I love smaller-to-medium venues like this because it feels more intimate, and there truly isn't a bad spot in the house. The parking garage right across the street is a tiny fraction of normal venue parking costs, which is a pleasant surprise-and out of character for Miami Beach. The staff were all pretty nice and they gave out free water bottles in the pit-also a nice money saver vs buying a $6 venue water bottle, and a nice touch from them so nobody passes out. I do think they could have better signage to find your seats. Also, one MAJOR and honestly ridiculous issue: there are two GA areas that are sold as one: one is the pit right in front of the stage, and the other is at the verrrryyyy back of the venue, even behind the seats. What they don't tell you on your ticket or at all is that the front one is first-come first-served and once they run out of wristbands, anyone with a GA ticket is sent to the back. I had no idea about this. We came straight from work, and I went inside while my husband parked the car and got a wristband and the process was explained to me. I tried to show the tickets to get one for my husband so he wouldn't be stuck in the back, and they wouldn't give it to me. I called him and he ended up sprinting and getting one of the last wristbands. Nobody should pay for (and look forward to) up close and personal pit tickets, only to end up in the farthest seats in the venue. Especially with no communication about how it works. This is beyond infuriating and makes absolutely no sense. They should just sell two separate GA sections. read more

Okay, I think this is my favorite concert space in Miami. It's beautiful, intimate, and nostalgic in a way. The entire experience is always seamless and easy. And I love that their bar area is close by and easy to get to so you can enjoy a few drinks during the concerts. The seating arrangement is great but my favorite is hanging out in the general admission area where you get to see the artists a bit closer and theirs more room to dance and hand around. I recently came to The Berlioz concert here and loved the entire production. Absolutely loved this venue. It's the perfect size for more of an intimate spacious experience. Inside is well organized with a bar straight ahead and souvenirs off to the left hand side to keep things moving. There's staggering there for any help.yoi need or to let you know where to go. Once inside the space the seating was comfy enough but once the concert started there was no seating thes rest of the night. I loved looking up and seeing the big beautiful chandelier as well. If you're on the floor there was a bar riggt off in the cut but the seating area had to walk out for snacks and drinks but no biggie. I didn't need to use the restroom but that's also located on the side where you exit from Valet is in the front but I suggest the garage parking across the street which is cheaper and a 5 minute walk at the most. The Fillmore is a heck of a theater. I have been for many shows over the years. The show I have seen the most would be "Brit Floyd". They were in town again last weekend and I was happy to catch them once again. It's a great location. There is a huge parking ramp a couple blocks away. That ramp usually empty's pretty quick after a show. It's right near Lincoln so easy to grab a pre-drink or diner before the show or after. And of course it has the South Beach vibes. We walked into the beatiful theater this past weekend. Security is always quick, and there are plenty of bars so never a wait to grab a beverage. It was a great show, in a great space. It's simple in design, but has a classic elegant design. It was a great show with great service in a nice spot, as always. It's a bit of a drive to make it down there, but always worth it. read more

Opened in 1957 along with the Miami Beach Exhibition Hall, the Fillmore Miami Beach was originally called the Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium. This theatre became famous as the home to many television variety shows, including the Dick Clark Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, and the third revival of The Jackie Gleason Show in 1964. We purchased VIP access passes for David Byrne and were instructed to arrive by 5:30 p.m. for a VIP tour that lasted all of 20 minutes--only to be told afterward that we would need to remain in an empty lobby until 8:15 p.m. because the venue does not allow re-entry. To make matters worse, although there is a Club Lounge on site, we were informed it requires a completely separate ticket not included in the VIP package, and that it was already sold out. This was a surprisingly disjointed and disappointing customer experience. If the venue/band intends to label something as "VIP," the offering should be priced and structured to include access to the Club Lounge or an equivalent space. As it stands, the experience felt anything but VIP. read more

