This rating is really more about the food than anything. I Wasn't aware that ownership/something changed here as I was last here in July. The menu has shrunk, which honestly, I'm not mad at, it helps lower costs and makes it more manageable for the restaurant. So I get it. The hard part is that the veggie focused meals were not good and lacked a lot. Ordered to the king salad which promised seasonal veggies added... but nope, it was just kale, cabbage, carrots, sunflower seeds and blue cheese. Sort of looked like a bag salad mix. Will say that the dressing was yummy but if I'm gonna go out and order a salad I want it to have it be something I can't easily do at home. Also ordered the loaded veggie bowl. This turned out to be a similar mix to the salad- think of like a bagged stir fry mix of kale, cabbage and carrots sliced topped on a heaping pile of white rice. This meal also promised fresh veggies but the only addition we found was a bit of zucchini sprinkled In. Idk about yall but when I order a "loaded veggie bowl" I expect more. They gave us tons of rice so seems like they knew they needed to compensate for the lack of veggies. I guess the restaurant is trying to go a healthy route, which is cool but it also needs to be tasty. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but these "veggie focused" meals, are not really that, so it just ends up being disappointing. If you shrink your menu, that usually means you're doing so to ensure that the quality increases with a more limited menu. Not the case here. If you do come here, order the smash burger. It was solid. Only complaint is that it came with a really small side of fries. read more

Honestly pretty decent food in a dicey environment. I don't eat meat but the people I was with had the elk chili loaded fries and loved it. I had a veggie burger and the bun was fresh and fluffy. But the star of the show was the Diet Coke. Obnoxiously good! read more

We went during the opening weekend, and so glad we have another option in Glacier to eat at. The food was good, the service was on point even though it was their first day, and the hours can't be beat. Our server even brought an etch sketch and coloring books for them to play with! This review is during COVID so it may not be a true representation of this restaurant. I recently stayed just outside of Glacier, and decided to try Graham's. The dining room was closed but you can order from a window outside. The menu was a bit limited but not unexpected during these times. I ordered the Clark Gable, which seemed like their signature burger. It was 80% bun and 5% meat. There was a spattering of shredded lettuce, two slices of tomato that covered half of the burger, a ring of onion that ran the edge of the burger, and a choice of cheese that was barely noticeable. There was supposed to be a special Graham sauce that was missing, if it wasn't for the tomato it would have been bone dry. Now, the fries were perfect. They are the thin, flat steak fries and done just right. I'm not sure if there was any seasoning but they were tasty. I'll be back again to give another chance when in normal operating mode. EDIT: Shout out to the owner for their reply on this review and offer to make it right. I'll definitely give this place another try when in the area and update accordingly. I'll pay full price because that was never my intention and will support local as much as possible. I added a star based on the customer service! read more

My husband and I ate at Graham's Historical Restaurant during a recent trip to the Mt. Baker area. For starters, the Caesar salad was the best I've ever had. The dressing was nice a mild and the Romano cheese on top was perfect. Also enjoyed fish tacos made with really fresh cod. They just reopened recently. It's really cool inside and I like the vibe of the place. However, I think they are still working out things. They are short staffed and try their best to do what they can with what they can. We called ahead of time and placed an order for 5 people. Took about an hour and 45 minutes. Very sweet employees who know the regulars pretty well. Food is "ok." The boys enjoyed the burgers, they were out of their pot pies that I was stoked to try but I completely understood. The cheese curd fries were uhmm not so tasty but the fried cheese curds themselves were delicious. I had the chicken katsu, not much flavor but I wasn't horrible. Everything about it was sub par and even though was super hungry, the burger left SO much to be desired - Chicken Strips.. You can see in the attached photo how badly burnt the chicken was. There was no taste and nothing about it felt or seemed edible, it had been refried so much that it was not something that should be offered to eat in any restaurant - They ran out of coffee on a Saturday morning so no coffee - The service was SUPER KIND and nice. I really want to give this place a good review. The restaurant is unique and has character. It's fun to walk around and enjoy the unique knick knacks, western big leather sofas around a large tv screen for watching the game, and more. But if you're here for food and good service, well, I suggest going elsewhere. The service is slow. And that can be OK when you want to slow down. However, there were four of us and one of us ordered the elk chili. Her chili was the last to arrive, about 5 minutes after two burgers and a chicken dish. Surprisingly, the chili was half frozen. It took a while to get a servers' attention. She took it back. 10 minutes later it was returned, this time luke warm. My burger arrived and our server forgot to deliver the fries that go with it - I had to track her down to get them. Our server never apologized, never asked if things were OK, didn't really seem to care. When it came time to settle up, we were presented a digital bill on the portable card reader. We didn't get a paper itemized printout. She went through each item, and they looked right, but they didn't have prices. For three of us (one paid separately), it came to $144 after tip. That included one alcoholic drink. I wanted to verify the charges, but our server turned away and left too quickly, and I was too disgusted to do anything - which I now regret. So, maybe go here for a beer at the bar - it has nice ambiance for an apres ski after a long day at Mt Baker, but buyer beware if you're hungry and want fast service and hot food. read more

