This place was walking distance to our hotel and the Caesar salad was amazing and the beers were so yummy. The service was excellent.

The Caesar salad was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. amazing and the beers were yummy. Service was excellent.

Hermes Big Burger !!

Great restaurant close to hotel and train, metro, bus stations. After visiting tourist-traps all day, we looked forward to coming back to the hotel and going to Hermes. Great burgers and beers. Wonderful patios too. Free Wifi. Great service.

Great beer!

The service was absolutely fantastic... friendly, energetic... as if he really enjoys his job. The prices are quite reasonable for Amsterdam. I was very disappointed in the burger though. Over processed beef patty doesn't do it for me. Plus, they use very thin British bacon, which is strange for a burger... even for the Brits. Streaky/American bacon is so much better on burgers. Way too much sauce for me too. The fries were little... like the end of the bag or something. The whole thing was just very disappointing. But the beer was great (IPA) & the service was terrific.

Hermes is the other decent alternative in the are to grab a drink or something to eat after work. The staff is very generous and you can feel they are used to mostly cater for either travelers or people from the neighboring offices' Their food menu is tasty and well prepared. I normally go for the ribs or the burgher. Their beer menu is composed by the usual Dutch giant Brewers and a couple of exceptions such as Texels. They have a great terrace or the sunny, so if you are in the area, all in all it's a very valid option!

Assorted meat dish.

Very good meal. I started with the soup of the day (tomato soup) with fresh bread and a herb seasoned butter, both were very good. As an entree I had the meat assortment platter. It consisted of pork, a small filet, and spare rib that fell off the bone in a tangy sauce. All tasted very good. I would certainly eat here again. Next time I think I would have just the ribs as those were the best.

The spicy chicken salad is to die for. Although its not spicy but nonetheless delicious.

This cafe is right in front of holiday inn express. The service is good and the location is good. The prices are ok. And i would recommend this place and its not expensive

I was familiar with croquettes but I have never had the Dutch variety. Needless to say, we were all very happy and full with what we chose. My wife had the beef with artichoke sauce and loved it. My picky 13 year old chose the Dutch shrimp with mustard- mayo sauce and he ate it all. He insisted that I mention that he does not like seafood. Please note that Yelp has the location wrong. I posted a correction and hopefully it is corrected soon.

We were staying at the Residence Inn around the corner and decided to eat here for lunch. There are…read morenot too many lunch options as the hotel is located miles from the city center so we weren't sure what to expect. I've never had a croquette so I was excited to have a Dutch treat--my husband not so much. We walked in and were seated immediately. It appeared that there was only one server so I wasn't sure we would ever get waited on but she was running all over the place and finally got to us. It didn't take too long so I was in awe of her energy. I ordered a veggie croquette and water. It arrived fairly quickly and was delicious. It was served with a delicious salad and bread. Our server checked on us quite a bit while running food back and forth to other tables and taking orders. Again, I was in awe of how she managed to do all that she was doing and keep a smile on her face. We discussed going here for dinner but they were closed so we ended up going to Pont 13 which was great as well.
