We got a membership for our daughter, but had to cancel when her schedule became too busy. I did this in person, with ease and without pressure, which I greatly appreciated. I'm confident she will go back in the future, as her experiences have always been positive. My recent experience was with Jamie, who did an ANAZING job! I was desperately in need of a deep tissue massage, and she put everything she had into helping my muscles let go and relax. I would not recommend getting a massage subscription to this location. You will have a very difficult time booking an appointment, especially if there are specific therapists that you want to schedule. If you're lucky enough to book a session in under 30 days, you have a 50/50 chance they'll call you to cancel it for some reason. Your therapist no longer works there, has changed hours etc. You're better off going to the Pfister and getting a spa massage. Awful experience so don't waste your time or money here. read more

They ask you to fill out an intake form. And on there I put I have eczema. When the guy was massaging me he kept asking are you sure this is eczema. And then proceeded to barely touch my legs and feet (as that's where the eczema is). I said I know what it is I got it checked out by a doctor. Then after the appointment he said he thought it was ringworm. I get being concerned for his safety, but I wrote on the intake form which I'm assuming he never looked at. Will not be going back. In the sales pitch they tell you they will cancel the membership at anytime, with 30 days notice. I should have known better. It took more than 30 days for them to stop charging my card. I walked in and gave them written notice (more than 30 days notice) that I could no longer have massages due to a skin condition/ infection. they stated they needed 30 days notice - I accepted this. However, After 30 days I was charged a second time. I've contacted them again about this charge, they promise the revolving charges are cancelled. David is the best!! I was walking by Thursday evening and decided to make an appointment. When I entered, I noted that they have a member/non member promotion, but I wanted to see if I would like my experience before committing to anything long term. The front desk receptionist mentioned that if this is my first massage at Elements, I would receive $20 off! So I signed up for a massage the next day, Friday, at 7:15 pm! When I walked in for my appointment, I had a temperature check and a health questionnaire. On their new client form, they allow each client to specify certain areas that they would like the masseuse to focus on and they get our consent. I have never signed a form like this, but I really appreciate this! I was not in the waiting room for long before David called my name. We walked into the hallway and I was given the first room on the right. The room was clean, and dimly lit. David also asked me if there were any areas that I would like to focus on as well. He made sure to check in with me if the pressure was good or painful. We did chat for a bit, he was super friendly! I did find myself very relaxed and appreciative of his time! I certainly look forward to returning. At this time I'm not sure if the membership promotion is for me, but I will certainly book with David again! read more

I still go to Elements monthly. Being on the wellness program ensures that I am doing the right thing for me, which is getting regular massage therapy sessions. We're all stressed out, so we NEED to take care of that stress, and this is one way to do it. The Wellness Program is also a great way to save real money on your massages. Since Thom was able to help get my shoulder and bicep tendonitis issues resolved, I decided to get a relaxation massage. Elements offers massage therapists with different levels of strength and specialties. The strength, in terms of soft or deep tissue massage, ranges from Level 1 to 4, with 4 being the strongest. I decided to try Level 1 with Mary Ellen. She did a great job, but I realized I still needed stronger kneading, so I jumped up to Level 3 with Deanna for my next massage. That was the right level for me. Deanna was able to provide a relaxing massage, while still "digging in" to release knots where needed. I ended up with a knee issue that turned out to be related to tight quads and hamstring muscles. It was really bad, so I made an appointment with Bob, a level 4 massage therapist. Bob is no joke. That dude is strong and gave my leg muscles the beating that they needed. I already had another appointment scheduled with Deanna, so I gave her a chance at working the leg muscles, and she was also very effective, not as much as Bob, but she did a great job, too. My next appointment is with Thom, so while my knee is a LOT better, there is still a couple of lingering knots that I'll have him work on with his technique. There is another massage therapist named Mario that uses stretching techniques with his massage. I think I would benefit from that too, but he is only available during the day. Maybe I'll set something up for a future vacation day. Right now, I think I'm set between Thom and Deanna for my regular monthly massage needs, and if I need some serious deep tissue work, I know Bob is there to get the tough jobs done. If you haven't tried Elements Massage, do it. They have someone for whatever you specific massage need may be. read more

