They worked together in complete harmony--professional, organized, efficient, and safe. Before hiring them, I also checked their credentials. One thing that really stood out: they were one of the few companies I considered that carried Workers' Compensation insurance. As a homeowner, that matters. A lot. The result? Amazing job. Mike at All About Trees has been our arborist for over 25 years. He and his crew are reliable,…read morehardworking, knowledgeable and very professional. Today we had 3 very large pine trees trimmed and our greatest concern is always the furry friends that call these trees home. Other tree companies may scoff, but Mike understands and his crew always look before they cut. We greatly appreciate this. We also wanted to save branches to use in landscape around our yard. We've seen this at various So Cal parks and arboretums and like the way it adds to the "woodsy" feeling to the flora. The guys not only were courteous about this, they also regularly checked to see if we wanted any of the saved branches trimmed. Some yes, but some long ones will get a special arrangement and the guys helped haul those to a separate staging area. Aside from the 3 very large pines, we had cypress, juniper and a "smaller", juvenile pine we needed trimmed and "tipped." The juniper has a draping privacy aspect to a side patio Hubs was thinking of clearing out, but after walking through and cutting as Hubs pointed, we had a nicely sculpted, shorter drape w/dead branches cleaned out and perfect clearance from the house. The additional pine needed to be clear of a property line, but we also are working towards a particular shape with that tree, since it's young. The crew understood everything, communication was great and Hubs is happy with the results. I contacted Dario based solely upon social media comments ... David responded immediately by phone and text. He then followed up with an onsite tree assessment and estimate. The estimate and its fairness provided a great sense of relief due to its affordability - a date for the trimming was immediately scheduled by David for the following week. As scheduled, Domingo and his team arrived promptly at 7:00am and began working at 8:00am in order to accommodate my request for the later start time ( for which I am extremely grateful ) . The precision and skillful approach to the tree project was absolutely Amazing! Domingo and his team have working together down to a science!! After many attempts that felt like years, my mom finally decided on hiring Rancho Landscape And Tree Care to remove the ever-growing and messy jacaranda tree https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=8G8sM2jeE0Tx3eePtsIF1g at the side of the house. I decided to respond to a random junk text message that offered arborist services by a person named Ruby. Although my background was in advertising, marketing, and promotions, I was never a fan of this form of canvassing to reach an audience. However, in this case it seemed harmless enough to give them a shot. We normally worked with two other vendors for our landscaping needs, but my mom didn't like their estimates, and we also received a few other estimates, but again, the rate was too high for my mom's liking. How did this landscape and tree care company break through the clutter to get our business!? PURCHASE Tree Removal, Clean Up & Haul Away (Varied; $900.00 in this particular case): A gentleman named Felix came out the day before to do a job assessment after I was blindly and unsolicitedly contacted by a woman named Ruby via text message simply canvassing for potential business. With no set rate card, this solely depended on the extent of the job (i.e. amount, working area, etc.). In comparison with a couple other bids, they were lower which was the ultimate decision to go with them. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=NF7IDU5WuWEF_0nHq8jUqg Credit Card Fee 3.00% ($27.00): These days, this was a normal expense and part of doing business - c'est la vie. SERVICE A crew of three-five men arrived a bit past the scheduled appointment time in several vehicles followed by the large disposal truck with a wood chipper. We briefly discussed what needed to be done, they reassessed the job, and before I knew it chainsaws were buzzing and cranking away at a tree that had grown too close to the neighbor's property line, was now beyond my family's roof line, and consistently made a mess with its constant droppings of branches, flowers, and leaves. Like the story of David and Goliath, David triumphed again as multiple branches and its trunk cascaded and crashed to the earth one swipe at a time. Less than an hour later, the jacaranda tree had completely been chopped down, everything carted away, the entire surrounding area was cleaned up, and all that was left was a huge stump that had multiple cuts and a poison poured into each slice https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=5VJgUVuNFrojeOKDv-VkRA to prevent the tree from growing back. Pretty damn efficient if you asked me - great job! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=dfKWM_vWQFovB2YDVVSByA PARKING (N/A): Since their business was all about coming to your location, you had to make sure there was a convenient and sufficient space for them to park their vehicles to easily transport any/all trimmings - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE I believed they had an actual office, but that was rather inconsequential since the real place of business was at the property where the work was being done - 'nuff said! ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Rancho Landscape And Tree Care won our business solely based on price, and mom couldn't have been happier with the results. All communication (initially via text and then in-person) was easy, and the work crew was efficient, nice, respectful, and did a wonderful job cleaning up. Plus, I always preferred to support small mom & pop businesses whenever possible. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $927.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
