I had a Groupon for a 90-minute massage with hot cocoa and paraffin…read more The door was open when I came up to the 3rd floor where the room is located. Irena was doing paperwork (?) on the counter with her back to the door and when I walked in and announced myself, she kept her back to me and acknowledged me. But it wasn't a welcome you'd expect from a business. I thought it was weird, since all the reviews said she was friendly and chatty. My first impression was that she was uninviting. She turned around once to tell me to fill out her form, then went back to doing her paperwork. And then there was silence for the next few minutes as I filled out the forms. When I finished, she finally came over, took down my Groupon, and turned into a different person. lol. Just like everyone else said, she was chatty! By the time I left, I felt like I knew her whole family and history. I didn't mind. I'm ok with listening, as long as I'm not asked a lot of questions. She began with the hand paraffin. I've gotten them done before and it's always just a meh for me. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I got it since it was included in the Groupon, but I wouldn't buy it otherwise. Then she stepped out while I undressed and got on the massage table. It was heated to a very comfortable temperature. I wish she had provided a towel-robe, but I'm not too shy and she kept me well covered throughout the massage. The massage itself was superb. I had some crazy knots on my back because I haven't gotten a proper massage since covid and she really worked those out. I had mentioned they were problem areas before starting, and she really spent the time to take it taken care of. I was sore for two days afterwards, but in a good way. As she was quite talkative, I did mutter some uh-huh's and lol's and aww's. And asked her a few questions. But I held myself back from asking questions after the first two, because she got excited and answered my questions, but stopped the massage to respond. Oh, and per covid, she kept her mask on through the whole session. I was given the option to keep it on or off. As for the hot cocoa, she didn't offer it until I asked for it. So it's not like she has it ready for you at any time. Not sure whether she remembers that the Groupon includes it. But when I asked for it, she took out her coffee pot and cocoa mix to make me a cup. I was actually just thirsty after the massage, so when I saw that she was going to start making the hot cocoa after I asked for it, I asked her if she just had a bottled water I could drink instead, and she was very happy to give me a bottle. Even offered 2. And said that she could still make the hot cocoa if I wanted it. I was warm and soft and all I really wanted was the water, so that's all I took though. All in all, not your upscale, posh experience, but a great massage with strong hands.

It's been about a year since my last visit to Skn Bar, and this time around the experience did not…read moredisappoint! I've been wanting to get a chemical peel for sometime now, and decided to give it a try here. For those who don't know, a chemical peel facial essentially removes layers of skin to help improve the appearance of wrinkles, acne, scars, uneven skin tone... all things my skin is in need of. A whole skin resurfacing, if you will. I saw Riley, who was a new-to-me aesthetician, and I really enjoyed her! She did a fantastic job of walking me through the entire process of a chemical peel. From the facial procedure itself, so what after steps will look like, and how to care for my skin during all of it. Apparently your skin can tingle and burn to a degree while getting this done, as they are using some stronger acid blends working to enhance the skin clarity. I personally didn't feel much burning sensation at all, but Riley is there with a fan to help cool the process. The peel application didn't take more than 25/30 minutes (which surprised me), but I was in and out. With chemical peels, it's expected that your skin will literally "shed" over the course of a week or so, allowing new skin cell turnover and the smoother skin below to surface. I'm on day four since I had this done and today is the first day I'm really started to see the shedding. Is it cute? No. But is it working? Absolutely. My skin is even purging a bit, which just proves the treatment it working really deep, pulling out crap, dirt, bacteria, etc. I've also already noticed a difference in texture, as it's looking smoother. I'll plan to go back in 4 or 5 weeks for another peel treatment, as recommended to meet my goals of really healing my skin from the acne scarring, poor texture, and hyperpigmentation. For once I'm excited about results!!

I called half way through the day to see if there was any opening later that afternoon, the front desk lady said yes! When I walked in, she took me to the back room, and asked what areas she should focus on. I stated that since I am right handed, I tend to overwork this side of my body. Once I laid down on the table, she popped my back within five seconds. I have never had any masseuse do this. She really focused on areas of my back that were tense. Furthermore, she asked me a few times if the pressure was good, which I really appreciate! After the 45 minute session, I asked if we could increase it by 15 more minutes because I had fallen asleep! It was amazing! She stretched my legs and arms! After the session was over, she gave me a water bottle! She also explained to me how I can stretch my back at home and what I can do to relieve mild tension. I really appreciated her time and expertise! I had a wonderful experience here and look forward to returning!

She offered to use a CBD Hemp oil and I'm so glad she did because the combo of her message and the oil made a huge difference. Josie was also very chill, fun to chat with, and made me feel so comfortable. Her studio is relaxing and very convenient to get to- tons of easy/free parking- I got a great spot right in front of the paint store which her studio is located above. I had a little bit of trouble booking my appointment online (because I am pretty bad with technology- I don't think it was her system) So I gave her a call and she was able to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment than what was listed online which was even more convenient for my schedule. All in all, if you are looking for a great masseuse in Milwaukee, look no further- Josie is the person to see!!!

David is the best!!…read more I was walking by Thursday evening and decided to make an appointment. When I entered, I noted that they have a member/non member promotion, but I wanted to see if I would like my experience before committing to anything long term. The front desk receptionist mentioned that if this is my first massage at Elements, I would receive $20 off! So I signed up for a massage the next day, Friday, at 7:15 pm! When I walked in for my appointment, I had a temperature check and a health questionnaire. On their new client form, they allow each client to specify certain areas that they would like the masseuse to focus on and they get our consent. I have never signed a form like this, but I really appreciate this! I was not in the waiting room for long before David called my name. We walked into the hallway and I was given the first room on the right. The room was clean, and dimly lit. David also asked me if there were any areas that I would like to focus on as well. He made sure to check in with me if the pressure was good or painful. We did chat for a bit, he was super friendly! I did find myself very relaxed and appreciative of his time! I certainly look forward to returning. At this time I'm not sure if the membership promotion is for me, but I will certainly book with David again!
