My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here last night after making reservations on OpenTable. We…read morewere warmly greeted by the host who acknowledged our event and seated us in the back overlooking the brew room, very nice. It was my first visit to your restaurant though my wife has been here before with friends. Chad was our server. He pleasantly explained the drink and dining menus and took good care of us all evening. My bride had her favorite drink, The French Martini, and you guys nailed it for her! I was very happy with the 2025 Pils. Dinner was amazing, Skirt steak for her, brisket for me with Yukon potatoes following salads for both of us. The quality and taste of the food was great and makes us want to come back and sample other dishes. We received great service and a nice complimentary glass of champagne (with Ho-Ho's) to finish our celebration. At the end of the evening we received a big surprise when Chad came over with news that we had no bill to pay as my wife's daughter and her husband had secretly called to pay the tab! So thoughtful of them to treat us and to top off a memorable meal and milestone in our lives.

Bar program is strong. The short rib pot pie was a straight up winner. Rich, comforting, and not trying to be anything other than good food done right. The bone marrow lost me. Cooked well, but buried under too many microgreens and then oddly topped with tortilla chip strips. No smokiness either. It felt more confused than cohesive. Where it really started to miss was the overall approach. A lot of "the chef intends this..." type explanations. It ends up feeling like the food insists upon itself instead of just letting you enjoy it. That's the bigger issue. This place exists in a space where I don't think most people want to meet it. Not casual enough to relax, not refined enough to justify the performance. Bottom line: good drinks, great pot pie, but the experience tries a little too hard.

Bought many things here over the years. We walked in and was immediately recognized by "thebiglebowski." Still the same and the hardware store is the same with a plethora of bolts, nails, building materials, collapsable buckets, and of course a very nice candy counter! Both staffers in the aisles were helpful and friendly, pointed me in the right direction for what I needed. I headed to check out and the total should have come to about $75 minus the two sales which were advertised on the shelf: $5 off one of the grass seeds if you are an Ace member (we are) and $6 off another grass seed, also need to be a member. I entered my ACE number and the clerk confirmed it. I should have saved $11 tonight, but the advertised discount didn't show up at the register, full price only. I asked the clerk and I pointed to the two sales tags hanging in front of the products on the shelf. She called the manager and explained that the sales were not showing up, but then we realized it is still August 30th and the sales tags' say "September". So the manager said I would have to COME BACK in two days if I wanted to get the sales price, even though the tags on the shelf advertised the sale. I suggest they don't put up the September sales tags until it is actually September if they are not going to honor the prices that are being advertised. This will most likely happen to the customers tomorrow as well, August 31st. I don't fault the clerk at all. She tried her best to request that I get the sales price, but the manager was firm. Nope, come back in September. What the heck? I will never come back, actually. I will keep driving the 7 miles out to Menards where they honor the prices they advertise.

I drive over most weekends to just pick up a bag or two of gardening soil or some pavers or bags of grass seed...but, I somehow end up spending $150 on fan gardening materials, seedlings, soil, seeds, and so much paint! I've painted my whole house, including the basement and outdoor area, too! When I'm having a tough day, a visit to the Menards on North Avenue is so comforting. Especially if it's one of their "11% back mail in rebate" days or if I have rebate cash to spend!! Love the staff here, too.

I bought some 3/4 of boards and wanted to have it pre cut. I asked the register and had the guy paged twice. I waisted 23 mins for the guy to show up. Also the tool rental was great. One time i rented a carpet doctor vac. It worked really good. And the 50lb electric jack hammer worked right for my project. In general the store is great. They carry almost all tool brands for diy repairs. Great store.

I absolutely hate coming to this Home Depot. I try to avoid it at all costs. The worst problem is…read morethat they have almost no lumber carts. I will walk in to a store with no carts then I will have to walk back out, Search the parking lot, or follow another customer out to get their cart. Part of the problem is that their staff uses the few lumber carts they have for storage. The second big complaint I have with them is whenever you try to talk to customer service about any issue you're having you get a runaround. You will be placed on hold, transferred three or four times and be 20 minutes before they tell you there's nobody to talk to. I hate the store with a passion. I generally drive way out of my way to go to any other Home Depot. One star because it won't let me give zero. The only bright spots in the store are Tanisha and Rosie in the pro department. The manager of the store needs to go visit Oakbrook Terrace or Downers Grove. I never have trouble getting carts at either of those two stores. I know I'm not the only one who has this issue at the Northlake Home Depot. I'm more than one occasion, I followed somebody out to the parking lot to get their cart, came and loaded the cart with my own purchases, and when I went to another aisle to get some blades or something, I come back to find somebody has offloaded my cart onto the floor and taken it for themselves because they can't find a cart either. Brian helped me and took the time to explain the differences in many of the Toro snow blowers and I wound up buying the 518ZE What a great crew with a welcoming attitude and helpful also. This shop is the worst place you can take your equipment to…read more They charge a fee to inspect, but since the techs are badly organized and have bad leadership, it'll take weeks to get an answer. They won't bother calling either. Sales won't really care about you unless you make a scene about something they messed up, or you give them millions. Parts sucks, you might as well look for parts yourself. They lost my machine a while ago, gave to a different customer and then tried charging me for the tune up they did without replacing the parts the other person had used. Shop was doing well while managed under a John Calabria, I always got answers when I called. Now it looks and sounds like headless chickens