After looking over the Yelp reviews for Grahams, we decided to give it a try. Being in Glacier for the weekend there aren't many options for dinner. boy was that a mistake. To start with the restaurant was a bit cold, they could turn up the heat a bit. My wife and I both decided to get the bar steak and they were happy enough to substitute a Ceaser salad for the fries it usually comes with. We both decided to go with the extra price add on of onions and mushrooms. The Ceasar salad arrived, it was a good size and tasted okay, however the lemon wedge that came with the salad looked a bit rotten. The inside and outside part of the lemon was really brown and nasty looking. Then the steak arrived. Initially it looked good covered in onions and mushrooms, until I tasted it and discovered a few things that were just really bad: 1. The onions and mushrooms weren't really cooked much. They were advertised as grilled, but that was a bit of a stretch. They were very raw and cold in the middle. 2. There was no seasoning or flavor. The mushrooms had on seasoning, the onions had no seasoning, and the steak had no seasoning. 3. The steak was advertised as being seasoned with herb butter. But when the steak arrived it had a slice of butter right out of a plain butter cube on top. Not even melted. 4. The steak was a bit tough. We both had a hard time cutting into the steak with the steak knives provided. 5. This was the thinnest steak that I have seen in a very long time. It was overcooked, and the texture reminded me of a piece of beef jerky without any seasoning. The interesting that that I noticed was that my wife has the same issues with here steak items #1 to 4 above, but hers was not thin. Take a look at the picture and compare the two steaks. Even given the fact that we had missed lunch and we were both really hungry we gave up on this meal about half way through the steak, and as far as the onions and mushrooms go, one bite was more than enough. The good news with Grahams is that they have a convenience store attached, and after we abandoned our steaks and fed them to our dog, we were able to pick up some snacks in the convenience store to keep from going hungry. Even with the limited dining selection in Glacier, it isn't worth going to Grahams. I truly regret this dining experience. read more

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast before hitting the trails. We took our time driving to take in the colorful fall colors and beautiful scenery on highway 542. The decor is rustic and simple which adds to the charm. There is literally zero phone/internet connection here. There is an old-school (CRT) TV mounted to watch the local news while dining. We arrived at about 8:15am on a Saturday morning and were quite thrilled to find this place open and ready to serve breakfast. Visa is an accepted form of payment. Our drink choice was a Backwoods Amber (not a breakfast drink but delish nonetheless) crafted by Backwoods Brewery for $4 a pint. I always appreciate venues that feature local Washington brews. My wife ordered the Baker's Special for $5.99: two eggs, sausage, potatoes and two pieces of toast. I ordered the Veggie Omelette for $7.99: served with potatoes and two pieces of toast. Our breakfast's were huge, tasty and extremely filling. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely be stopping here every time we travel highway 542 in the future. I really don't understand how this place still has a 3.5 star rating. The food we ordered was from a freezer. The only thing that was fresh on my plate of fish and chips was the lemon wedge. The fish was burned and my wife's burger was burnt as well. I'm fairly certain the fries are cooked in the same fryer as the fish. After a day of traveling and hiking through Mt Baker National Forest, my husband and I ended up hungry and ready to eat almost anything. We stopped here to check out this place and we were happy we stopped here. The food and atmosphere are pleasant. I highly recommend trying the BBQ bacon meatloaf sandwich if you are seeking a hearty meal. It's delicious! The philly cheese steak sandwich was a good choice as well. Small town, beautiful country, great food. One of a growing list of reasons why I want to quit my job, move to Glacier, build a yurt. Probably the best place in the Shuksan/Baker area to get food. (if you know of a better place, let me know!) I had a lamb burger before a big climb of Shuksan and it may or may not have kept me going for over 33 straight hours! While the food is made fresh - wings pippin hot and chicken breast (in the burgers) grilled to perfection with light charr, the taste was below par. Cajun rub was light and buffalo sauce was excessive on the wings. The burgers were very bland with absolutely no flavor. Fries were okay. The food isn't worth the price. Unexpectedly delicious. This mountain lodge feel restaurant is heated by wood stove so, bundle up in the winter. Had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and grilled brat. Lousy food and service unfortunately - waitress made no eye contact and was clearly annoyed we decided to visit the restaurant as it meant extra work for her. Then the manager or bartender took over to take our orders - I ordered chicken burger with bacon and a side salad - what I received was a chicken burger with no bacon and no side salad. The burger itself was less then average good - dry and bun was lacking, could do better. Had to ask for our bill after sitting around waiting. Our group of 8 came to Graham's after a wet day at the ski hill, and we were hungry for a hot tasty meal. Upon arriving at Grahams, we were given a couple table locations, and opted for the bench by the door. I really liked the ambience - the CI skillet door closers is a great touch! The back bar & mirror is quite impressive, too. The Food was pretty good, and delivered to us quickly; in recollection, I wouldn't recommend the mozzarella stick appetizers; they really weren't much better than what you would find in the freezer section of a gas station, and the flavor was off. The onion rings were great, however. We really enjoyed the beer selection as well - plenty of options, and a decent cider to boot. I ordered the pork cutlet special, and was very impressed at the flavor and consistency. No issues at all. I'd asked for a baked potato "with all the fixin's", but it only had sour cream & a chive mixture. Was hoping for some cheese & bacon bits as well. In the end, I enjoyed my meal, and it was a good value for the price. The service was just average, given that the place wasn't busy at all - the server really didn't seem all that pleased to see a passel of dudes showing up, and her demeanor seemed to show it. On the other hand, it could have just been a bad day; however, she did come by to check on our meals a couple times, and brought out another pitcher of beer when requested. In the end, none of us came away feeling like a valued guest. I'd definitely dine here again, but wouldn't make an effort to come here over some of the other options in town. read more

