I'll never go back! We took in our 2011 Mercedes E350. Oil was leaking into the radiator. They charged us 4300.00 for a bunch of work they said was needed. When we got the car back, the fan belt was making noise and the interior fan didn't work. We assumed they had not put it all back together correctly and so took it back to get the situation corrected. They wanted another 1200 dollars to fix it. They said it was just a coincidence that these things went bad at the same time. We said we would get a second opinion. It was after that, they told us that a 900 dollar part they had replaced previously, was defective and they would replace it free of charge. Like they were doing us a favor. Long story short, the fan mysteriously started working after we picked it up and the fan noise eventually went away on its own. Second opinion mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. The whole experience and comments from the guy at the front desk made this all feel very shady. read more

My car had been giving me some intermittent stalling issues and one morning simply would not start. I had it towed to GP Automotive as they had good reviews and were located close to me. This was in February. They investigated and found a lot of parts they wanted to replace. My car being older (2005) I wasn't totally shocked by this but I asked for assurances that this would fix the problem and that the car would be reliable. They assured me this would take care of the issue. It cost $4200. Less than 300 miles later the car again died on me (intermittent stall) and I brought it back to GP Automotive (They hardly remembered me and misremembered the make and transmission of my car). They called me after a few days, said they were unable to reproduce the issue (so, no fix), and that I could pick the car up. I told them to take pride in their work and to please resolve the issue, reminding them that they had already charged me more than $4,000 and that the car was still not fixed, and that I was well within my rights to leave them a less-than-stellar review. They quickly agreed to redouble their efforts. They had the car from mid-May through to the end of July when they finally decided to replace two additional parts (they could still not confirm what the cause of the issue was) for an another $600. In that time frame I reached out for updates 15 times. They reached out to me three times. Again, less than 200 miles from pickup, the car died on me today. I will never return to GP automotive. You should never bring your vehicle there either. P.S. I would like to personally call out Nick for being extremely unreliable with updates, unrealistic on timeframes, and inaccurate in his quotes. read more

I procrastinate on car service and finally after my car notified me of issues and I noticed the car running poorly I finally took my car in to be inspected and serviced. My car is a 2011 and I have had it for 10 years and only did the minimum to it (oil changes). I dropped my car off to GP Automotive and they did a thorough check of all that was required. I was not happy with the quote (cost) and we worked to figure out the minimum of what needs to be done now! After reviewing what has to be done and what can wait I decided to have all the work done. $4,408.01 was not in my budget but GP and I have a plan to keep my 2011 Chevy Cruze running for the next 5/7 years!!! I am hoping that my plan works out!! Their customer service is incredible as they keep you updated on what is happening and I was able to talk to Eric about the repairs. I'm still not happy about the cost but that is not GP's fault, my car needed all the work and I'm grateful that GP Automotive was there to help out!!! read more

As a single woman I brought my car into this shop to get a check on my Coolant light being on. They convinced me that there were two leaks to be repaired to the tune of $5,500.00. Then the called me while doing the work and said that the parts they were repairing were rusted and the car would need another 5,000.00 worth of new parts. After a week I got the car back and it immediately began to make a loud rubbing noise. So I brought it back in and they said they td me that there was a possibility that the CV joints might go bad and that was the new problem. So I paid another $1,750.00 to fix that and now two weeks later I'm stranded in Issaquah because the Coolant light went back on and my car overheated. when I called them at GP to tell them the car overheated, they said that they would tow the car but that the problem could be the radiator and not their work. I now have the car at a dealership and it will probably cost another fortune to get it out of their shop. My car was running fine when I brought it into GP in the first place, huge mistake! Very rude condescending staff! They tried to charge us $4K+ when we said no, then they still charged us $369 just to tell us to take it to the dealership to get it fixed. Very bad experience all around, we will 100% not be taking my car back, and would discourage everyone from taking their vehicle here. UPDATE: After I posted my last scathing review, GP Auto contacted me and wanted to make the situation "right". I agreed. Everyone deserves a second chance. They waived the initial A/C diagnosis charge and within an hour and a half discovered the problem. The cost was reasonable - A/C problems are rarely cheap. So far the A/C is performing well. i have never actually been here but i called and after my one phone call, i wouldn't even bother trying the place. I asked for a price on regular oil change on an old 04 car and it was $60 and then for a 2016 synthentic and it was $95. I commented on how they were more expensive than the dealer and the guy didn't even say a word, so i finally said ok bye. He just said yup and hung up. Good mechanics are a rarity. Mike Glosser and his crew at GP raise the bar to heights few attain. My '92 Mercedes diesel was an experimental purchase that I got pretty cheap on Ebay. It needed work and Mike worked with it over the last year and a half until now I have an outstanding vehicle that's still worth more than I have in it. I read the reviews on this place and saw the video of work on a '78 corvette. The place looks high end and thought a great place to take my '80 Vette. Very friendly front desk (kudos to Brianna) and I had to make an appointment. All seemed reasonable enough. I dropped my car off on June 9th in the afternoon and explained some electrical problems (brake lights, no horn, and power door locks) and mechanical issues (power steering leak, weak radiator, leaking oil,). Well, not at all good planning or communication. Confusing why with an appointment the car takes 4 months to complete. Three weeks to diagnose the electrical problem. Six weeks to replace the radiator. Four weeks to replace ball joints that I did not know were bad. The leaking power steering was my main problem why I took it there in the first place, seems that only takes 3 weeks to repair and last on their list. I wanted to add more power, replace leaky exhaust, and fix some oil leaks. I don't have the time or patience to let my car sit at their shop for another 4+ months to have any improvements to the car. I feel lucky I didn't have to tow it out. I called again Friday expecting to hear another story why my car would not be ready for another week and to my surprise Eric tells me the car is ready, October 10th. Wow, only 18 weeks. I will pick the car up Monday and I'm excited to see the bill for $7k (storage fees maybe?) . If you don't expect to see your car for a very long time, make an appointment and drop it off. Not like they call with updates because "we ain't workin on it" doesn't make people happy. I work 6 days a week and probably could have got it done faster and a hell of a lot cheaper. My advice and learning experience is check the parking lot, if it's full, expect your car to get in line behind them all. I'll keep you posted. read more