Every single person has been an absolute joy to work with. Alex and Cassidy running the space are attentive and caring. Incredibly professional and communicative. And just the best humans overall! Everything was taken care of swiftly and intently. Their security team is top notch - Cornell, Kevin and Gary to name a few. Any security ask was immediately taken care of. Jason and Tamika handling catering was effortless and the food was absolutely delicious. Veronica is an absolute boss handling all of our trucking and just running all of BOH. And Elsie and her team kept the space absolutely spotless and were so lovely. She would check in with us all the time and make sure we were always taken care of!! So grateful to work with this team. The events/concerts they host are incredible, but it's because the staff behind it cares so much. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Go see all the events here. Me and my friend paid for general admission to see Zara Larsson, and at no point were we ever told by email, text, or anything that GA was first come, first serve or that we needed to arrive early just to get a wristband for floor access. There was zero communication about any of this. Instead, we showed up expecting what we paid for, only to be denied access and moved all the way to the back of the theater. That is completely unfair and misleading. If there were important restrictions like that, it should have been clearly stated beforehand not sprung on us after we already paid and showed up. The worst guest services team. Instead of checking tickets and ushering people to their seats just outside the theater doors when they need to find their seats the ushers were doing it on the concert floor inside the doors of the actual theater. So for the first hour of the Sting 3.0 show all I could hear was the ushers talking about the seats. This feels like a school assembly and not a concert. I wish this was communicated better. The interior of the auditorium is beautiful. It has a balcony and holds over 2000 but still has an intimate feel, The exterior is less noteworthy but fits in Miami Beach with a deco style. I attended a show there recently and the valet parking ticketing was disorganized as they had to print out a paper ticket because the app wouldn't display the QR code so I had to walk to the ticket office to get that. The issue may have been with the Live Nation App. I added the tickets to my phone but the parking one still wouldn't display a QR code. Then once inside they reduced the seating area and one person informed me my seat would move ahead and I would have to get a new ticket from another employee. When I went to get the new ticket the other employee wasn't aware of that and thought I randomly wanted to change my seat and said she couldn't do that just because I didn't like my seat. Lol. How long have they been doing this? It was disorganized. When I entered the theater I had a pair of binoculars and the attendant (they were not listed on their website as not allowed) had to go check if they were allowed, which they were and it was OK. You'd think they would know this beforehand. I had Stardust level tickets and it included a nice private bar with appetizers. The bartender and staff were friendly. read more

The Fillmore doesn't look all that exciting from the outside, but once you're inside it's something else again. The décor is stunning, colorful and dramatic. It lends itself perfectly to a fun time event. As it is mostly used for musical events, I've found the acoustics to rather good and as it is actually one of the smaller of such venues every seat is a good seat. For concerts they also do a rather good job of have available snacks and drinks with enough staff in order to avoid long lines. And speaking of long lines, those to get in for some events can really be long. Fortunately The Filmore has a good lawn space one can enjoy while waiting. The Filmore is also within reasonable distance of larger facilities of municipal parking. read more

Beautiful Miami Beach landmark with 1940's decor. We have been to this venue to several events and the policy is quite different then of a true arts center venue: can bring beverages inside. Second, some events there are people coming selling beers during the performance. Third, it's not a large venue, so it's easier to locate your friends if you get separated for any reason. Third, there are several public garages around. Fourth, there are several places around to get a bit to eat before or after any performance. read more

Honestly, from the outside, it looks.. questionable. But the inside is really cute and "antique" looking. It was a little difficult to navigate around the lobby area to get to the seatings, but the staff was quick to help us get to the right place. The auditorium itself was quiet small, but I didn't mind it since the view wasn't obstructed, and I was more towards the back area. The only thing I had a complaint about was the water fountain looks disgusting, no one would be safe to drink out of that. read more

