gutter and gave advice for avoiding overflows. His work was well done and cleaned up afterwards.
