On the way driving home I see a "wine tasting" sign, my friend and I decided to stop by and I'm SO glad we did! This place is awesome, and so beautiful. I was obsessed with the decor and the super friendly and wonderful staff. We even got to meet the wine maker! The flights were super affordable, only $15! I tried the red wine flight and I loved it, but the Pinot noir was my favorite. I really love that they also offer events on certain days as well. Paint and sip night is every Friday, build your own bonsai is Wednesday, and much more. This place was fantastic, I can't wait to come back! The staff made us feel right at home. Although this winery is located in an industrial warehouse area, the location was cute, inviting and clean. I liked the atmosphere and decor. There were several couples, groups of girlfriends chatting and some people setting up for an event in the back. Service was fine, we got a good description of flights and glasses. I went with the white wine flight. There were three different kinds of chardonnay and that's my fav wine, so I went for it. The flight also came with complimentary packaged breadsticks which were pretty tasty. Unfortunately, the wines went from ok to bad really quickly. The chardonnay aged in stainless was the first and the most balanced. It was not too acidic nor did it have the artificial oak taste that is all to common nowadays. The next chardonnay was more or less the same. The one aged in oak was too oak forward in a fake vanilla way. I didn't like the chenin blanc at all so I skipped to the last one, a viognier reserve which literally looked like apple cider vinegar. The smell was not pleasant and it tasted of things I can't describe. To avoid wasting wine, I went back to the chenin blanc which didn't taste so bad anymore. I could not finish the Viognier reserve. I felt bad for suggesting that my friend and I meet here. Part of wine tasting and visiting breweries is seeing what you like and don't like. Could have been an off day with off tasting wines. In the end, my friend and I left without purchasing any bottles. read more

We all ordered wine flights and really enjoyed the variety The owner made some suggestions And we bought a bottle and joined Saw the Vista magazine and read the article and thought need to check them out sometime! We stumbled upon this winery while driving. There were signs on the road for tasting so we thought, why not? Jess and Carrie were such a warm welcome when we entered. The inside is beautiful, a very organic and gentle interior. I liked that there were plants all around as I am a plant lover. We were able to get our taste on with a couple of wine flights and they did us the pleasure of waving one of our flights due to us purchasing 2 bottles. I must say, I have yet to go to a winery where ALL of the white wines were tastey. I am so serious! At least for my pallet, I found every last one of the white wines to be worthy of taking home, so we purchased a bottle of the Chardonnay, Viognier, and the Chenin Blanc. I want to mention also that I was taken by surprise when I tasted the Grenache. There were 2 and total opposite tastes but both thirst quenching to the pallet, wonderful summer beverages. We appreciated the hospitality and wine so much that we became members! [Woo hoo!] After 5 months, searching for a San Diego wine club to join, we found one. Glad to have a new wine family. CUTE CUTE CUTE! Love this place. The decoration inside is so inviting and cozy and not to mention everyone who works there is so kind and extremely knowledgeable about what they offer and all things wine. The food here is from a food truck and so its always been awesome. The service is A plus, they all are friendly. The ambiance is chill with everyone is hanging out. The 5 flight that i got was the burdorn, whisky. Tequila, run and dessert wine. My favorite is my rum wine, its a 2018 barbedos rum wine, its 2018 alexander valley cabernet sauvignon, its aged in rum barrels. The wines were so good that we took a couple bottles with us and became wine club members! Owners are so friendly and really make the experience that much better. They have a wide variety of mostly reds with a couple whites and a rosé. They serve little breadstick crackers with your tasting which is so great as you are really able to taste each wine after a bite of one. If you purchase 2 bottles you get your tasting for free. They also sell little snacks. A huge bonus is they are open till 7! read more

Friendly, affordable, relaxed. It's hard to find wine around Vista and this urban winery fills the need nicely. The staff is great, easygoing and informed. Tasting room is chill but nice. The tasting flights are great, 5 big pours of whites, reds or spirit barrel aged reds. The barrel aged flight tasted like a flight of cocktails. All wines have something to offer and the options change often. We had such a nice tasting experience we joined the club, which made our flights free and includes 4 tasting flights every month. We've since been back with family and friends. The sangria is also a reasonable $8 and delicious (additionally discounted with club). Happy to support a local winery and will be back regularly. read more

