As a patient I'm already stressed and I have several health issues and to be inconvenienced does not allow for me to be a "happy" patient. If I do everything in my power to be responsible and show up on time. I do have the right to expect quality service. To boot when I brought my husband for an ER visit and they kicked me out of the room when I'm his wife. They did not ask nicely! I'm stressed because I had to bring my husband in for heart issues it only takes a moment to be kind. So I scheduled my yearly mammo. I get a lovely text telling me the where and when etc. I arrive 15 minutes as requested. The text I received said to go to suite 230! So I go up there the offices are closed and there isn't anyone at a desk or anything. So I have to come back downstairs and ask where to go. I asked nicely but got some pushback.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY. I had to take my…read moreadult son here. His family doctor thought he had testicular torsion and recommended we go here. He had been having pain for a week on and off and then it took a turn for the worse. He started vomiting. He felt slightly better so we went to the family doctor instead of straight to an ER. We got right in and everything seemed to be going well. They came and did an ultrasound. Then he was admitted. (Yes AFTER THEY DID THE ULTRASOUND) We waited for over 2hours for the results of the ultrasound even though we were told it wouldn't be more than an hour. With testicular torsion, every minute counts. We were told results from the ultrasound sound were negative. (Thankfully) They were going to send us home with a pain medication rx and a referral to a urologist if things don't clear up. I had to tell the dr that things aren't going to get better for him. They've only been getting worse this whole week. What else can we do? The Dr was a little frustrated with me and said well we can run some blood work and do a CT SCAN. If that doesn't work we can send him to the ER. We decided to go with that option. The tech was new and came to draw blood. Blood started squirting everywhere. They got it under control but I never want to see the inside of these walls again. It's nice and new, but that's where it's good side ends. We waited for well over two more hours for those results. Dr came in and said tests were inconclusive. No elevated white blood cells, no kidney stones, nothing. They could send us to the hospital ER, but no one would probably see us there tonight. So we took our referral and went home. This was late on a Friday. Monday morning rolls around. Call into urology and get in to see a nurse practitioner. She lets us know that there are cysts and his white blood cell count was elevated. She believes that the cysts are infected. The Dr at the ER had told us that they were not elevated. The NP showed us on his chart that not only were they elevated, but that they were highlighted yellow on the chart while we were at the ER! If I would've known what we know now, I would've skipped this place altogether. This is NOT an EMERGENCY ROOM. There's nothing urgent about this place, except that it should be shut down. This is a disgrace of a "medical facility". How Ohio Health lets it have their name attached is beyond me. They should be ashamed. This is a cash cow for them and you will be treated as such. We will avoid this place and every other free standing EMERGENCY room from now on. This place is a joke and unfortunately the joke was on us at the price of my son's health and our wallet.

By law in Ohio, doe's he and his office have to have the list of meds I take? When is it my responsibility to have the list every office visit? His nurse was trying to get the info from my pharmacy. Doesn't he have to have this info? So, I leave the appointment because he has me in tears and have had enough of his treatment towards me. So, he drops me as a patient. So you can add to the list about, excepts not responsibility for his actions (otherwise ARROGANT). Lastly, my next to last visit he put me on a statin for my "High" cholesterol. I asked about changing my diet first, in which his reply "that will not lower it enough to make a difference." First time I have ever had a doctor round about basically tell me to keep eating poorly because I want you on more pills! Got the prescription but never took any of the pills! Instead, I changed my diet. In 4 months, my cholesterol numbers are down, and yes far enough! He does not listen, he does not care, he should not be anyone's physician! Will never recommend and would give ZERO stars.

This one is for the ladies…read more.. For no other reason other than convenience, I decided to try a different location for my annual mammogram screening as this location is in close proximity to my office. Lesson learned and the hard way. I typically go to the Africa Rd. Westerville location because it has a history of exceeding every one of my expectations, so this new (to me) location has much to live up to. The good... The staff who checked me in at the reception area was friendly and efficient. I was seen promptly at my appointment time. The bad... The mammography technician at this location could use some refinement. While this process is never comfortable, it should also never be quite so painful. I feel that some of this may have been due to her failing to adjust to my height (or lack thereof) which I expressed a few times in hopes of increasing my comfort level, but to no avail. As I mentioned previously in a tip, each individual specialty has separate entrances that are not marked clearly (or hidden behind bushes) which led me to enter one entrance to be directed back outside, down a path to another entrance. (I. E. sleep center, cancer care, breast care, work health...). Allow plenty of time for the confusion. Unlike other locations prior, I didn't receive any reminders or helpful information. The ugly... As women know, we are not to apply deodorant prior to our mammograms. This is the only location that I have ever been to that did not provide any type of cleaning wipes before or deodorant (spray or individual applications) for after. Finally, it was somewhat of a sterile environment compared to the almost zen spa atmosphere at other places.