I've had three great massages here, but wanted to mention that my last massage, with Bob, came with a ridiculous amount of conversation about Alex Jones, conspiracy theories, how Hillary Clinton is a lizard person, and that Anthony Bourdain was killed by Hillary Clinton's hit men. How this could be construed by any professional massage therapist as appropriate conversation in a massage is beyond me. I wasn't quite sure how to shut down the conversation without feeling incredibly awkward - like, should I say, "Hey, I happened to vote for that person that you're calling a lizard person?" I don't know. I spoke to a manager about this and was assured that it would be addressed, but wanted to make mention of it - I've never felt so uncomfortable in a massage appointment in my life. I was sort of expecting some sort of refund or rebate for my next appointment, but wasn't offered anything beyond an apology. I'll be back, but I'll certainly not be back to see Bob. read more

Their whole business model is based on subscriptions, so you'll be asked frequently to become a member. My schedule doesn't allow me to schedule massages on a regular basis, so that's not of interest to me. My massage was adequate. Not spectacular, but not terrible, either. His track pants did make an annoying noise as he moved around the table, but I got over that. My main issue was at check out. I had a $30 gift card that I won at a local event; the cashier couldn't find "the code" and I waited awhile while she "made one up." Once we got past that, I had a gift card from some friends that I wanted to apply. That wouldn't work because their system said it had already been redeemed (which it hadn't). She thankfully did believe me and asked to swipe my card to put a hold on it until the next day when her manager could straighten it out. I agreed and handed over my card. Oops! "The system" charged my card for the full amount. Now I'm annoyed. I advised that someone needed to call me the next day to confirm that everything was correct. Yes, the checkout process was now approaching the 10 minute mark. So much for the stress relief I had just received on the massage table... The next day I did get a voicemail from someone at the merchant saying that it had been resolved and confirming the proper amount was charged to my card. The words "apologize" or "sorry" were nowhere to be found in the message. And several days later now, both charges are on my credit card. I will not be back. read more

Two separate times I had appointments, they were canceled on the day of since the tech/ masseuse didn't show. In a good customer service environment, I would have been refunded. Not here- just an account credit. They want your money! Canceled my membership July 19 via phone call (after the second day-of cancellation), realized I was being charged still in Oct 19. Left a voicemail (they now have no record of this voicemail...), received a call back, they confirmed my account was canceled. Discovered I was still being charged. Called twice in Jan 20 ("management" never called back after my first call)- second call they told me there is a form I need to fill out to cancel- first time I heard of this! No refund for July-December. They can give me 3 gift cards? That I paid for? Not a refund for the 6 months I was being charged for a membership I canceled. I have issues with muscle cramping and get serious knots in my back/neck/shoulders to the point where I have been in physical therapy for related headaches and migraines from the whole situation for years! It's very difficult for me to find relief, and this place did a better job than any other place I've been! My massage was very tailored to my specific needs, and my therapist, Alex worked with me to do some therapeutic stretches throughout the massage. The next day it was like the topography of my back/neck/shoulders changed...for once, it wasn't full of ginormous knots and I swear my shoulder dropped like an inch after being so knotted it was stuck up too close to my ears. DO NOT get a package deal from this place. I found a wonderful therapist (Angela). I went to a cpl sessions and things were good. However, I booked an appointment a week ago for 5pm this evening. I got a call for an interview at 6pm. Obviously I am not going to turn down the interview because I am getting a massage, not in this economy!! They are charging me for the full session because of their 24 hour cancelation policy. That is crazy, I could see if I was late or a no show, but I was canceling 6 hours in advance. From now on I will go to Massage Envy where they are a little more understanding and flexible. My husband bought me a ninety minute massage for the birth of my second child and fortieth birthday. I was breastfeeding so I could not go right away. I called a couple months before the gift certificate expired to make an appointment no one answered I left a message and no one ever called me back. I stopped in a couple months after the expiration of the certificate because I figured stopping in was the only way to make an appointment the attendant told me that she would talk to the manager but they never honor gift certificates after they expire. I never even received a call back from the manager. My husband is furious he spent his money on nothing. We will tell everyone not to go to this massage company and never get gift certificates there. read more