It took me 12 years of living in Miami before I finally made it to The Fillmore. I came for the Leon Bridges concert and definitely loved the experience! Tickets were GA and you could choose between standing in the front or taking a seat in the back. The front section filled up pretty quickly (they eventually stopped letting people in) and since I was pregnant, we chose to grab a seat which had great views and good acoustics. I wasn't sure how early to get there. We arrived pretty much right when the opening act was starting and most people weren't there yet. By the time Leon Bridges came, it was packed. I was so impressed by the sheer number of drink/concession stands with a wide variety of eats and drinks. Alcohol does cost a pretty penny, but on the upside, the lines weren't too long since there were so many different spots to purchase. We parked in the Lincoln Road garage with an entrance off of 17th St across from City Hall which wasn't too expensive. From there, it's a short walk to the Fillmore. I'll definitely be looking out for more artists I like coming to The Fillmore soon! read more

The Fillmore was not what I was expecting when I ventured to sobe to Attend the Mary j Blige concert. The entrance of the Fillmore looked very modest from the exterior but, as soon as you walk through the main doors you are instantaneously consumed by the feeling of euphoria! The interior is vividly decorated with fun art and colorful walls. I instantly felt like dancing! The stadium seating has high vaulted ceilings that the music echo through the entire place. It felt very intimate and different from your typical concert at a bigger venue. I highly recommend seeing a show here because the experience is really cool and unique! read more

Great venue! I wasn't sure what to expect but it's a really nice concert hall with lots of seating and a nice big floor. And the seats were really comfortable! There are plenty of bars scattered around the different lobbies so there wasn't a big wait for a drink. There were lots of food options too. And the way it is set up even though there are a lot of people there for the concert it doesn't really feel like you are crammed in. It was easy to hitch the Uber after too which I wasn't sure about! Wow. What a beautiful place. I've been waiting anxiously to go here just so I could see inside. Of course, I wanted to see an amazing act but that's beside the point. The Fillmore has such an old charm, but with a nicely updated flare. It's reminiscent of a classic theater, but yet is not dingy, dirty or outdated in the least. What's great is there are seats for those of you who are sitters and there is a large standing room (general admission) area for those of who you prefer to be up close and standing next to your favorite perform. For me, I love the two bars. One on each end of the venue. The sound is amazing. The acoustics are great. The staff is very friendly and of course I have to make sure the bathroom's are clean (which they were). Definitely a great place to see a concert. I can't wait to go back. read more

I try to stay away from this venue because of construction, traffic and parking. Thankfully I came several hours early for The Shady Tour event and found a parking spot right across the street. The best part about this venue is location. It's a few blocks away from some of the best restaurants which is great for anyone wanting to get a bite before a performance. There are also plenty of parking options BEFORE you get to the venue. The main street is pretty blocked with all the construction happening at the convention center. The Fillmore is a great venue with bars in the main and side hallways. Of course, be prepared to pay $15+ for a drink. Hey, it's South Beach so there's not surprise there. If you don't have an actual assigned seat, BEWARE! If they have it in the stand-up area, they will be fold out chairs where you are practically sitting on top of the people beside you. There was a row of tall men in front of me and they could barely breathe since they were on top of others in their party AND strangers. That made it really uncomfortable and hard to watch the show. read more