I don't typically go to little clinics in lieu of my PCP. Given I couldn't get in to see my PCP…read moreuntil Friday, and I was desperate, I made an appointment to be checked over. My PCP was concerned that I could have an infection in my mastoid process given my symptoms. I relayed my plan to her and she was on board since she couldn't see me (discussed via MyChart). The pain behind my ear due to inflammation was horrible. I also couldn't get into my ENT before Monday. I have used little clinic before and this is the first time I've had such an unpleasant experience. (Appointment was for 11/29 at 3:30) Anyway... check-in experience was great! I can't remember the lady's name at the desk but she seemed to give more of a damn than the CNP I sat down with. In fact, I spent more time with her than the CNP. Overall, I spent MORE time waiting to be seen than I did with the CNP. I also didn't receive paperwork for my visit. Nor a follow-up email and it doesn't look like my PCP received anything, either. The CNP looked in both of my ears and told me the pain I was experiencing was due to a virus. Told me I had no swelling behind my left ear. That in this case it's ALWAYS a virus and that I would need to treat the symptoms with Sudafed over DayQuil because it "works better". She said she would not give me antibiotics because I had some for a sinus infection last month (advised her of this at the start, and that I didn't finish them due to everything I had going on during the time- I just simply forgot and only had 3 left) I walked out, I told her it was unacceptable and that this pain was unreal (to me; it's always subjective). I never received paperwork. It doesn't look like my PCP received anything either. I ended up at the MC ER since I didn't feel like fiddling with another "urgent care" environment and wanted to be absolutely sure this wasn't a mastoid process issue. Don't judge me for the ER trip, I don't exactly like going to ER's for ear aches but I had no other choice. WHO wants to pay that kind of $$ for an ear issue?! Not me! The doctor came in, looked in my ears and said "looks to be quite a bit of swelling and irritation on the left side and the right side looks like it's well on its way too. You also have some inflammation behind your ears". I had not told them of my little clinic visit because I wanted to see what they would say without that info. I ended up getting a CT scan of my head to make sure the mastoid process was clear (doc wanted it to be absolutely sure). MC ER gave me a steroid shot in an IV, along with a more powerful Motrin (they described it this way) also in the IV. I finally started feeling relief within 10 minutes. I felt almost 100% by the time I left. Also ended up with antibiotics AND ear drops because not only do I have an ear infection in both ears, it's also affecting the inner and outer ear portions of the ear. If I'm not feeling better within 3 days, it's highly likely I will need to be admitted for stronger, IV antibiotics. My lymph nodes were also swollen and was likely the cause of the pain. I have no vision in my head that little clinic is supposed to be perfect and solve my issues. They just don't have the diagnostic equipment there for everything, nor the medicine of an ER. However, what I did expect was more than a few moments and insistence that my ears were fine when they absolutely were not. It's like she just didn't care. And I know part of this is due to my own negligence the first round of antibiotics but heavens, it isn't like I just did it on purpose. Mastoid process infections are serious. And symptoms shouldn't be ignored. I had all the symptoms.

Horrible check-in experience at the Little Clinic in Delaware. Signed up using the computer…read morecheck-in, put my phone number so I could shop while I waited. After checking the wait list on the monitor several times and being a person away still, I walked up the closest aisle to the clinic. When I came back my name was no longer on the wait list. I checked with the receptionist and she said I did not leave a contact number and that she called out for me 15 minutes ago. I was not gone for 15 minutes, and had put a number on the computer Check in process. I told her it was annoying that I got bumped and asked if I could still be fit in. She rudely told me yes. She took my information told me to wait and proceeded to take another person a head of me. This makes me leary of how I will be treated once I actually get to see a nurse. Once seeing the nurse the visit went well and they were really helpful. They treated me with professionalism and efficiency. Just be sure you physically check in with the receptionist to make sure they have a contact number on file if you decide not to wait right there at the Clinic.
