My favorite place for a frostee when I'm visiting home. Even if it's snowing, nothing will come between me and my frostee. Plus they have dipped cones!!! Friendly service to boot. read more

Expensive for what you get...Small burger, fries, and a small drink will kill a $20 bill and then some. But the fries and burger were good on my last visit. Probably shouldn't figure on sitting inside. Ice machine broken read more

The burgers here...... oh my God. So freaking good. One of my favorite places to grab lunch, sit at the outdoor picnic tables and watch the world go by. If you don't see a large family of deer in the adjacent meadow, you will the next time you visit -- they're always there. See if you can keep yourself from ordering a shake or cone after lunch is over -- hard to pass up! read more

Whilst camping nearby this was a convenient stop on our way through town to stock up on supplies, the boys in the backseat, whining relentlessly about being hungry, thirsty, candy me this, etc. We stopped for a snack and order family size fries and sodas with a couple of ice creams. Super yummy soft serve. My son says the French fries were a solid 7 on the zero to In n Out scale. read more

We've been repeat customers for a pit stop craving of soft serve and milkshakes. Delicious and there's always a line! Highly recommend especially during a hot summer day or after dinner treat. read more

This place is busy, always busy! It's just "the" place to stop when you're passing through to go camping at one of the nearby lakes. It's one of those greasy spoon burger, fries, and ice cream joints where the food is decent and it's fun to people watch! The sundaes and malts are great and grab some curly fries for the family! Yummm read more

Great place to eat but has a long line most of the time. The soft serve ice cream is definitely worth the wait though.

Out of the 3 "frosty" stands I've been to in this area, this is the best. Maybe not 5 star best but way better than Portola for sure. I just wanted a nice cone. A small cone was just $2 bucks and hit the spot just fine. I have no idea what these yelpers are talking about when they don't like the cones here, it was just fine for me, the proper firmness, not all melting so fast, and no this isn't "real" ice cream, it's soft serve out of a machine, it never was real ice cream! It is what it is, you want some fancy gelato ..... go to a big city! I love gelato like the next person, but when out here in the sticks, have realistic expectations and you'll be fine. read more

Cute little place. Ordered a chocolate shake, burger, fries and chicken tenders. The shake was amazing, super thick cold and refreshing. Food took a little while but that's to be expected as they were busy. You can sit on the picnic tables and watch the deer while you wait! Food was hot, and delicious! Good pit stop. read more

I'm disappointed, I won't be coming back for a while. I go hiking in Graeagle every week and have been to this place a handful of times. The wait time is not worth the quality of service and food you get in return. On September 22nd my father and I decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat before our hike up to the Sierra Buttes. First off, the guy that took our order was straight up rude... even after my father signed the receipt and tipped him. Not only was the service mediocre, we didn't expect to wait 30 minutes for two orders of chicken tenders and french fries. I took a bite out of one chicken tender and realized the entire middle was RAW. I pulled apart the other two of my chicken tenders and they were raw as well! I took my basket of food up to the guy at the counter to show him the raw tenders and he went to show the cook and came back to say they would remake them. The look on their faces made it seem like the biggest hassle to remake my food. By that point, I had lost my appetite and I just wanted to go on my hike. This place really needs to step up their game a notch or two. read more

Fine for ice cream but the staff is horrible! All high school kids that ignore customers and are too busy screwing around in the back. The owner needs to hire some new people or else this place will be out of business. read more

Awesome soft serve and sundaes. The small was large and the medium was huge! I enjoyed the vanilla and my dog enjoyed the last little bit of my cone. Great treat! Will be back. read more

Nice nostalgic little place. Now, to the food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork in the bun covered only a third of it. The sandwich was heated in a microwave rather than on a grill. There was hardly any barbecue sauce and what was there was weak. The fries were unsalted and tasteless. My coke tasted "off". I had planned on getting ice cream, but after the meal, decided against it. I wish I had gone up the street to one of the other eateries that looked really good. The next morning I was glad I made it to the restroom in time. read more