This shop has had my vehicle for 19 days (and counting). I had an appointment, so the visit was properly scheduled and the truck wasn't just dropped-off. The first wrong "diagnosis" was a faulty fuel solenoid and a voltage problem. I had them install new battery cables which were pricey, but recommended, and probably not even necessary given the mis-diagnosis. That fuel solenoid would have been an additional $900, plus labor. The cables were $300. That took several days to accomplish, then nothing for almost 2 weeks. So now on Day19 they are saying a faulty lift pump and injection pump, both of which were replaced when the engine was rebuilt less than 20,000 miles ago. New parts, with receipts. No rebuilt junk. Highly unlikely to fail, as in it's pretty clear they don't really know what's wrong, but are happy to throw expensive parts at the problem hoping they are correct. We are talking around $3500 here. I've asked for the owner(s) to give me a call, but they are "out of town". No phones there? Guess not. As stated, they have had it 19 days before getting this "diagnosis", and have run-up a wad in diagnostic fees. Aren't reputable shops supposed to be able to figure it out in a day or two at most? This is a very common vehicle, not some exotic foreign make. Dodge pickup with the Cummins diesel. I've been really patient, and now I'm angry. Frankly, I think they're guessing as opposed to actually knowing. They didn't even have the equipment to check the compression, which should have been a major red flag for me. I much prefer that a shop give me a definite answer the first time, and in a timely fashion. I will have to tow the truck out of there to a shop that knows what it is doing...not guessing. But first, I'll have to pay the diagnostic fees.Gee, wasn't the $198.00 for "diagnostic fee" enough? It isn't my fault it took you 19 days to decide what the problem might be. That money will be on me, and I wasn't informed of the extra fees. Avoid this establishment. It should never take a shop 19 days to get back to you with an answer. How can I trust anything these people say after being largely ignored for over 2 weeks, and getting very little in the way of communication? I simply don't believe them after so many wrong turns. The BS line that the owners "aren't available" tells me everything I need to know. It should never take this long to diagnose a problem in a common vehicle with a common engine. I simply cannot trust this shop. Neither should you. Update: The owner finally called me today and nothing was resolved. I'll pull my truck out tomorrow and get a shop that can get it figured out. To his credit, he was apologetic about the delays and the failure of his staff to keep me updated, but I have zero confidence in these folks at this point. It looks like their core business is imported cars, and perhaps they can do a better job on them than domestic makes. Update #2: I pulled the truck out of GP Automotive and had it towed to a diesel specialist. Diagnosis? Blown head gasket and severely retarded ignition timing. No voltage issue at all. So, GP mis-diagnosed several problems and possibly added to the head gasket issue by continuing to run the truck. Wow. Big $$$ Final update: The head gasket was repaired and the truck runs great. ZERO issues with the lift pump or any of the other concerns listed by GP. Eric (owner) never offered any refund or discount for all of the unnecessary "diagnosis" work, which added up to almost $900. I feel ripped-off and that these people are crooks. I drive by this shop daily and see a lot of older Benzes and BMWs there, which could rack-up a lot of unnecessary work in a hurry. I don't think this shop is honest, so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

They were able to get my work van in right away when I called. The engine had died on the freeway. They repaired the wire that had shorted out on the manifold. Eric had been pulling fuses to find the short and he somehow forgot to push the headlight and engine computer fuses all the way back in. I ended up driving home at night with no headlights. I started out on a brightly lit street and the dash lights worked, so I didn't notice the headlights were out till I was on the freeway. When I got home I looked at the fuse panel and couldn't miss the two fuses part way out. I'm lucky the engine computer didn't fail. Eric was very apologetic and hopes I'll come back. read more

I took my Mercedes 500 Sl to this buisiness GP Automotive in Everett Wa. The reviews I had seen said they were the best. Here's My Review. I had the car towed there on December 28 th 2015. I just got it yesterday April 15th 2016. That's over Three Months. Ridiculous. I called the Service Manager Kyle several times over this period. Was told all kinds of crap. Oh the parts are coming in , we just got parts and they are working on it. I drive by that day. It's sitting in the same place in the parking lot. Lied to. Nice I spoke with Eric the owner he assured me that they would get it done. I went in two months into this and they gave me a quote of 6000. Dollars to replace a bunch of things. I just want it to run ! I ended up being pushed aside this week when I came to look at what was done pushed aside cause someone in a Porsche had an appt. the treatment you will receive from this buisiness is they Will Not Care for your car. It will be covered in dirt when you get it. It will smell musty inside because it sat in the weather for almost four months. You will have dents scratches a dirty interior when you get it. And you will have to put the parts back on the engine air cleaner etc when you pick it up cause they're short staffed. They required me to pay for parts up front. Never had a signed piece of paper stating I would be notified of progress. I paid 1600.00 in the end. The car barely made it home. On the way the left front turn signal fell off. Guess it was hit there. The service is despicable. They will tell you a bunch of bull and expect payment. Am I Pissed Damn Right. I want my car to run . Went out this morning tried to start it.
