I don't know exactly how I feel about Gramps. I stumbled upon it during my last and final Art Walk. And I didn't know whether I liked it over not. Met up with a friend here recently and it changed my view on it a bit. I like that they carry Tecate beer which is a plus. Their tables are lined with old Miami memorabilia. Came here randomly a couple weeks ago and discovered a they have a photo-booth! Which is pretty awesome, considering not many place have them. Only downside? The photos take really long to develop. New favorite spot in wynwood! Came here on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. Gramps is a nice alternative to all of the other packed wynwood bars that you can barely move in. There was still plenty of people there but with enough room to have your own space. There are three rooms: the main room when you walk in which has a bar and some booths (looks kind of like a diner), an outside room to the right with a dj, and a back room on the left which had live music. The back room is where I spent most of my time, it was a lot of fun and the band was great! The drinks weren't too pricey either from what I recall. Definitely check out gramps! This is a really cool spot. I'd give it 5 stars if there was dancing the night that I went. This place is dope. We rolled up to the spot and realized this wasn't going to be the typical bar. It's basically the image I would have of a beachside dive bar. The first part of the bar looks like a big garage that was transformed into a bar, the second part of the bar is outside seating that makes you feel like you fallen into a time warp back to a tiki bar and some hipsters got hold of it. The art on the walls, even in the bathroom, is great and definitely makes you feel like you're in Wynwood. To top it off the drinks are great, if you're into cocktails get the signature ones or get a suggestion from your bartender. They know what the fuck they're doing and you're gonna be a happy camper. Was there last night for MVEpisode... Was a nice clean hangout. Security was on point being attentive but not bothering/harassing which made a young black yute as myself feel quite comfortable. Not to mention the $16 bottles of champagne again but dang... that's wassup! Definitely will swing through here on the monthly. Oh yea tell the clean up crew it's quite rude/nasty to be grabbing customers liquor bottles to check on its status to see if it's empty. Didn't see them asking others if they were finished drinking they're cups or whatnot. Not acting like this has never happened to me before somewhere else but dude did it twice. This is a very cute spot in the Wynwood area. I came here on a Saturday evening. There was no line or cover at the door. Upon entering there is an our side bar, lots of seating and a dj. I made my eay to their inside bar where you can find punball games, booths and bar counter. I sat at the bar and order a moscow mule. Yoooooo fresh ginger is used in their drink. If you want more details, read on: It's quirky, fairly well-furnished, well-decorated, great atmosphere, and a pretty awesome crew running the place from what I've experienced. I've been coming to the bar for about a year (year and a half?) now and I've always had a pretty good time - especially during Tuesday Trivia and the all the other cool, little fun stuff they do there. But if you really want to know what the hell is up, you go to Sunday brunch. I'm about that. However, what I like about the bar the most is that they're consistently improving. The back area has been renovated from a gravel pit to nice designated sitting areas with lights, benches, trees, etc. I'll have to admit I've been unhappy with some overly-priced drinks here and there - I think it might depend on the occasion (such as if it's art walk or something). I feel like RIGHT NOW (Winter 2013-2014) has been pretty strong for them - so I'd recommend you go as soon you can. I'd like to see some improvement in that back room they have there with the lights. My family and I came here while in town for a wedding, and we had a great time! The outdoor area is spacious and comfortable with many places for people to sit. I didn't spend anytime indoors, so I can't comment on that. There was also a grilled cheese food truck right by the front and that was delish!! When we were driving here (since we are not from the area), it seemed to be in a sketchy neighborhood, but the street seemed pretty safe and was packed with lots of people. I am currently pregnant so although I cannot drink, the bartender made me an amazing non-alcoholic pineapple mojito! Yum! We were attending an Storyhunter's event, so might be better service to all of the filmmakers who were there. He needs to learn what a good manner can do for him. Outside was totally the opposite. Disclaimer: I actively avoid Wynwood. Gramps was cool. They don't serve Jack Daniels and their Moscow Mule is gross. Gramps continues to be one of my favorite wynwood bars. The service and drinks are always great. I always have to order a Rosemarys baby here (yes they're that good). My boyfriend definitely appreciated the pizza truck they had as he was starving at this point. The crowd really depends on the night. With an indoor and outdoor area I think the outdoor part is really the best with music that isn't too loud so you're able to talk or just dance if you want. Can't forget to check out the back room where they feature live bands occasionally. Only con I have to say is I've heard they've charged cover for some nights which is unfortunate. read more

I discovered Gramps on a slow monday night in Miami. The gem in this bar/club is the pizza. The best pizza in Miami! I believe it is operated by a food truck company, but they service anyone who's partying there and wants food. I went back on a Saturday night. Obviously, it was crowded but the vibe was great and the pizza was still delicious. My bartender was fast, and the drinks were awesome and strong as they should be. I love the setup also, because the bar itself is inside and the dance floor is outside with enough seats. This is a great spot for groups of friends or a couple looking for some fun. I am completely appalled by the behavior of several individuals who work in this location, especially the male host/bouncer who was working on Saturday night (April 24, 2021). There were a male and female duo who perhaps were tired from working and took it out on our party. They represented Gramps in an EXTREMELY poor and absolutely TERRIBLE manner. We have visited this spot previously for business meetings as well as casual meetings. Unfortunately, we will NEVER again be visiting this location, and the members of our large party have all expressed the same sentiment. It is unacceptable to insult customers and speak to them in a disparaging tone. I am certain that the owners and management of this establishment would not appreciate the way that the hosts/bouncers treated us. The management was called at one point, and although the manager was more cordial, he unfortunately did not solve the situation. I cannot express enough how disappointing this experience at Gramps was. I hope that personnel will receive training on how to properly treat customers. read more

This is my second time here. Great for big groups, has plenty seating areas, the music is retro, or old school, they have three different bar and DJ areas, they have a small arcade area as well. Surprisingly, the food is good, fries were seasoned well and crispy but not burned, the pizza is thing so perfect if you love thin crust but not perfect if you dont.
