Where has this gem been? Tucked away with barely a view from a busy street or destination shopping…read morecenter is where. North off 27th is where. Nowhere is where. But no matter where you may live or visit in Lincoln, this is worth the drive home because the longer your drive after dinner, the more your reverie about the experience, a combination of excellent food and silky ambiance.

We were traveling across the country and stopped in Lincoln for the night…read more Our hotel located off the freeway was surrounded by fast food restaurants and I didn't see any type of sit down restaurants in the area. I checked Yelp and found Villa Amore a little over a mile away and the reviews were great. The pictures looked a little fancy so we were concerned we would be undressed as we were in our travel clothes but we noticed they had a bar so we would be okay. We drove up and saw the restaurant is attached to a small hotel. We walked in and although the restaurant has white table cloths and nicely appointed, everyone was very casual so don't be concerned about being underdressed. It isn't as fancy as the pictures look but it is a nice restaurant. We sat at the bar which was perfect for us. There is plenty of additional seating in the bar area or you can sit in the dining area. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Dre took our order and another female bartender attended to us as well. She was professional and nice as well. We sat down and ordered drinks. Dre brought a basket of bread with olive oil dipping sauce and butter. The bread was warm and crispy. We ordered the Chicken & Sausage $18.00/Chicken$18.00/Sausage$20.00/Both. Sautéed in a creamy brandy sauce over penne pasta. The pasta was cooked well. Chicken and sausage were tender and flavorful. The sauce was delicious. It was very rich. The dish also came with a salad which was refreshing. The ranch dressing tasted homemade. Very good. We also ordered a 12" thin crust pizza. Classic Italian, $14.00. Meatballs, pepperoni, sausage, and mozzarella cheese. Although it was thin crust, I wish it would have been more crispy. The sauce a little too sweet but it was tasty. This restaurant is worth a stop if you are traveling through Lincoln and prefer a nice sit down meal.

This is my first time here, and it was with my partner and his company for their holiday outing…read more The staff did a great job of taking care of us, although we were a party of about 25 people, spread out in the small tables of their back room. The lemon drop martini was great, a little on the south side, which I don't mind. The Caesar salad was a good starter, as were a few appetizers (not pictured) that we started our meal with. I wish I remember the name of my pasta dish, but I don't see it on the full menu. We had a limited menu for the company party, but this was a cavatappi pasta with a white sauce, and I added shrimp to the dish. It was excellent! I also got to try The chicken Parmesan, lasagna, and a few other dishes. All were great for the price point. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot for a casual date night, or a group event of any kind!

We were seated right away with a large party, which was a great start. Our server was super nice…read moreand did a good job staying attentive, especially considering how big our group was. I ordered spaghetti with marinara and a side salad. I specifically asked for no cucumbers, but the salad still came out with them. It's one vegetable I absolutely hate, but I didn't send it back, just wish a little more attention had been paid to that request. The pasta itself wasn't very good. The marinara barely coated the noodles and didn't have much flavor, so I ended up asking for a side of Alfredo just to make it better. Overall, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but the food didn't impress me. The highlight of the experience was definitely the server handling such a large group so well.