It's a low-brow beer slinging tavern, the food is pretty bad. The ambience is interesting, it used to be a much nicer establishment but has changed owners a few times. I took my family there for a late lunch, it was not good. My mom's food was burned, the food she asked for looked like it had been served straight from a frozen food tin. When 50 dollars of food for 3 people is not edible thats unconscionable. Depending on who you ask, eating there is a coin toss as to whether you get decent food or not. I live near this place, so i'm definitely saying stay away if you are wanting food, the beverages are safe. read more

Came up for the weekend and ordered dinner at Graham's to take back to our cabin. What a quirky restaurant! The wooden bar is from the 1930's we were told and the restaurant serves as the unofficial "museum" of the town. The walls are lined with newspaper articles on the snowstorm that stranded skiers for days back in the 80's along with articles from movies filmed on Mt. Baker (Call of the Wild and Deer Hunter), Pajama Breakfasts and so on. They have a pool table in the back and table-size checkers. So quirky that the floors are not level and creaks as old buildings do.The staff were friendly and welcoming on the two occasions we ordered dinner to-go. Burgers were nice and juicy; spaghetti was okay, Reuben and meatball sandwich were good. I loved their chicken wings (ordered it plain with ranch) - wasn't breaded or greasy at all! Fries were also good - nicely seasoned, it didn't need catsup at all. The two misses were the fish 'n chips - overdone that the batter was not golden brown, but almost burnt and the Zucchini appetizer (too much breading, practically no zucchini). Other than that, we do recommend Graham's for a fun quick meal. read more

We stopped by here for a pickup after a hike in the Mt. Baker Wilderness. It's a small restaurant that embodies the KIR flavah of the Mt. Baker Highway, though this place has a pronounced sense of humor, as evidenced by the hilariously written tabloid newspaper style menu. That alone is well worth a visit, though the beer selection, bar food and funky ambiance will encourage you stay. While I know food tastes better after a long hike, the potato wedgies were excellent on their own - just greasy and crunchy enough. We saved room for dessert, as should you, for the homemade ice cream sandwich, large enough to feed two, is undeniably one of the best I've had. And I love me my dessert, so that's high praise. So should you find yourself headed to Mt. Baker, or happen to be rafting out of Glacier one summer's day, this place is well worth checking out. read more

We were really hoping that, with the recent change in ownership, the 'new' Graham's would be improved. Sadly, no. The fish tacos were lousy and the service painfully slow. We decided to try again on a quieter day, only to be completely ignored by the wait staff! The historical ambiance of Graham's is very nostalgic, but we feel unwelcome every time we go there. I actually overheard the owner complaining to the staff about the "passholes" from the city who were crowding her restaurant. I would think a small town like Glacier would appreciate the tourism dollars, but it seems not. Combined with the mediocre food, we are happy to eat elsewhere. read more

I am a long time fan of Grahams. My husband and I first visited Grahams on our honeymoon back in '91'. Grahams was a bit different back then, but still has that small town charm. The old wooden bar hasn't changed a bit. Big huge wood stove that they stoke throughout the day to keep you warm while you are there. Great fish tacos, and the burgers are fabulous. Not a huge menu selection, but something for everyone at least. You can even get a vegan burrito. Great beers on tap and even root beer on a help-yourself tap. You can even have a game of pool while you are there and the locals are very friendly. Grahams is not a fancy place to have a romantic dinner, but you could certainly have a good time hanging out with locals and fellow skiers/boarders. Great and fun place to hang out after a day of skiing. read more

This place has great rotating taps, and I like specials they come up with. The other day I had sliders with bacon, caramelized onion, blue cheese and apple - yum! Regular menu items are nice mix of healthier and more bar style food, done well. High quality ingredients in everything I've had. I noticed the buns in particular being good. Nice food presentation - with pretty things like hay-stacked julienned radishes. Consistently great service. The desserts are also excellent, and they change.
