Beautiful shower! We…read morehad Tintas install our new master shower. They have a beautiful and extensive showroom. They have the materials on site, so you can see your materials in person. (Stone slabs, tile, sinks, etc) They are not brokers. They also have their own water jet machine on site. First, they came to tear down the old shower, which was done in one day. They completely cleaned up after themselves and hauled the old material away. Our new shower is gorgeous! They did an amazing job from start to finish: tear down, installation, plumbing and new shower door. They were punctual and very courteous. I want to add that their office staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Tintas is a family-owned company and they are very meticulous. This is the 6th time we have contracted them. We have always been very satisfied with the work and we wouldn't use anyone else.

Bill the owner convinced us to buy his sink instead of store bought. That's when problems began shortly after, I got real sick and needed a kidney transplant so our concerns at that time weren't on the problem with the guest bathroom sink ! There was a mysterious ring near the drain. I was blessed and got a transplant after 6 years. The first year you stay pretty busy with hospital visits but we didn't worry about sink because we felt Tintas would be able to fix the issue!! We where mistaken they sent Colton out to see the issue, the ring was rough and had no porcelain but instead of helping they did the old wasn't us we didn't blah blah blah use CLR or you can pay us 1000 dollars and we'll get you a new sink and vanity. That's was what they charge us the first time how about that, such a deal. Don't you think if yoonly had to use CLR why would they not just clean it ? I engaged 2nd Avenue Design by email in February. I specifically asked if they did engineering…read more Michael at 2nd Ave responded by email saying, "yes this is something we do a lot." I subsequently met with Michael. He came to my home and we discussed the project. He said he would write a bid for the job. This is where we started to have problems with communication and follow up. I had to ask for the bid after it was due. Miraculously he sent it after I asked. I decided to use 2nd Ave and gave a deposit to start the process with the agreement that work would begin by June 1st. Between my first contact with Michael at 2nd Ave and now (July 15th) I've had to hound him for updates and communication. He said he was having a difficult time finding an engineer. He brought one by finally (an engineer who he never worked with) and the engineer kept asking me what I wanted and he had no solutions except to put large obtrusive posts and beams in after jackhammering my foundation. Clearly this is not what I discussed with Michael and it was clearly a lazy solution for the engineer. No work has ever been started and my last text to Michael on July 5th was ignored until July 14th when I texted again and asked for my deposit back. I'm sure 2nd Ave is good at ripping out your old kitchen and putting a new one in when it's just new cabinets and appliances. But they definitely are not your company if you need any thought put into your project. I would not recommend 2nd Avenue Design for any project other than anything very simple.

We weren't sure what we could afford since we had a modest budget, but Mike came out and discussed the possibilities of our kitchen design. He followed up with drawings and several budget options. I never thought I'd be so excited by drawings, but they helped us to help visualize what the kitchen could be before the work even started. We worked with him on the design, and soon after his crew got started. They communicated well on what to expect, stayed on schedule, and the work is beautiful! His crew has such a high attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship. I felt like he treated the job like his own kitchen. John welcomed me with a handshake (a real one, not that weak stuff some guys give) and listened to my needs. I showed him the pics of what I needed and he rattled off the names and showed me what they had. For the coral fountain and purple lantana there was a lot to choose from. For the red bird of paradise (15 gal) there was only one up front and it wasn't a 10/10. He offered to take me in the back to look at others but I was in a time crunch. He went back, grabbed a beautiful specimen, and was back up front with it next to my truck before I paid. Awesome service from all (esp John) and I think their prices are better than the big box stores. I'll be back, thanks guys!

When I came in and told her what I wanted she tried ringing it up right away. I let her know I wanted to pick it out. The gal up front greated me and was nice. So was the gal whe sweet gal who took me to the plants but didn't speak much English. We managed just fine working together. This is a place you go to do business at, but you won't get that warm fuzzy personable experience which is totally fine with me. Their Ocotillos weren't what I was looking for so I was on my way. Still worth checking out if ever looking for desert or tropical plants. Many are under shade but still get sun. Just think of where you'll be planting it verses how they are growing it and you should be fine. They are very busy.
