I had a delightful lunch here yesterday in a group of 4. Cute old diner-type vibe. No waiting. Super friendly staff (thanks Erin!) and food was perfectly cooked and served hot and quick!! Loved it! Would definitely return and recommend.

This location of Gram's Kitchen is located in a stand alone structure in Orange City, Florida. This All-American diner-type restaurant has advertisements from numerous local businesses plastered all over the walls and table tops as it's main decor (I'm assuming said businesses pay a fee for them to have done so). Seating choices include booths and tables. We chose a booth but the hard wooden bench was super uncomfortable. Noise level is average with 1950's tunes playing in the background (which helped to mute the occasional curse words the wait staff were using as they crisscrossed to the different tables - I don't mind the profanity, but just a heads up in the event that you do or come with children). Our server was average but did apologize when I asked for a new glass of water due to the other one having an insect floating on top. Food was also average and was a little over priced. My husband ordered a BLT hoagie (it came without the onions he asked for) with a side of fries and I ordered a chef salad and one biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was huge but it tasted a little underdone and I couldn't finish it. We took a blueberry muffin "to go" and it was pretty average as well. As my husband said to me as we got in the car, "I think we don't need to come back."

Brought here by a friend brunch time on a Wednesday. Had no idea what to expect. There are tables and booths. Wanted the most comfortable for my ailing friend, they were kind enough to bring cushions for the otherwise hard wood booth. Menu has breakfast and lunch items. Nice variety. Friend had biscuits with sausage gravy and cheese grits. Huge portions! I opted for blackened fish (was probably tilapia) , mac and cheese and broccoli. Decent food, nothing exciting. Friend very much was happy with her breakfast items and took a bunch home.

This is the go-to spot for breakfast in my house. We love the prices and the speedy service. Everyone is so friendly and welcomes you as soon as you walk in. The prices are great and the food is better. I typically get the corned beef hash while my husband prefers the Larry - one egg, one pancake, and two strips of bacon. You can tell that this place is built with some local care.

Awesome place for breakfast. Lots of locals in the house. Our server was a one woman dynamo handling all the tables and doing a fantastic job. Our food was out fast and cooked to order. Prices seemed a bit high but we were happy across the board. Restaurant was very clean and well kept.

We're soooooo full LOL. Drove past a few times while running errands and the parking lot was always packed so hard to pull in. The sweet tea is perfectly sweet The Gramps is 10oz of beef cooked the way you like it with an onion ring, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, onion and Swiss cheese. It's huge, it was cooked just the way it was ordered and my partner couldn't of been happier even though they couldn't finish the whole thing The Dianne is 2 eggs cooked to order, 2 of their EXTRA LARGE homemade biscuits (dear gawd they were big) and gravy and your choice of home fries, hash browns or grits and you can add meat if you'd like for a couple bucks more. I only got through the eggs, bacon and half the browns and biscuit/gravy. It was delicious though I did need to add more pepper to the gravy, but I like mine heavy pepper. Our waitress was fun and I made her laugh pretty good. When I saw the size of my partner's burger I accidentally let out I hope you're f-bomb hungry and both the waitress and my partner died laughing ... Oops It was a great experience and we'll definitely return, just making sure to get smaller food. The price was DEFINITELY right for how much they give though. Thank you for a GREAT brunch

Let me say to bring your appetite! This is a lot of good down home cooking for cheap. My hubs and I both ordered omelets and they were huge! 3 extra large eggs are used in each omelet. The grits have the right consistency I always add more butter to mine. The hash browns were made perfectly, crisp but not burnt. Service was excellent as we noted when we walked in and were greeted by 5 different people and seated right away. This is a happening place for breakfast on a Saturday morning so it was noisy but not so much so you couldn't have a conversation. This place is also open for lunch and dinner and we would like to come back and try more from the menu. Definitely recommend.

Gram's has become our go-to spot for breakfast for quite a few reasons, not the least of which is the value. They do have some more expensive items on the menu, but for my wife and I we can have a full breakfast for less than $20, which is just unheard of post-pandemic. The whole restaurant is covered in ads, the walls, the menu, and even the table, which is a bit jarring, but not unusual for a place like this. I will say that the ads on the wall aren't just plastered posters thrown up willy-nilly. They all look hand painted by a single artist in a single style, which makes them feel more like decoration and less like intrusive ads - some of them are actually cool to look at. The place does get loud when it's busy. It's not a huge place and the tables get pretty close together, but it's usually not an issue having a conversation. When we were sat down at first we were say by the entrance and that was much worse. People coming in, going out and the orders being shouted in the kitchen made it less than pleasant, however after asking the staff had no issue moving us into the main dining room without a fuss and there was no issue there. The staff as a whole are all very friendly. It's clear they like their job and are just overall pleasant. Our waitress recognized us after a few months of us not coming in. If you're looking for that small town breakfast diner feel, good food, and not fancy breakfast place prices, you can't go wrong with Gram's Kitchen.

Biscuits and Sausage Gravy with a side order of Sausage.

A group of us Harley riders came in here before our Saturday ride to have breakfast. We were immediately greeted when entering and the hostess found a table for six of us. Our waitress took our drink orders then gave us time to look over the menu. I ordered a full order of Biscuits and Sausage Gravy and a side order of Sausage Patties. Also had a cup of coffee and water. Everything was great and perfectly cook. Great food and service will return.

