I am a loyal Safeway customer and had never encountered any issues prior to two months ago. Within a span of just two weeks, my shopping cart was locked twice. At first, I had no idea what was happening. The second time, I discovered that this specific employee was using a remote control to lock my cart. Honestly, it was absolutely ridiculous! On another occasion, this employee repeatedly paced around my cart, inspecting the items inside. When my cart was locked the first time, the employee even confronted me in front of other shoppers, demanding to know where I had paid. This behavior made me feel as though I were being suspected of shoplifting. Just imagine how humiliating and embarrassing that feels--especially for a long-time, loyal customer like myself. The first thing this employee needs to learn is how to respect customers. Customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, not viewed as criminals without any valid reason. If customers are subjected to this kind of treatment, why would anyone choose to shop here when they could simply drive a little further to another Safeway? No one wants to spend their money at a store where they feel watched, suspected, or disrespected. Safeway management needs to take these issues seriously and address this employee's behavior. Loyal customers should be valued, not driven away by terrible customer service.

It was correct on the price and total price. I was adding more items and out of nowhere some employee barges between me and my bag. He says: "I have to void your item. I was checking items earlier and forgot to clear the screen" (this was clearly a lie as I had been checking the prices diligently of my items the screen). He then proceeds to go through my shopping bag without asking for permission. He then left without even apologizing for the inconvenience as I now have to scan my items again. This was clearly a way for this employee to check if I was stealing at self checkout. I have no idea why they suspected me of stealing. I have never been so insulted to shop for groceries. The reasons though why I am giving this Walmart such a bad rating is because it suffers from the same problems as most Walmarts. From having a very dirty and unsanitary feeling. The floors are extremely dirty and not clean, the bathrooms same problem are not very clean and always smell really bad, and of course the service is not good like most Walmarts. As for food options, it's what you'd expect at a Walmart. From mostly foul and not good quality produce, to meat that isn't good quality and likely to go bad in a short amount of time, to also being a bit overpriced even for a retail store. The only reason I am giving this store a 2 not a 1 star is because at least, it sells products that you can't get anywhere but Walmart rather its at a normal Walmart or Neighborhood Market.