He even used heat packs on each part of my back while he worked on other areas! So, I am one of those peps who ALWAYS has a kink in their neck. Sometimes it gets so bad I can barely move it from side to side. Yup. I hold all my stress in my neck so it can get bad. The people that work at Elements are fantastic and there is even a girl there that specializes in necks. An hour later, I usually feel fantastic! I have been a member of Elements on and off for several years, as my schedule has permitted. Everything about my experience at Elements has always been positive, from the way I am greeted by a warm and friendly staff, to the membership program and its flexibility and discounts, to the excellent massage therapists. Most recently, when my "regular" therapist wasn't available, I took an appointment with Thom. Thom is amazing. I was having a problems with restrictions in my shoulder and Thom is very knowledgeable about anatomy, and very adept at focusing on the particular muscles that have needed attention. I can't believe how much he has helped me already, and I count the days till my next appointment so we can continue to make progress. In years of getting massages, I have never met a massage therapist who is as capable of dealing with a specific problem area; I feel like I am getting the benefit of a physical therapy appointment without the need for a doctor's certification! And, of course, when we are not working on my shoulder, Thom gives a terrific overall massage as well. He is a total professional - providing a truly skilled massage experience with the perfect touch and a kind and soft-spoken manner. That being said, I would also highly recommend Mario, who also gives a great overall massage, along with being welcoming and attentive to providing excellent, tailored care. For me, I know I am in extremely capable hands with Thom and Mario. And from the way everyone treats me at Elements, I would say you are likely to be in good hands with anyone there. Each one listened and adjusted the amount of pressure when asked. poor customer service. falsely advertises benefits of membership package. i used to frequent elements and purchased their member package because i thought it worked out to be a good deal - never had the same therapist, even when i requested someone. always asked for deep tissue massage and was told i was scheduled with someone who specialized in it, was never the case. There was one instance and i requested that person for a follow-up massage.. an hour before my massage they called to re-schedule, but it had to be with someone else as that therapist was no longer employed there. front desk seemed really disorganized -- rescheduled massage was supposed to have an upgraded hot stone massage and when they rescheduled me with someone, that person didn't have the certificate to do so. i ended up finding a really great massage therapist at the milwaukee school of massage (lisa kay). their rates are awesome and if you like deep-tissue, she's the way to go (also does holistic things too during session). read more

I went to Elements on the high recommendation of a friend who goes there often. I work 2 jobs and am a part-time student, so my stress level is very high and I love massages. I was so excited, because all the reviews were very positive. I get terrible migraines and explained this to the massage therapist. I also was extremely clear that I have a hard time handling deep tissue massage - it is excruciatingly painful to me, and I asked her to have the lightest touch possible. The first part of the massage was great. However, when she started to work on my neck and shoulders, things went horribly wrong. She massaged them so hard that I was crying, clenching my teeth, and white-knuckling the sides of the table. I again explicitly asked her to have a light touch. Her response was to tell me to "Breathe deeply." I was face up, so there is no way she could have NOT seen the tears streaming down my face. Now, I can't lift my right arm and am in horrible pain throughout my neck and shoulder; along with numbness and tingling in my right arm. NONE of this was present prior to the massage. I honestly would prefer a migraine to this. I plan to call and inform the owner, but I had to also let it be known on Yelp, because this is the place I go when looking for help on finding new businesses. I will NEVER go back and am so disappointed that a relaxing experience turned into extreme pain. read more

Elements Massage is like a hidden gem. I walked by so many times without stopping in. When I finally did I was astonished by its size - 5 rooms in that little space. The Front Desk was friendly, professional, and fun. They asked me questions and matched me with a therapist that meet my needs. The therapist was a perfect fit for what I was looking for. She made me feel very comfortable during the session and gave me stretches and best practices to use at home. I came again a couple of weeks later for a pulled muscle and they matched me with a different therapist. Again, a very good fit. The invited me to join their Wellness Program so I could save money and I was enticed not only by the prices, but also the fact that I did not have to commit to a year and my husband could share. Now we go for date nights. I can not say enough about this business. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and even to my enemies. read more
