This ice cream shop is so clean, cute, and the workers are so friendly. My first time here and at Graeter's at any location. I wish we had one in my hometown. I was able to sample a few flavors and when I asked what was most popular, the black raspberry chocolate chip was recommended. It was really good and I ended up ordering a scope. My family ordered the mango sorbet (so good) and cotton candy (so sweet, but kid loved it). The indoor play area is really cute and looked pretty clean. They require socks, so bring a pair if you want to play or you can buy socks there. They have a drive thru and large outdoor lawn where people were eating and kids were playing. read more

This has to be the best Graeter's I've been to ... and I admit I've been to several. This is a newer Graeter's in Union. And along with having the regular ice cream flavors that are always a big hit -- black raspberry chip every day! -- this is in a complex with Braxton's Brewing and Dewey's Pizza. A large greenspace complete with DJ stand, giant screen and plenty of covered tables is between all of the businesses -- the best spot for families. Our kids were able to get their ice cream and literally run and roll around while we sat in shade and enjoyed the evening. This will be our new destination when we visit family in Northern Kentucky! And when the weather is bad, Graeter's has a large indoor play area that pretty much runs the length of the building. What a gem of a family friendly spot! read more

Using the drive through is easy and quick when you need something sweet on the go. We go inside quite often because there is a small play area for kids-- the only qualm is getting your kid to finish the ice cream before playing; you can't bring food/beverage in there. My kid does play, come out for a sip then back in. The doors are pretty heavy for little ones so be careful with Toddlers. It's usually less crowded earlier on weekdays. Service goes pretty quickly, it's usually an undecided child that creates the line :) if you have a kid, you probably already know what I mean. read more

This place was a hit. And hit the spot perfectly after some great Dewey's Pizza across the way. We got the recommendation while having pizza and man were they right. So we've been 3 of 4 nights while on our trip from CA. Would've been 4th but didn't discover too second night. The choc chips are just amazing. Our kiddos are all 8+ but man this place has the coolest play area for younger kids. The staff were friendly and easy going for the taste test. Really the ice cream is excellent and you can tell it's made with quality products. Highly recommend. read more

I haven't had Graeter's in years... Decades even since my exit from Lexington back when I was in college. When I found myself up in Florence for a work trip, I decided to relive the experience. This store is huge... Bigger than the Graeter's I remember back then in my old college town. I was impressed with how "fancy" it looked: huge storefront, a kids play area, large seating area, and multiple cash registers. I loved how they had a wide selection of ice creams with flavors I never even heard of. I laughed even to see a Skyline flavor (I know there's a huge following of the chili). I asked for a sample of it and was actually impressed with how it tasted (cinnamon and sugar, like Christmas snickerdoodle cookies). I ended up picking just a scoop of strawberry and butter pecan. It was just as good as I remember. Smooth, creamy, not too sweet, with great flavors. There were huge chunks of pecan in it. Not sure why this location got bad reviews but I'd definitely come here again. In fact, I'm coming tomorrow after dinner! read more

Chunky, Chunky Hippo for me (vanilla ice cream either peanuts and chocolate chunks. Dave had Flying Pig (vanilla ice cream with peanut butter chocolate chips). Both were delicious! I love, love, love, Graeter's ice cream. They give you the opportunity to taste the flavors prior to ordering what you want. I have been going to Graeter's since I was young, it is a Cincinnati institution and has been around since 1870! This business is a multi-generational company. The family ensures the quality of their product. They also produce bakery goods that are delicious. On this day I decided to get a cup of salted caramel chip ice cream. Caramel with chocolate bits in it and it was superb. I will continue to be a lifelong patron of this business and if you have never tried Graeter's, this location is certainly a beautiful location to try out. read more

Graeter's is an institution in this area. Having been to all other locations, getting the opportunity to try the Union location was a true blessing! I could not wait to try this for the next few months to write a review! This location has a sewage smell the moment you walk through the doors. I have not been able to tolerate the smell long enough to order inside or to truly look around for any amazing insights From the short time inside, the cases appear to be finger print free, however, the smell is overwhelming and pungent to the point of intrusive There has only been one family in the seated area every time I have visited. This is quite unusual for the typical Graeter's location. There are quite a few tables for sitting inside if you can tolerate the smell The drive thru line is usually quite long. Graeters is known for ice cream, which anyone local to the area can tell you is excellent. But I'm going to review the donuts today after visiting their new location in Union! Not surprisingly, they are also delicious. They had a great assortment to choose from for the donuts I was taking to a kids Christmas party. I didn't buy any other other pastries but there were plenty others to choose from, both individual size servings and small cake size. My son won the coloring contest last summer at this location. He was awarded with a thirty dollar gift card. When he went to go use it, we were surprised to find out that there was nothing on it, and it was never loaded. Instead of making it right, the manager made up a story that people steal gift cards at Kroger and try to use them, implying that my son was trying to pay with a stolen gift card. ‍ He gave him a free ice cream cone very reluctantly after giving us guilt in lieu of what was supposed to be his prize. So unprofessional, almost hard to believe, and a huge letdown for my son. read more

Best Graeter's ever. Very good service and better sweets. I know they're known for ice cream but the bakery at graeters is equally as good! Highly recommend their sour cream dunkers with coffee in the mid ting. The play area is great for children and the drive thru perfect for when you're on the go. 10/10! read more

The business was very clean. I was hoping for a no sugar added or low fat option, but there was none. My husband got 2 scoops in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. The bourbon pecan was very good. As a personal fan of Graeter's Ice Cream for many years, I always look forward to the next time I walk in. On this past occasion, I pulled into the drive thru at around 10:40 and asked for a milkshake like I usually do. After I asked for a milkshake, the person on the speaker told me that they weren't making milkshakes for the rest of the night. This was a major inconvenience and although it is something that seems to be minor, I have done the same thing at a different location and had no issue with getting my milkshake even when coming closer to closing time than I did on this occasion. Closing duties should come after the store actually closes and not when it's open. read more
