One of the worst medical experiences I have ever had. There was no registration person thereafter they told me remote registration person was not responding. I could not get the online registration too work, and numerous people who came in after me ​were called back. I asked the nurse if there was someone who could help me get registered, she very defensive and eventually went Ballistic. Yelling through the hallway that I had yelled at her. Which I did not. She felt that me saying in a normal voice " is there really no one here who can help me?" I got a few minutes with doctor, who was very calm and helpful. He walked out to a room nearby and the nurse was yelling loud enough for me to hear it in my room and all the patients in the waiting could as well. I got sai to the doctor I'm done here and left I have extensive counseling training and in my opinion, this woman is mentally ill and should not be treating patients. I believe she will put patients in danger. read more

Refusing to see someone because this company entered in the wrong insurance from previous visit and demands payment before being seen is ridiculous. Refusing to run the proper insurance but demand hundreds of dollars for something my insurance covers, before you will see my children is unacceptable. They are not equipped to even check the eye pressure ( tonometer) even though claiming to treat eye problems,an I called to make sure, so this was wasted time and $, and they don't have doctors on staff, just nurses,so my husband was sent to the ER, as if we don't know that we can go there but we came to their facility based on advertising that they treat eye problems, so that was false. read more

My PCP wasn't able to see me until the following week when I was suffering with a bad sinus infection. I went to this clinic as a walk-in and was seen within 10 minutes and the doctor as well as all staff were amazing! Very caring and willing to listen to my symptoms and get me the meds I needed. Signed up for a rapid COVID test. Firstly, I needed to change my card I was paying my co-pay with and the receptionist sent me to voicemail after the nurse forwarded me. Then she was rather rude once I called back, as if she had not just ignored my call. My co-pay was also $50, when I could've gotten free testing at CVS. Next, they were 20 minutes late starting my test, which would've been fine except for the doctor was incredibly weird and rude. He started off asking me how it was possible that his mask smelled first thing in the morning. I don't know about you, but that's not exactly reassuring to hear from your doctor who's giving you a test. He said, and I quote, that "it smelled like spiced cider." I was actually quite pleasant despite the weird comment and tried to make conversation, but he immediately was rude once I explained why I was there. I told him I had tested positive a few weeks ago and wanted to make sure I was negative before visiting any family and friends. He sarcastically told me if I had no symptoms I was fine, then made snide comments all throughout my swab, making me feel stupid. For example, I have acrylic nails, which made it difficult for him to read my oxygen and blood pressure and pulse, so he made a joke about the fact that I had no pulse. I proceeded to put my fingers up to my neck to check myself as well, and he actually laughed at me, as if I was stupid for wanting to feel my own pulse. By the end of it my eyes were watering from how hard he shoved the swab up my nose and I was disoriented as he was hurrying me to move. I accidentally put my car in reverse because he was trying to get me out of there so fast and I wanted to get out of there because of how awful the whole experience was. He actually proceeded to make another rude comment about that. Really did not enjoy this experience from start to finish. I understand this is stressful for medical personnel but I'd like to be safe and healthy and I don't appreciate receiving condescending comments and rude remarks. I never received a shred of respect from the moment I pulled in, and for no apparent reason. Very disappointing. Hope others have better experiences. read more

I was there twice for coughing. Cause my family doctor was not available. First time did not get the right medicine (antibiotics) but a bunch of craps treatments. First didn't get it right. I understand. Two days later my caught was getting really bad . I went back for another treatment. Another doctor ( nurse practitioner) treated me with out even look at my throat. Same bunch of craps treatments. And wrong antibiotics. The next night I was caughting to deach could not even breath . I was rush to the hospital by my wife. I was giving some medicine during staying there and went home 4 hours later with antibiotics name amoxicillin very common medicine for uperrapertory infection. I was good few days later. I would never go there and recommend this to anyone. It still cost me about three hundred dollars with insurance. read more

We thought my son broke his arm so came to this location. I was so pleased with the visit that I got everyone's name and told them I would be writing my first yelp review. Ms. Bree was the first contact, she got all our information and then told us about how long we would be waiting. Her estimate was within 5 minutes and I did appreciate having that information. We saw two nurses, Leslie and Erica, who I would recommend. Both were very thorough explaining everything and I never felt rushed. Dr. Joseph was able to diagnose my sons injury and treated him. This doctor has a very upbeat personality which helps. He also seemed very knowledgeable, at least with my sons injury. He gave my son lots of recommendations on how to prevent this type of injury in the future. Although I hope I never have to go back, but if I do, this would be the location I would go to. read more

