I love these stuffed flatbreads. They are a great breakfast or brunch food. I like the sweet jalapeño jam to go with the sweet potato flatbread. Some thing to know before you buy these delicious flatbreads: 1) These are not your chewy wrap style flatbreads. So if that's what you expect, you may be disappointed (but I am not at all!) 2) You MUST heat them in a hot oven or toaster oven!!! If not, they'll be too soft and seem soggy! I go 12 minutes at 450F, and flip half way thru. If you reheat them the right way, you get a super flaky crust! You should be able cut it into quarters and hold each piece up nice and firm where it doesn't bend or fall apart. I think people may end up heating them the wrong way and then being disappointed with a mushy flatbread. These take patience! The vendors are always super nice and willing to let you try whatever you like. Check em out! read more

Always nice to see the Bolani booth at the local farmers market and every time there here I enjoy picking up one of their specialty spinach flatbreads. I have never tried their other products before, but im sure they are just as delicious. Food: I always get the spinach flatbread {4/5 stars, $8} - Very delicious warmed up and toasted with a nice soft crunch and delicious and rich spinach flavor. It will be 5/5 stars if there was added salt on top of the bread after baking, but I touch of salt after baking and its perfect. Its always nice seeing them here at both locations on the weekends! Discovering Bolani at the Palo Alto farmers market was perhaps life changing. First of all, the man at the booth was so friendly and hilarious, inviting us in to pass out hot samples of flatbread stacked with 3 different types of sauce. He said, "if you keep standing there, I'm going to keep feeding you! I'm like a vending machine, I can't help it" which had me laughing because it seemed very true. His energy was great. I couldn't leave without buying some. I didn't have much cash on me, so I only purchased the popular spinach flatbread and delicious artichoke hummus.... I need MORE. Edit: Within 10 minutes of contacting the business, they reimbursed me the difference + some for the inconvenience. This leads me to believe it was a mistake with no ill-intent. Mistakes happen, it's all about how you handle it. I bought some of their products at the farmers market this weekend. The food was very good and flavorful. My issue is with their business practices. The man asked if I had any cash as it was preferred, but I only had a seven dollars. He said to give him what cash I had and he'd charge the remainder to my card. Bolani has been my greatest discovery of quarantine HANDS DOWN!!! I came across their stand at the Saratoga farmer's market and decided to give it a try after a friend had recommended them and it really did not disappoint!!! I usually heat it in the toaster oven to get it nice and crispy and it's perfect at any time of the day! I also tried their cilantro pesto which paired perfectly with the bolani and gave it a nice kick. My go to bolanis are the spinach, spicy potato, and lentil! I do really want to try the pumpkin one that they recently released. A pro tip that they recommended was cutting up the spinach bolani and cooking it in with scrambled eggs (see pic below) for brunch, and it was SO GOOD!!! Highly recommend trying this special dish! They offer more flavors at the FM. Along with the bolani, also got the yogurt sauce, the cilantro pesto and the sweet jalapeno jam. After toasting the bolani, cut into strips or wedges. Slather with yogurt and top with cilantro. Then drizzle generously with jalapeno. Yum. The jalapeno jam is sweet, not spicy at all so for a little heat, I sometimes add sriracha or hot sauce. read more

Came across Bolani's stand at a Sunday morning farmer's market in Oakland. I picked up the Spicy Potato flatbread and Garlic Mint Yogurt sauce on the recommendation from the Bolani team member - she said those flavors are their best sellers. The Garlic Mint Yogurt is heavenly!! So refreshing and flavorful. I've tried it with pretzels, carrots, and on top of the flatbread - all delicious. The potatoes in the flatbread had a nice little kick. I microwaved the flatbread and it was tasty, but wasn't as crispy as I'd like. I'll try heating my second one up in the oven to maximize crispness! Can't wait to try out more of their sauces and flatbread flavors. read more

We are partial to the sweet red pepper jalapeno sauce and cilantro pesto and use generously on lots of foods, mixing often with Siggi's 4% plain yogurt to top off for example a split pea and white bean chili.. I recently developed a likeness for their products....until my 3rd purchase. I bought 2 flatbreads and 3 sauces/dips. Expiration date on the flatbreads were 9/27/18. I reached for one of the already opened flatbreads on 9/23 and it had mold on it. Reached for the 2nd one (unopened) and it too had mold on it. I told a rep at my local farmers' market and she stated that it does that sometimes and to next time bring it back and they would exchange it. She missed the point. It SHOULDN'T develop mold before the expiration date whether opened or not. And 2nd, it was silly for her to assume I would buy more product and should it mold again, that I would keep it and carry it with me to return. There will never be a next time because I refuse to buy products with false information on it. read more

Their Wheat free Bolani is also good, after trying the samples at Walnut Creek farmer's market I became a fan of their Spicy Potatoes and Spinach ones. Just bought various Bolanis and dips at Kaiser Permanente's mini Farmer's Market in Fremont-so far had the gluten free spinach Bolani and garlic mint yogurt (I tested them both with a personal allergen device and they came back truly gluten free which is a must because I have celiac disease), and I wish I had bought more, the yogurt in particular is mouth watering. I love their food, but as several other customers have stated, the food items go bad before the date on the container. I've had this happen a few times with their food, unfortunately. On Saturday, I bought hummus and lentil curry and it is now six days later, and both are spoiled. There is no central contact number or email for Bolani, so I can't contact them directly. I tried their lentil-filled whole wheat flatbread with the garlic cream sauce, cilantro pesto and jalepeno jelly at the Costco in Danville. They were AMAZING and also healthy (whole grains and protein rich lentils). They are low in calories and fat (5 points for a whole flatbread on Weight Watchers).