When I heard our event was at the Fillmore in Miami I was like *groan* I wonder if it's gotten any better or is still the same sh*thole where Slayer played. Well, they did get a paint job and new carpet, but the main battered seating, crappy staff, and no parking haven't changed. Hint: Park in the public lot building across 17th street and don't get swindled by their 'valet only' BS (which used to be a public lot btw. How'd they swindle that one?) Leave the gun & knives in the car because they *will* search you with a metal detector wand--even grandma was getting the legs and bag searched. I guess they didn't want her smuggling in the recoilless rifle like she did to The Nutcracker. Also, leave behind the mini-bottles, any food, and they didn't let us bring in sealed water bottles. Cheap places like this want you to buy theirs for $6. And no there isn't a drinking fountain. Grandma was pissed. The bathrooms can be decent or like a Porta-Jon at a construction site. So bring some wet wipes (that they will confiscate at the door, probably thinking you mean to wring the moisture out to drink from). Using some of the back balcony hallways as a restroom might be preferable- and looks like it has been done or occurred to other patrons before. They do have a bunch of old event flyers that are the best thing about this place on the walls. So, in conclusion. The bar sucks, the venue sucks, the staff sucks, the bathrooms suck, the parking sucks, Security sucks, everything sucks, the Fillmore sucks. I had to cross three streets in order to find a wheelchair friendly bathroom. Why couldn't they let me use the bathroom and then escort me back outside? I went to see Trevor Noah for The Daily Show. My favorite place in Miami to see a concert. It is a medium sized venue and basically the only place in Miami to see musicians that don't play arenas. The inside is very comfortable, depending on the concert they may have standing room up front, or they bring in folding chairs. I prefer to sit in the first row on the balcony to the side. You have a great view and don't have to stand up to see. There are several bars on each floor, making getting a drink easy. The drinks are super expensive, but they do have a good selection of craft beer. There is a smaller theater in the back, which I have not been to. They often have burlesque shows. The theater offers valet, but there are several parking garages in the area. read more

Fillmore is a gorgeous venue with high ceilings, chandeliers, decent seats, and small enough to enjoy the show no matter where your seating. Reminds me of old Hollywood glamour. In south Florida if you want to go to any type of show this is the prefect place to go to. I have gone to different comedy shows and concerts here and always had a great time. We usually have dinner before going here but they do have drinks/bar which is expensive but pretty standard for a place like this. The one category Fillmore could be better is the employees. Some of the employees do not want to be bothered when you ask a question. Even the valet service is ridiculous with them trying to take money from you but then tell you to park in the lot across if you want. It's better not to do valet and park across the street in the garage which is very cheap per hour and not very far. Overall, Fillmore is a good place to see any show you fancy.~ read more

Went here to see Maks, Val, & Peta Tour Show which was so much fun and phenomenal. Great job guys! You knocked it out of the park! The theater itself is beautiful. They must have renovated it because I recall a couple of years ago it being very old looking and smelling of moth balls. They have a bar at the front and the lobby was very Art Deco like but a modern, upscale casual Art Deco vibe. The bathrooms were very clean as well which is a plus. Parking was very easy as well as here were two garages nearby. My only issue was the fact that the floor wasn't at an incline as most theaters are. They do this so that you are not blocked by the person in front of view. Well right when the family in front of us sat down our view was blocked so the entire show I had to crane my neck to see which wasn't fun but I made do because heck it's Maks, Val& Peta! Still though it would have been nice to just look straight ahead. Now the people in back of mine weren't so nice about it. An older gentleman at the end of the show forcefully pushed my arms down when I raised them for applause and when I was giving the cast a standing ovation. In a exclamatory, overjoyed fashion, like any Dancing with the stars fan would do, I stood up and clapped my hands overhead saying "woo hoo" in an attempt to show how happy I was with their performance, but Mr. I have no sense of respect and I'm so arrogant and think I can do whatever the heck of I want, decided to put his hands on my arms and push them down saying "Put your hands down!". I was so confused thinking no one would ever do such a thing, let alone a stranger, to aggressively push someone's arms down in front of them, but I turned around anyways to look at who this person was to have the audacity to do such a thing and it was a taller older man who told me, "My wife can't see!". I smiled and turned right back around and kept clapping on to the beat of the music. Tough luck buddy, I couldn't see either. Now, as I said the theater aesthetically was beautiful. It's an intimate venue and I was actually able to see the performers' faces which was nice! But really though that was a major design flaw...the floor should have been raised at an incline that way everyone would be able to see. I would go back if another ballroom dance show or music concert was there but for anything else like a play or a musical , no way. read more
