Posting this review on behalf of my mother, the vehicle owner. Do not leave your vehicle at this body shop. My mother's car was held for months and repeatedly reported as "ready" when it was not. The vehicle still had serious unresolved mechanical issues, including warning lights, vibration at driving speeds, and suspension/drivetrain problems. Despite these problems, she was pressured to pick up the vehicle. At one point, she personally transported it to a dealer for inspection while it was still under repair. This caused her severe stress and a medical emergency. The shop received over $42,000 for repairs, yet failed to complete the work properly. Instead of fixing the remaining problems, the shop attempted to charge storage fees and shift responsibility. Based on this experience, I strongly advise anyone to avoid this shop entirely. They do not complete repairs properly, pressure customers unnecessarily, and show a lack of accountability and professionalism. read more

Just wanted to take a little time to thank Lucus and the team at Grand Collision Center for taking care of our family van twice last year. Unfortunately, we got in an accident twice last year and brought our '23 Sienna to them and both times came back like the first day from the dealership. Lucus is prompt with his replies with my concerns and always sends updates with photos. Excellent work, customer service, and quick turn around (for my case). Brought in my Honda to have a front lip and side skirts painted and installed. Ruel wrote up a quote and I dropped off the car the following day. In the week that they had it, Ruel kept me updated every day with pictures of the car and even going as far as to FaceTime me in order to do a full walk-around. During that call, we both knew the color was a little bit off. They repainted the pieces to closer match without me having to argue over it, something that I've experienced in other body shops. My 2003 BMW Z4 was struck on the driver's side front quarter, taking out the panel, the bumper, headlight, and damaging the door. While most of the damage seemed cosmetic, there were alignment problems that presented later on. At first, given BMW replacement part prices, it looked like the insurance company could total the car. This was not acceptable to me, as not only did I love the car, but finding the combination of engine size, manual transmission, and low miles in another Z4 was difficult. In fact, I have yet to find another car with all these features in a 250-mile radius of my location. It seemed my car was a unicorn of sorts, so I especially wanted to hold onto it. Plus, anyone who has shopped for a used car lately has seen an uptick in prices. Ruel the owner, understood this. He worked diligently to source quality parts from vendors to keep the cost of repair under the insurance company's total loss threshold. I recently had a custom trunk made through ron and a few pieces sprayed red to match my car color (side skirts, tie bars, aftermarket grill, etc). This is by far the best place body shop I have been to! I banged up the front of my Acura TL so I took it here. The owners have excellent Customer Service! Kim takes care of you and updates you as things progress with your car. She even sent pictures of the progress! They gave me a ride home in the middle of commmute traffic when I didn't have anyone to meet me at their shop. They went above and beyond to make sure my car was back to normal, but they made it look even better than when I brought it to them by removing scratches and other minor things I had! There's not a lot of times in life you luck up and actually come across auto body shops that are sincere, and genuine in making sure you have quality work done, and make sure your experience is pleasant and well worth it. I don't actually look at it as luck, because I feel it was a blessing in disguise when I came here. The first time I came here was because someone scraped against my lexus on the drivers side really bad, and this is where my insurance referred me to. Ruel who is the manager here is one amazing guy. He's genuine, humble, down to earth, compassionate, understanding, and very intelligent. He's dedicated to what he does, and he's very skilled and passionate about auto repair and detail. Subsequently I never got any work done because shortly thereafter I was in a major auto collision, where I was referred back to him. I was injured really badly in the accident, and my car was a total loss not to mention it was towed by the city of Oakland. Ruel was there every step of the way. He remembered me from our first meeting and helped me with everything, from assisting me with getting it released from the city of Oakland to getting out of the tow yard and to the collision center. I have no idea what I would have done if he wasn't there. It's hard to come by people who actually care about helping you, who won't BS you, and just try to take your money. There are genuine people who still exist and Ruel & Grand Collision Auto is proof of that. I still can't thank him enough for how he helped me. & they do great work and he's gonna give you the best price, he's not an opportunist at all! Don't trust this place. I brought my dads Honda here which had a little damage on the bumper so they had to remove the trunk in order to fix it and they Couldn't put the trunk back together the way it was intended. So instead of fixing it they claimed it was like that originally they even claimed the car had been in an accident before but I checked the carfax the car hadn't been in any accident. So basically they wanted to save a little money by bullshitting their way through. I know many people are satisfied with their result but that's because they didn't have any problems like I did if my situation were to apply to anyone else's vehicle I'm sure they would play the same game and not fix the vehicle properly. read more

Ron and his crew are the real deal!! My brother purchased a painted spoiler to replace the cracked/faded one already on the car. The color wasn't the same..before he could complete the project, he passed away so the job of completing the spoiler went to me. Grand Collision Center was highly recommended so I went and spoke with Ron. Not only did he email and take pictures to keep me informed, he was able to match the color of the spoiler with car (yellow). Grand Collision center is a great shop! I got my car repaired here and all i can say is wow! Ron and Ruel are cool guys. Since Ron and Grand Collision took care of me I got them to paint my front bumper and repair and paint a front lip for my car. It turned out great! Since they took care of me I brought them a few customers and they were happy with the quality work Grand Collision put in. Not to mention these guys do a lot of custom body work, so if you have an idea in mind these guys will make a mold and make it happen! To be honest this is the first paint shop i've been happy with, and with seeing the work that comes out of the shop the Painting and body work done here is amazing! This place is absolutely the best body shop I have found since moving to the Bay Area! I only had some cosmetic damage on my front bumper of my BMW. I went to several body shops located all around Hayward and majority of them were giving me extremely high estimates but not this place. I would HIGHLY recommend for you to solely ask for "Ruel" for any and all of your body work estimates and services. He really took care of me and was very honest and reliable. All the parts used to fix my bumper were factory ordered from Weatherford BMW in Berkeley. Only the right side of my front bumper was scratched but Ruel went above and beyond and fully repaired and repainted my whole entire bumper which removed all other minor rock chips, dings, and scratches as well and did an incredible quality job on it.