Super friendly, super loud. If you want a chill breakfast this is not the place to be. But if you don't mind some ruckus and constant yelling of "Welcome, good morning!" this is your place. I had the smoked sausage and eggs, eggs cooked perfectly to my order, sausage was griddled well, very greasy (and I enjoy a good greasy sausage but this was a bit overkill), home fries were crisp but tender but didn't have much flavor. Dad got the country fried steak and subbed sausage gravy for the regular white. The gravy was the thickness of mashed potatoes but did have some flavor. Fried steak was tender inside and crispy outside. Overall, breakfast is decent but not really worth a repeat trip. We did enjoy the vibe minus the noise, so a return trip for dinner is in order.

First time visiting this place. We went on Mother's Day, and I was surprised to see this place bustling. The parking lot was full out the front and even on the side of the building. Inside the restaurant has local business advertisements plastered all over the walls and on the tables. Something unique I've never seen before. The pricing of food is very affordable. The food itself, nothing that really stood out. Pretty average to be honest but I guess that's the typical diner food that you get. The corned beef hash that came with the Benedict was too thick, and I felt like it was more thick than the muffin that it was sitting on.

Good breakfast spot. Solid food, and staff. Family oriented. Only drawback is that it's self seating so it can get a little hectic.

Lovely Easter Brunch on the Patio…read more We came here for Easter brunch and had a really nice experience. I called about 45 minutes before arriving just to see if there was any chance we could get a table. They mentioned they were only taking reservations that day but were kind enough to squeeze us in for 1:30, which worked out perfectly. Raven was our waitress and she was wonderful. Super welcoming, friendly, and attentive the whole time without ever feeling overbearing. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and the steak and eggs, and of course we had to order mimosas (two each... because brunch ). Everything came out fresh and tasty. One small personal preference, and this might just be me, but I would have liked the Caesar salad lettuce to be chopped a bit smaller instead of the larger pieces. Not a deal breaker at all, just something I noticed. The steak was cooked well. I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've ever had, but it was definitely good. What really stole the show for me was the chimichurri sauce. I could honestly eat that by itself with the potatoes, it was that good. We sat on the patio and were a little worried it might be too hot, but it was nicely shaded and they have fans going, so it was actually very comfortable. The only time we got a little warm was after our second mimosa... but that might be on us Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back.

On Saturday's, they do a bottle of champagne for $20 and it wasn't the cheapest stuff in town! Our server was amazingly helpful, gave great recommendations and helped make our visit special. Everything is true farm to table so the menu rotates. But the dishes we had were divine. We split the savory crepe that was an egg crepe with mash potatoes, sausage and a sage brown butter sauce. Other item split were the haute pocket and steak flatbread. You can tell a lot of thought is put into the menu items and blending of flavors. We for sure will return!

About 20 years ago, my sister told me about this place cause she worked across the street from it…read moreand she went there almost every day. Even though time and time again I wanted to go I just never pulled it for one reason or another. But the other day I went and I have to tell you. Wow , if you want a good southern meal with southern hospitality a country kitchen feel like your Mama's homemade cooking. Filled with love in flavor. This is a place to go. My sweet man had their meatloaf plate more food than you can shake a stick at. It was delicious full of flavor and perfectly ,perfectly balanced .Their mashed potatoes ,Remind me of my mom's. They are made the way mashed potatoes are supposed to taste. The meatloaf perfect ,the fried okra just absolutely amazing and the ranch dressing to dip the okra in better than bottled . Then I just had the simple soup ,simple soup my foot .I had their potato soup and the Angel ( I think I remember her saying her name was Chrissy ) who made it , well I have to tell you. I believe when you sit down to a meal, you begin to enjoy it by the aroma of the flavors in the dish this soup when it was placed in front of me teased my pallet just from the aroma with the first bite I knew I was tasting perfection. It wasn't over seasoned. It wasn't under seasoned it hit every point on the flavor scale simple but delicious and extremely satisfying. It filled my stomach and my heart with warmth ,flavor and satisfaction. Now let's talk about the service we were greeted with kindness and a smile each server that we spoke to did more with a smile and a kind word and making our experience worth coming to the restaurant. The prices are reasonable large amount of food you get .The staff is amazing.. The ambience is very country very homie. It just makes you smile. The only thing I have to warn you about is if you are handicap and you are in a wheelchair, the bathrooms not so easy to maneuver. I had to leave my walker outside the bathroom to go into the bathroom, but they make up for it with having handrails for you to support yourself which compensates for the size of the bathroom. so just be prepared for that if you're a handicapped. Coming to this restaurant the only thing I'm sorry about is that it took me 20 years to get here but trust me I will be a regular from now on. The cooking the ambience and the people reminded me of home and what I grew up with perfect experience all the way around.

There was a bit of confusion as we had multiple servers coming up for our order but it wasn't an issue. The vanilla latte was really good even though it's not necessarily a coffee spot. Village Cafe is located in a plaza with other businesses, including medical offices, other restaurants and bars. Upon entering, my husband and I stood there for a moment not knowing if we should seat ourselves as we were greeted by no one other than stares from other patrons. We walked up to the counter and were greeted after staff were done discussing incoming food orders. We were then welcomed to seat ourselves. There were various tables - either with two or four chairs - indoors as well as outside. We chose to sit inside. The decor was minimal and there were several flat screened TV's on the wall playing a church service while a Top 40 radio station was playing in the background. The chairs were really uncomfortable (metal) and the table we were sat at had peeling brown paint that was covering wood. Our server was friendly and was able to tell us the specials. My husband ordered a grilled roast beef sandwich on a hoagie roll and I ordered a breakfast special and added a side of cheesy scrambled eggs to my order. We both agreed that our dishes lacked seasoning and my pancakes were a little tough. Luckily, I was full before I got to the bottom pancake, which was burned, and before the restaurant grew any warmer inside.