Visited Wedgewood Urgent Care for a covid test and had a fantastic experience! I signed up and made an appointment online - I did have to wait a day to get an appointment so just be warned that they fill up pretty quick. I filled out all my paperwork - insurance etc. online. When I got to the urgent care for testing, a nurse called me, took down my information, and had me get in line for drive-through testing. The process itself was maybe 5 minutes max for the test itself. About an hour later they called me with the results! So quick and efficient. I would go back here in a heartbeat again...super pleasant staff and quick service. Thank you! read more

Scheduled my college student an appointment at the Wedgewood Urgent Care on a Sunday right before close. The receptionist Amber was very nice and helpful as was the PA Lori who examined my son. My son was diagnosed with the flu and a script was called in. It was not until I got home and found out the pharmacy that used to have 24 hour service no longer is open on Sunday. I jumped in the car and went back to the Urgent care where I was able to catch Amber. She was so helpful as was Lori in writing the script out so I could take it to a pharmacy once I found one open. I broke a toe! I mean I did it up right as in breaking it to a 45 degree angle from my foot break. PAIN! Hubs took me here after we cleared up with insurance that they were in network (no need to have the extra shock of the extra bill added to the pain) and dropped my hobbling body off in front while he went to park. They saw me trying to hobble in and came out to greet me with a wheel chair - thank you! Did the paper work, showed cards, and waited not very long to be taken back to x-ray. Radiology on site - bonus points there - verified it was broken. Was then rolled into a waiting room where they took the vitals and I waited a bit for the doctor. Doctor came in wearing a mask which caught me off guard but she told me she was wearing it because she was sick. That didn't make me feel all that good but I was in pain and wasn't caring much. Was told it was broken, where it was broken, what to do, how long it would take to heal, etc. Nurse came in and wrapped me up and put me in this ugly shoe thing and wheeled me out with instructions on what to do and a scrip for pain meds. Would I go back here if I had to? YES Do I want a reason to go back? NO! read more

I've gone here several times since living in the area as it's usually more convenient than trying to schedule a time in with my primary care doc. Everyone here at this facility had always been very kind and knowledgeable. And it's honestly affordable if you happen to be between insurance as I was when I got ill and needed to see someone. And they also bandaged and glued up my husbands head well when he cracked it open doing something silly. Will miss being able to attend this facility once we move. read more

What a great experience for an urgent care. We just moved to Powell and used this urgent care twice in the past two weeks. Both experiences could not have been better. I am used to waiting 2 hours for urgent care at least. I was in and out both times in 45 minutes or less. The staff was polite, quick and kind. My family has visited this location different times and normally did not have any issues. However, I brought my daughter in around 3:45pm and no one was there in the front. We sat and waited for quite awhile, until I got up and walked back behind the double doors. I informed them there was no one out here and the female informed me she was at the bank!! To just sign in and sit and wait for her to come back!!! Really? This is an URGENT CARE. This situation was not Urgent but it could have been....or could someone else had an emergency situation. As with other reviewers, I am used to a 1.5-2 hr wait in urgent cares. I showed up at Wedgewood Urgent Care after fracturing my right great toe. I was immediately offered a wheel chair to get the weight off my foot. Paperwork took less than 10 minutes. Then I was wheeled to an exam room where the tech took my vital signs and a history of the injury. I was seen by the Medical PA, again in less than 10 minutes, who examined the toe and ordered X-rays. The Medical PA returned shortly after, explaining that not only was the toe fractured, the bone was shattered. Because the nail was forced loose of the nail bed along the inner edge, she said it's considered an open fracture; very prone to infection. They dressed the open area with antibiotic ointment, then wrapped the toe very snuggly, which did decrease the pain slightly. They gave me a slip shoe, which keeps the foot from flexing down onto the toes, and an initial shot of antibiotic, providing me with a follow up prescription for a week's course of antibiotic. I was advised to see the podiatrist as soon as possible and to be non-weight-bearing. Throughout the visit, everyone was gentle and respectful. A staff person remained with me until my daughter could pick me up (I had driven to the urgent care). read more