I had high hopes that the new owner of this unique little Frostie would be great....but instead, it is mediocre. The small inside cafe could be so cute, but instead looks so tattered and torn and a little dirty. First few times we went there it was good, but this last time I ordered their Cod and it tasted funny and over deep fried.....I told the owner in which he tasted a piece from my plate and said, "it tastes alright to me" !! I really did expect a coupon for the next time we went there, or at least an I'm sorry you weren't happy with your meal....but nothing....it's called Good Will. Will I be back....I don't know yet. read more

I always have to stop here when I'm in Graeagle! You can't go wrong with a cheese burger, fries, and an Oreo Frostee! The employees are kind and the food comes out fast. Definitely a go-to spot for a quick meal! read more

Food tasted ok. Nothing to write home about. My brother in law, husband and nephew each got a cheeseburger and fries. 2/3 had major stomach issues later that night. My chili cheese dog was good. However, I had to eat it with my hands as they "were out of plasticwear". The shakes were thick, but not so thick my family couldn't enjoy them right away. 30+ people in line and everyone got their orders in l eass than 10 minutes. Plenty of tables to sit at if you don't mind sharing with strangers. read more

Truly a comedy of errors-if one doesn't feel obliged to eat the evidence. 2 fries and deluxe burgers with a butterscotch shake. The burgers and cold fries were served in a ripped bag which consequently shared its bounty with trampled earth. The butterscotch shake was unstirred with the intended flavor deposited in a sticky mass at the bottom of the cup. Despite this, the butterscotch paste had not congealed enough to patch the hole in its serving cup which shared its contents with the parking lot. The burger itself seemed to be a recently unfrozen patty which may or may not have contained meat. My partner said this must have been a bad day. Not sure I'm willing to risk another bad day. read more

We've been coming to Graeagle every summer for 30+ years and Frostee's is a tradition. This summer, the burgers were delicious, my son loved his corn dog and the fries were crispy and yummy. It has a gorgeous view and plenty of outdoor seating. We all finished with a Frostee cone and loved them. read more

Cold french fries with a mediocre hotdog...how do you not get french fries right!! Graeagle needs to step it up.

Great burgers! Even during the winter slow season the quality is the same. Totally worth the money.

Have eaten here before but don't remember the burgers tasting as badly as my recent experience. The meat seemed undercooked and was very mushy. I ordered the "Big Man Meal" which was supposed to be a burger with 2 1/3lb patties, large fries, and a chocolate milkshake. The fries tasted good but the quantity I was given did not appear any larger than the small order of fries others got. The chocolate milkshake tasted synthetic and I could not finish it. But the worst part was the burger. It was soggy and basically disintegrated into mush the moment I attempted to bite into it. Additionally, upon making my order and paying I was notified by the staff that there would be a half-hour wait for my meal because "someone had just phoned in an order for 30 burgers." Although I received my meal in about 5 minutes I didn't appreciate being told that it was going to take 30 AFTER I had paid. I feel because of this large phone order, my burger was hastily thrown together maybe? In any event I was not able to finish my burger or the shake because they both tasted awful. Probably won't be coming back since there are much better options elsewhere in Graeagle for the same price and better service. The fries are good though! Can't complain about those! read more

Ordered 3 orders of the Fish and Chips. They were burnt, charred, dried fish inside. Called to let them know how bad they were and were treated poorly as if we (the customer) did not matter. Very bad customer service and terrible food. We live in the area and came here a week ago prior to closing and the burgers were burned, lettuce was wilted and looked like it was a few days old, the tomatoes were flattened and soggy. We called again to let them know just how bad the food was and were informed that it was the end of the day and they gave us what they had before closing.... WTF - REALLY! They need to educate their cooks and staff on customer service and proper food service read more

