They go out of their way to find something that will work for you to drink and they're always there before your glass goes empty. If you're going in thinking that the decor is fancy, then this isn't the place for you. If you're coming for great food and friendly people than you arrived at your destination. My wife ordered the ribeye which was cooked to absolute perfection and the other three of us ordered the prime rib. What made their prime rib so much different is that it wasn't over seasoned and subpar quality. They let the meat speak for itself and it was tender and unforgettable. Hildreth is a little bit out of the way, but it's definitely worth stopping in.

They have a special every evening. We have been their for Burger Night on Friday and had great burgers. All their meat is local USDA Choice. Last Saturday got there for the prime rib and rib eye steak special. Had them both and they were done perfectly and the beef was tender. The "cheesy potatoes" were homemade and excellent. Service is good and the owner and staff are friendly. Bring Cash....no credit cards here. They do have an ATM in case you forget. The place isn't fancy....just an old time country bar with an assortment of different tables. The kitchen area appears clean. It would be nice if they could put in some new modern restrooms.

The first bite of that pepperoni pizza roll with the obviously fresh yeast bread dough roll, the meat sauce, the garlic cream sauce...then the fresh beer-battered fish and really good crispy french fries, and a home made cole slaw that's just about as good as my husband's late Southern grandma's cole slaw (which is really high praise.) The Lucky Seven pizza was also delicious with a perfect crust and big chopped veggies like mushrooms and peppers. Service was friendly and attentive; the decor is clean and on the more minimalist side while also comfortable and welcoming. Agree with all the other reviewers, this is absolutely an amazing experience--this meal will be one of the great memories of our road trip from Sugar Land, Texas (greater Houston area) to South Dakota and Mount Rushmore.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the restrooms were spotless, always a great sign. The food was clearly made with fresh ingredients. The side salad was humongous and beautifully fresh. The cup of chili was outstanding, packed with beef and beans in a hearty Rocky Mountain style with just the right amount of heat. The pizza was delicious, and the steak had gorgeous grill marks, juicy and tender just the way it should be. Pro tip: order the chili and beef pizza together! The pizza has a perfectly bread-y crust that dips beautifully into the chili, a combination you don't want to miss

The BBQ aroma meets you at the door as soon as you walk in. There's plenty of seating, and the restaurant is bright, and clean. I ordered the two-meat plate since I wasn't super hungry, and it was just enough to satisfy my taste for BBQ. The smoked sausage wasn't greasy and had a nice snap to it. The sliced brisket was moist with good smoky flavor, and not fatty at all. The Cole slaw was good, but I wouldn't mind a slightly larger portion. The toasted slice of Texas toast filled up the little last bit of space I had in my stomach. The meats were flavorful, and just what you'd want if you have a taste for BBQ. Service was quick, and friendly at the time of my visit which was on a Saturday afternoon. A good place for BBQ if you're not too picky, and hungry for some smoked meats.

Ordered the three meat plate with beans and fries and had to stop myself from finishing the entire plate.....they give you a lot of food. The brisket and turkey were equally tender and smoked to perfection. The beans were a highlight. You can tell they go all in on them. The ribs were great, too, and though it didn't need them, the sauces were all very flavor-forward and delicious. Great spot and I am looking forward to coming back again and again.

Taylor was amazing, our bartender made perfect martinis and the food was off the charts! I always take advantage of that by trying out the local fare. This place was special and deserves all the stars! It is at the corner of 3 or 4 farm roads kind of in the middle of nowhere. You walk through a series of doors before entering the hostess area. It was dim lit as you would expect a speakeasy to be and I was greeted immediately. I was by myself and the bar was open so that's where I went. It was busy and had I been with more people we would have needed a reservation.. it was pretty busy. I ordered the house special drink which was a dirty martini with blue cheese olives and it was perfect. I then ordered the 9oz sirloin which you can have it with just the normal seasoning or they have a list of ways you can get it like Oscar, béarnaise.. etc. I got it with a red wine mushroom reduction and it also comes with a salad and 1 side. All the dressings are house made and I picked mashed potatoes and brown gravy. The steak was cooked just the way I asked which was medium rare, it was juicy, seasoned well and the red wine reduction just added to the deliciousness. The mashed potatoes were buttery, soft, light and airy and the brown gravy wasn't overly salty and was perfect! I would love to bring my wife to this place if I'm ever in that area. I might even take a trip just to go to that place!