I was thrown from a golf cart and landed on my stomach and smacked my jaw into the street up at Lake Erie. I came back home since there are really no urgent care medical facilities up at the lake. I went CVS minute clinic where they cleaned me up (they were great!) and then told me to go to Wedgewood Urgent care. The Wedgewood facility is nice and clean and I only waited a few minutes. When I was taken back to the room I told the nurse what had happened and she took the steri strips off my chin that CVS had put on so they could see the cut under my chin and I also had a cut above my top lip. After the nurse left the room I could hear the nurse and a man discussing me and they both sounded irritated that CVS had sent me to them, that there was nothing they could do for me since the accident had happened more than 12 hours prior to me being seen. The doctor then came in and I again discribed how I was riding on a golf cart that had bad breaks that went down a hill and around a corner and I was launched into the street smacking my chin on the street. I told him my entire head hurt, I was shaking I was in so much pain. He had me lay back, he looked at the cut under my chin and the cut on my top lip and he said there was nothing he could do because it had been more than 12 hours since the accident and then he was done. The nurse came back in put some noesporin on my chin and a regular bandaid and then I went home. The next day I went to my doctor who took one look at me and sent me to Riverside for x-rays. It turns out that I have a clean break on the right side of my jaw and a slight dislocation on the left side! THANKS FOR THE BANDAID FOR MY BROKEN JAW!!! I called Wedgewood and told them not to bill my insurance, which they did. They told me they were going to look into what happened and get back with me. I've not heard back. I have also filed a complaint with my insurance company against Wedgewood. read more

She was so pleasant, patient, and efficient. The nurses and doctor were also kind and listened well. I am so glad to have found this place. A+ in my book! read more

I was having a medical issue that I was concerned about. My doctor's office was not open and did not want to wait through the weekend to reach someone. Rather than going to an emergency room (which I did not think was warranted), I tried out this local Urgent Care. They did not appear busy as there was only two cars in the parking lot out front. Receptionist was a bit impersonal. Handed me some forms to fill out and then disappeared for what felt like quite a while. Eventually, someone came to the door and called out my name. The nurse took some vitals and then I sat in the privacy room for what felt like quite a long time. The nurse practitioner that reviewed my case with me was cordial and professional. However, I cannot say that the practitioner instilled a lot of confidence. The practitioner made some observations and gave me some ideas and prescription to try. Suggested if the foot condition did not clear up to contact my primary care doctor. I think what I did get out of the situation was that the infection was not as bad as I had feared it was becoming. That did give me some peace of mind. read more

The staff at WUC gets 5 stars. They've patched us up well every time we've been there. I have to take a star off because their big corporate billing/payment system is terrible. You could pay at WUC, but WUC can't print you out a statement (which I had to have in order to submit for reimbursement on a supplemental insurance plan). You could pay online, but only if you check the box on their billing website that says that you agree to their terms of service, which the site can't tell you ("file not found" message pops up when you click the terms of service link). You should be able to print a statement online as well, but a week after my credit card was billed, their website still says that I haven't paid. After three phone discussions over the course of a week with three different billing customer service associates, the last customer service associate did me a solid and printed off a statement showing that I paid and snail mailed it to me. read more

I called at 8:40 to inquire about my insurance. Even though I was right around the corner, I was told they wouldn't help me, as they take last sign-in at 8:45. I explained that I had a 3 month old infant, had been up all night, and couldn't miss anymore work. They told me they open at 9 tomorrow morning. At that rate, I will go to my regular doctor office. Kudos to CVS Pharmacy for providing some helpful suggestions, as week as taking 2 minutes to about about my newborn! read more

This location is very unprofessional. Both the front desk receptionist and the doctor denied a sick child care because "they had to get home." The office did not close until 6. My niece arrived at 5:55 only to be told they were already closed. The sign clearly says 6pm! I understand it's a Saturday and it was 5 minutes before closing BUT it was a sick child! 5 minutes of your time people! I will never go back to this location and I will influence others not to as well. read more

I recently visited Wedgewood Urgent care for an illness. I have been there several times in the past, but this will be my last. Twice previously I was unnecessarily sent to the hospital. The ER doctors were confused as to why I was there seeing as I had no history of any illnesses of this type. As for this trip, I had been quite miserable for a few days, and knowing my own body and symptoms, I assumed I was suffering from a sinus infection. My wait was not long and the staff was pleasant. I was seen by a nurse practitioner who, in a nice way, basically told me to suck it up and let it run it's course. I have to be forced to go to the doctor and I am far from being a hypochondriac. I was sent out with instructions to rest and drink lots off water as well as take random OTC's. Knowing in my gut this was wrong, I immediately called for an appointment elsewhere and shocker, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection!! Had I taken their advice, I would have been miserable for another 5 days. Though the staff is nice, save yourself the time and money and go to a legitimate health care facility.