Eating here is like attending a Covid super spreader event. The people who eat here are mostly masklessband don't socially distance. They appear to be mostly out of towners and don't respect the health of our area. I intend to report the restaurant to the health department for not enforcing the guidelines. read more

I've been coming to Graeagle since the 70s, and I always remember the Frostee. Only went for the cone or the chocolate dipped cone but it was always great. Went today for the first time in a few years for a cone. The girl at the window mentioned that they don't dip anymore and that their new ice cream was too "soft" for dipping. Well it's too soft and has a weird mealy texture. I think it's more like ice-milk than ice-cream. Not the Frostee cone of my youth. I think I'll skip it from now on. So sad that they changed a classic for the worse. read more

This place was just okay. I don't think I will be back, the soft serve was extremely soft and did not have a lot of flavor.

Ahhhhh....so glad they don't change some things! A relic that just brings back so many memories. Camping up at Sardine Lake, coming down into Graegle either to play miniature golf or horseback ride and then top it off with a frostie, some French fries and a burger or corn dog. Yum!! read more

Great place for Family's super fast customer service, really yummy food and ice cream. I love their soup in the Winter. Oreo shake is a bomb it's so delicious. Had the special steak sandwich it was really delicious. I definitely come back when I'm in Graeagle read more

I went on Saturday May 23rd and ordered two milkshakes, one curly fry one onion ring and one corn dog. When I received my order, the fries were spilled in the bottom of the paper bag with several packets of ketchup on top. There was no corn dog and only one shake I Went back and notified the lady who took my order and she said wait one minute and I'll get it right for you. I waited about fifteen minutes and went back received my corn dog and still no milkshake. When I tried to eat my corn dog it was frozen in the middle. At this point I went back to the ordering window with my entire order and told her they can have it all back and left. I didn't get my food or money back !! I never would recommend this place!! read more

oh no - what happened to this place? They now serve healthy gluten free ice cream that tastes watered down and not so good. And they were out of Chocolate? Its not the place it used to be in the 80's and 90's Too bad. read more

For a walk-up eatery it is more than adequate. A lot of low scores due to what I think is people expecting more of it than what it is. My wife and I always stop whether with our adult children or alone on the motorcycle for a quick refreshment or meal. We were camping in the area and stopped in for lunch. Nice area to sit outside. My husband had the philly sandwich which he said was very good. The rest of us had the cheeseburger and fry combo. Great summertime milk shake and ice cream stop. I like the caramel and chocolate shake. My wife likes the mint chip cone.

I need to preface by saying everything in the middle-of-nowhere is overpriced. That said, everything here is overpriced. We got a couple of chicken sanwiches and a root beer float. The chicken sandwich was fine, nothing special. The root beer float was good. Again, nothing special. I would like to agree with Trish's comment about classic rock playing... we had a good giggle listen to the oldies being blurted out on little tiny speakers around the place. read more

Ok guys is it just me, or was this place completely different when I was a kid?... I've been vacationing in graeagle every summer for 22 years, and we would get a cone everyday, no exceptions. I understand it's under new management... But it's not the way it used to be :( it used to be AWESOME, and now it's kinda.... Awful. I've only been here 3 days, and I've been 3 times an every time the service has left something to be desired. The first day I ordered a frostee, and they gave me a malt shake... And both the girls working there were, well less than amused to be there. Get this though... They have been out of chocolate ice cream for four days now. Not only that, they don't dip their cones anymore :( that's what you go to a frostee for, other than an actual frostee which they messed up the first time I went. A half and half dipped cone, that's what I want from a frostee. A lot of people are complaining about the prices. The prices would be fine, if they weren't so skimpy on their fries. Just sayin So I agree, service needs a little improvement, but it's the menu needs some adjustments as well. If the prices matched the portions and there were a few more options, I'm sure business would be better for them. read more

Great veggie burger! I'm hoping they will start offering veggie hot dogs and vegetarian chili too.
