I have been going to this practice for past 11 years . My old PCP retired with whom I had a very good experience. Unfortunately, I had to switch to another physician in the practice. Last October, during my physical , my new doctor, Aroub Y Shanaah, made a mistake with my blood order. Because of that mistake, I had to go through so many channels in order to have this remedied. I felt like it was negligence on her part. So, I had to take additional time off for a second blood work screen. I asked the nurse to Dr. Shanaah, Evelyn, to fax the bio metrics form to the respected fax number as a priority. Otherwise, I would have missed the deadline. She replied that she was unsure as to whether she could do this, and if time permitted, she may be able to do this by the end of the day. Wow!! A physician at this practice totally messed up this blood order and I was made to feel like I was putting others out!
Furthermore, when I called the Ohio Health patient representative center, they made a note of my concerns and gave the facility a call. The patient representative manager (from the clinic Rafeal) called and apologized on behalf of the physician/practice stating that the physician had surely missed some vital information and said they were going to take care of this issue.
So back in April, I called and noted that I no longer wanted to be seen by Dr Aroub Y Shanaah and requested another PCP in the practice. I had already contacted a patient representative from Ohio Health and was assured that their were PCP in the practice that were accepting new patients.
Specifically, Dr. Mandy Phung and Dr. Amanda Alzayed( as I preferred a female doctor) . In fact, according to the practice website, they are accepting new patients. I tried to make an appointment for either physician but received a call from the clinic manager stating that neither physicians was accepting new patients. I was told that the only PCP that could assist me was Dr. Aroub Shannah. Someone that I no longer trust with my medical care! I just simply want to switch to another doctor in that same facility. However, I feel like they are treating me more based on my creed, color and sadly feel very discriminated. read more