What a lovely Wine tasting room with wonderful Owners. We brought our own snacks to enjoy our first time here. Very kind and their wine flight is served in the se cute Beeker style glasses. We found a large coffee table and couch and our party of 5 enjoyed a evening of wine and stories. We enjoyed several and bought a few bottles and our friends joined the wine club. The owner also brought over a few off the menu items to sample and they were delicious reds. thank you and glad you are in Vista, I found you by reading the Vista magazine and saw you featured. What a nice, classy little place! Not sure what I was expecting but I was surprised at how nice 2Plank was. They did a great job of making it feel clean and upscale. The wines were good, I especially liked the Piste Off. If you want to try everything make sure to get the flight, it is a good way to find your favorite at a good price. They also have some cheese options for you to purchase to go with your wines. One of the owners was working and he was very nice, helpful, and friendly. read more

A friendly experience with interesting wines. A friend recommended that we try it out and the flight of wines for the night were good. I typically like Chardon a's and they did not have any, but I really appreciated all the reds that we tried. The staff share their knowledge and even opened a couple other taste for us given how we were responding to the flight samples. On Saturday night they have a painting class in the back room and it looked super fun. We learned about the other programming and we will come back. read more

I came here for a Paint Nite event, and I'm so glad they held it at this venue!!! I would've have ever thought to check this place out (tucked away in a business park area off of Sycamore and La Mirada in Vista)... I believe they've only been around for about 2 months! But I am extremely impressed by the staff. It's a small, cute wine tasting room... Exactly what you would expect. But what is super fun is that since they do hold these Paint Nite events (somewhat often I think???) they have different paintings on the walls! The staff is super sweet and funny. Atmosphere was ok. Wide open and airy but not cozy. White wines not my favorite but red wines .... LOVED! Prices were up there, but we paid it so we could take the experience home with us. Best part was that we used our "San Diego Urban Passport" to taste here. It is a really cool deal! You buy the passport ($35) and get to taste at about 13 different Urban Wineries in San Diego. The winemaker Barrett was very fun and accommodating. I drink reds and my wife drinks mainly whites, but he provided excellent service- PLUS- he gave us chalk to keep our two kids (under the age of 5) amused while we visited. Great wines, great service- we became members on the spot. read more

Nestled amongst breweries and distilleries in a Vista business park, Grafted Cellars is a hidden gem of quality wine. A family-owned Urban Winery, we source our grapes from right here in Vista, to Napa Valley, to Oregon's Willamette Valley, any AVA in between...but quality varietals from our own South Coast AVA are a priority, to showcase our local terroir and potential. Fruit is processed and aged at our in-house cellar, right behind our tasting room...we do it all right here. We take care in our selection, in harvesting, in our winemaking techniques, and focus on small-batch and minimal intervention. History

Established in 2009.

2Plank Vineyards established its roots in San Diego in 2009. After 5 years in Sorrento Valley, the tasting room relocated to Vista where it thrived for another 5 years. In the beginning of 2021 ownership changed hands, the tasting room underwent renovation, and the name was changed to Grafted Cellars. Grafting onto the solid roots 2Plank had established, Grafted Cellars hopes to grow in it's presence in the community and continue to offer amazing quality wines made right here in Vista.

I loved the decor and Nordic/Viking vibes. The friendly guy behind the counter was really helpful in my decision to go with Musashi. I took a sip and thought to myself, "Ohhh Mead INDEED!". Parking was a little bit challenging, but not too bad. Once inside, we found a tall table near the open doors to the outside so we could hear the band. The inside decor is cute and cozy. The menus were located on the table so we looked at the various options while we listened to the music. I decided on a red wine flight. You don't get to choose you just get one of each of the wines on the list. We went up to the counter to order and were attended to almost immediately. My flight of six 1 ounce pours was served, and I took it to the table. My other friends ordered a glass of wine each. The first of the two was attended to immediately as well, but the third was made to wait for a little bit longer for some reason, even though she was with us and next in line. The band was enjoyable and the sound was good. People were enjoying themselves and some dancing. I liked two of the wines I tried the rest were just ok. They don't serve food, but they did have a food truck in the back that looked good. We had already eaten, unfortunately, so we didn't try anything. It was nice evening and perfect for sitting outside. I would definitely come back again in the future.
