Stop by to this iconic location!

Cute little place! It's on a corner and parking can be a problem depending when you visit. I had stopped by on a Saturday hot afternoon and it was busy. Not much shade to hide from the blazing sun. There's food (fried foods, burgers and ice cream treats). I had gotten the milkshake. I chose to do a different flavor combo of blackberry and Oreos which was good. I mostly ordered it because I was curious if it would be good. Because it was busy, our service was short and to the point. They needed to turn our orders around quickly so they weren't very talkative. But this place is a must try whenever you're in the area!

This a cute place to eat when you're taking a break from the pond across the road. They have picnic tables outside for you to eat. The food was okay. The fish wasn't fishy. The fries were plump. I didn't care for the coleslaw. It was on the bland side. I enjoyed the strawberry milkshake. Friendly service.

For what it is, Graeagle Mountain is great. It's a roadside burger joint in a small town--I was just happy that they had a decent enough veggie burger because many small town joints do not even have vegetarian options. Their jalapeño poppers and ice cream cones were a nice way to end a fun backpacking trip.

    A line and slow service.

Stopped in for a shake after reading so many great reviews. We waited outside in the heat, in line, for 20 minutes. When we picked up our drinks they were terrible. The blackberry shake was all syrup and not much ice cream. We threw it away. The root beer freeze all root beer and hardly any ice cream. We saw several people walk away because of long wait. Disappointing. We won't be returning.

Old school venue, had throwback charm. On a trip down memory lane with a friend, we were thrilled that it's still there. We got soft serve cone-- yummy & generous servings.

Love the hometown feel concept. Food was decent and staff were professional and efficient. Get yourself a shake and enjoy the views.

This is a popular place as indicated by the line. Food was what you'd expect, but nothing special. If I come back it would probably be for the ice cream only, and that would be only if the line was short. Most if the outside tables are in the sun, and the inside tables were closed in mid-July 2021 when I visited.

Stopping at Frostee for Burgers and Fries (and Milkshakes!).

This is a great place to stop during a road trip for a good old-fashioned burger and fries lunch. Hearty, meaty, well-prepared burgers (moist and flavorful) and tasty fries. The milkshakes are really really good. Seating in the great outdoors amongst the forest trees.

We recently returned to the town of Graeagle for a short vacation. We had not been here since 2000, when we camped at nearby Plumas Eureka State Park, and remembered fond evenings with our boys at Graeagle Mountain Frostee, enjoying their ice cream and burgers (and avoiding camping grub!). We were delighted to find after 17 years Graeagle Mountain Frostee was as good as ever! We stopped here several times for both ice cream and dinners. Everything we had was great. Their chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream cones were a wonderful blast from the past (and hard to find in the foodie Bay Area). For dinners we had their burgers, fried cod and Philly cheesesteak. Naturally, I needed to try their milkshakes. Both their chocolate and strawberry milkshakes were top-notch. The fruit milkshakes are made from real fruit, and this strawberry milkshake was the best I'd ever had. Other milkshake flavors available are: vanilla, pineapple, caramel, blueberry, butterscotch and Oreo. I really would've loved to try their blueberry if I had had the time. Prices are very reasonable and service was fairly quick, especially for the ice cream. An abundance of picnic tables on the sides and back offer a lot of seating, and indoor dining is available also. A great Frostie diner - hopefully we can return much sooner than last time!

    Chocolate malt, missing the malt.

Good soft serve ice scream, which is why I gave it one star. But the lady behind the window was grumpy and nasty.

They have a variety of dogs... all beef, Italian sausage, spicy hot link, elk, bison, boar, and beyond brat (vegan). Look for the food truck in the parking lot with a Shell gas station on Highway 50. The dogs are served up plain or you can get them specialized as in a Chicago dog, Sonoran dog, chili cheese, etc. The dogs range $7.50-$15. Plus they got fries$5-13. Those too are served plain or specialized. My faves are the chili fries, Chicago dog, and New York style dog. The chili is no beans and the fries are double fried giving them an extra crispy layer of crust. I do have to tell them light on the onions and mustard because they give you a full bang for your buck and load it up. But Hubs likes it that way. I like to wash it all down with their homemade lemonade. It's the real deal, made with lemons, sugar, and water. The $6 lemonade is served up in a whomping 32 ounce container. Get this, they serve breakfast as well. You can get an egg, cheese, hash brown on an 8 inch Italian roll or bowl. $9.50. Add bacon, sausage or steak $2.50-$4.50 extra.

I can't remember the specific hotdog I got, but it had onions and peppers on top with mustard. It was pretty good. They're a bit pricey, but everything is pricy these days. John and his team have your hot dogs covered for your dining pleasure in western Placer County. It's mid afternoon, Saturday, June 07, 2025, and I'm enjoying the Rocklin Brewfest 2025 and I'm in the mood for a delicious hot dog. I've come to the right place, as Doggiestyle Hot Dogs was on site, and serving hot dogs for all to enjoy. This is a pop-up restaurant that servers hot dogs at events all over western Placer County. I went with a "Quarter Pound Nathan Dog," How can you beat that for a great hot dog? The dog began with a quarter pound Nathan's Hot Dog, which was grilled to perfection by hot dog chef John, on site, at the Rocklin Brewfest. The dog was simply perfect, and fitted perfectly with the large, fresh bun, which was a start for an amazing lunch. On to the condiments! The trip to the nearby condiment bar was worthwhile, as I added a cornucopia of condiments, including mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, sauerkraut and especially peperoncini, which is a rare treat for hot dogs. I suppose you could call my hot dog loaded? No ketchup whatsoever, as I never desecrate a hot dog by adding ketchup. Not to mention... may I say my dog was loaded with delicious condiments? One bite into the dog I was rewarded with a refreshing "snap," thanks to the natural casing on Nathan's Hot Dog, which made the hot dog both worthwhile and simply delicious. The condiments I added simply enhanced the dog, and didn't take anything away from the amazing hot dog, and the fresh bun. Such a delicious hot dog! Chef John knows how to grill a hot dog, and the Nathan's Hot Dog he grills are as good as it gets. I tip my cowboy hat to chef John, and his delicious hot dogs! Five star dining for all of you who love a delicious hot dog.
