This Ulta, mainly the location, is a hit and miss. I mean this in two different ways…read more First, staffing is either nice or just meh. When I was in the store about a week ago, the staff were super friendly and helped me pick out products that I've had a difficult time deciding on. I went into the store today and the girl at the register was like a robot from a Radiohead song--just flat toned and it seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Second and lastly, the parking lot is ATROCIOUS. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. People just speed through and I've almost gotten hit while walking multiple times, with today being the worst. I was walking out to my car and someone in an SUV was backing up (pretty sure this car had a backup camera and they just weren't looking) and almost hit me while I was walking. I got into my car, was backing up (rear view camera was clear--as well as looking around), and sure enough, the same SUV just speeds right behind me and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid backing into them. Also, with all the theft that goes on in this strip mall, it should be monitored by security. I've had better luck at other Ulta locations and even though this one is closer, I'm going to take my business somewhere else that's less congested with idiot drivers and consistent staff.

I recommend my patients go to her as well as it is a high quality massage for a great price.

I went for a couples massage here. Only speaking on behalf of my experience, not my partners…read more Helen was the woman who was assigned to massage me. She made me extremely uncomfortable with the words and tone she chose to use during my massage. She said things (verbatim) like "Relax. Im not going to bite you" when she felt I apparently wasnt relaxing my shoulders enough. This was said twice for both shoulders. She seemed annoyed whenever I asked to change the amount of pressure she was using. She did not focus at all on my lower back, where I stated I had the most pain. The massage she did on my upper back was very interrupted and fair at best. The final straw for me was when she was getting agitated and annoyed at me that I wasnt moving my leg down slow enough in this apparent hip release thing she was trying to do. After the third time of me trying to do this she became louder with her tone and clearly irritated at me as she yelled "GO SLOWER" with my leg (no joke) and I had literal tears in my eyes from the way she was talking to me. I stopped the massage then and there at 60 min (was supposed to be 90). I didnt want her touching me anymore. Who wants to stop a massage? Clearly someone who is uncomfortable with the way they are being, touched, treated and talked too. There were red flags from the beginning that I wish I would have walked out even sooner. Helen was dumbfounded I wanted to leave and instead of asking how to make me more comfortable or even offering an apology-she gaslighted me to make me feel like I was the problem and she was doing nothing wrong. Hoping maybe after seeing this review they might change how they speak with their clients . I surely won't be back and will not be afraid to speak up and let others know about my horrible experience here.

I went to Sweet Tox hoping to get some help with the forehead lines that had started to bother me…read more The goal was to smooth these as much as possible, without actually altering any other part of my face. I can see why everyone talks about how adorable and trendy this place is - such a cute interior packed with pink, fluffy couches, and bright decor! I found the woman at the front desk to be super friendly and helpful. She welcomed me, gave me a run down, snapped some photos, and gave me overall positive vibes. The gal who took me back for the injections though, kind of the opposite, as she didn't seem all that jazzed to be there. For a first timer (me), I'd hoped for a little more welcome, excitement, and assurance from the person putting needles in my face I guess. It was a quick session, only 10 minutes or so, and very limited pain. It was made clear that I wouldn't see any differences for at least 1-2 weeks. That was indeed correct. By day 8/9 I started to see some smoothing out of the lines (yay). By 2.5/3 weeks however, I starting having negative results: extreme upper eye puffiness and swollen/hooded eyelids. Since then, I've had to wake up every morning and try to massage my face to such a degree in attempt to get rid of the lymphatic fluid that's clearly stuck there as a side effect. Shout out to my gua sha for all the help! In doing some research, this exact scenario has been a negative botox side effect for plenty of others, which just confirmed to me that this should not be happening. It's taken so much effort every single day to try to elevate this puffiness, and I've been super bummed about it to say the least. And yes it's been noticeable to those close to me that know my eyes aren't normally hooded/puffy. I did reach out to the business, and their response was very kind- they made a clear effort to support me and make it right! However, more botox to fix my issue just wasn't going to be a yes from me after being slightly traumatized, and in general I'd rather let time pass (this side effect fade), and not look back. Sharing my experience not at all to spread negativity about the business, but instead to share the friendly reminder to do your research, follow your gut, and know that there are of course risks when having any kind of cosmetic work done. Sweet Tox seems beloved by many, which is wonderful as it's a local business, but personally that was a first & last for me.
