It had been years since I last frequented your establishment, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful energy and the extensive variety of items you carry, from crystals and jewelry to herbs and natural remedies. I initially came in for foot zoning to seek relief for an autoimmune disorder. Although I arrived feeling skeptical and unsure of what to expect, your welcoming presence immediately put me at ease. I was truly impressed by how you were able to identify my health concerns simply by examining my feet. Thanks to your passionate guidance and the holistic options you recommended, I am now off my prescribed medications and feeling significantly better. I have been recommending your shop to all of my friends, and they have had equally wonderful experiences. Thank you for your incredible help and for maintaining such a hidden gem of a store.

This is one of those places that just kind of feels like home…read more I've been stopping by this market for as long as I've been hiking in the Golden Gate Area, which is over a decade. Some of Good Earth's items are on the super pricy side, but some are also reasonable. The deli and bakery items are usually pretty good. This was the first place I ever found Sjaak's chocolate. Sadly, they no longer exist, but I used to always stop by for their Hearts of Cherry after hiking around Mt Tam. Today I stopped by for whatever looked good enough to buy, which happened to be a pesto chicken calzone from the hot deli case, a slice of chocolate cake that looked too good to be $5, some roma tomatoes, and a blueberry banana water. The pesto chicken calzone had decent flavor, but it literally had like half a cup of grilled onions on it. Like, there was an entire opaque layer of grilled onion. Adding onions to compensate for less meat is one of the oldest Italian tricks in the book, and is the basis of many great recipes. In this case, it was a little much. Also, the crust didn't have any flavor, but for $10, for this area, it wasn't bad. The chocolate cake was the worst chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. It should have been labeled "iced biscotti," because that's about how dry it was. After a few bites, I had to double check to make sure I didn't accidentally grab an expired piece. It was so dry!! Okay, so, the cake was a mistake, but everything else was good. Their fresh deli pizzas looked AMAZING, but I did not take one home. Overall, the store is very clean, well lit, and merchandised nicely. My only issue is the twinkie sized stall in the ladies room, with a door that opens inward, trapping anyone who is greater than four inches in diameter between the toilet and the door. Sometimes you seriously have to wonder what kind of psychopath designed women's public restrooms. It's like, if you are larger than an actual Barbie doll, good luck getting in and out without touching the public toilet! So, I actually made two separate purchases. First, I purchased the calzone, and took it back to my car to eat. Noticing that I was surrounded by Teslas and eating disorders, I put up my sunshades so that I could eat in peace, without becoming a TikTok reel. After I finished eating, as I was lowering my sunshade, I caught the man parked next to me in the act of taking a video of me, anyway! My car is ugly enough to make a classist person assume that I'm a homeless person, which I'm sure is what happened in this case. Maybe he was planning to post it on social media as an example of how homeless people were ruining his life. When he saw a nicely dressed woman in a brand new, pretty dress (me) he looked shocked. I looked back and forth between him and his phone which was pointed at me, and glared. He lowered the phone and stared at me, wide eyed and jaw dropped, as if he wanted to explain. I glared at him as hard as I could. Classist rich people harass me like this all the time. As a formerly homeless person, I know that in reality, there's no such thing as "looking homeless." People who "look homeless" are usually housed and struggling with mental health issues, while homeless people who live in shelters are usually very well-groomed. But tell that to the classist rich person who thinks it's funny to take videos of other people and post them on the internet to mock them. I wish it was illegal to do that, but it's not. So if I'm posted on "homeless people of Marin" or something, that's what's up, even though I'm very much housed and employed. A calzone with a side of classism. Not the store's fault. But irritating none the less.

At the San Jose location, Ana repeatedly told me, at least four times, that I had to pick up my cake at 5:00 PM and that there was absolutely no flexibility to come earlier. After nearly 10 minutes of explaining the same thing over and over, she finally said I could come at 4:30 PM. When I asked if she was sure, she said yes. I then asked for her name so I could let the bakery know who approved it, and she said her name was Ana. However, she immediately followed that by saying it was still up to the bakery staff and that they could make me wait until 5:00 PM if they wanted to because that was my scheduled pickup time. She also mentioned that people are always trying to do this. It ended up being a long and frustrating conversation, and I still didn't have a clear answer. Then I called the Dublin location and spoke with Amber. What a difference! She was kind, understanding, and genuinely focused on helping me. She immediately reassured me that the cake would be ready earlier in the day and that I could come pick it up when I needed it. She even explained customization options for the cake that I didn't know were available. Amber made the entire process easy and stress-free. I am so grateful for her flexibility, professionalism, and willingness to help. She made me feel like customer service actually matters, and because of her, I feel confident and excited about my graduation celebration. Whole Foods Dublin is clearly focused on creating a positive customer experience, and I truly appreciate the outstanding service Amber provided.

I was at the self check out counter and a staff was really rude to me: she kept telling me to scan an item a certain way and it did not work. Also my Amazon Palm was not working: she kept insisting that it would be better not to use it since I did not set it up correctly/ she was very rude too. After I checked out, I found out that she was in a hurry since it was the end of her shift. Maybe it would be good if staff members could be scheduled into the back storage room or restocking rather than customers-facing at the end of their shifts: just a suggestion.

Maybe I lucked out that day but if they do this on the daily then *claps* bravo The Vitamin Shoppe. You have trained your employees well. This is the primary reason why I give this spot the coveted 5 star review. Let's talk about everything else though. L O C A T I O N The Vitamin Shoppe is located in a smaller plaza in a larger plaza in the Dublin area about a bridge away from the San Francisco Outlets. There are parking spots but they're limited. Most of them are taken by patrons of the other restaurants nearby. Also be careful as I almost got backed into while slowly driving through the plaza. There are more spots that are open that are closer and around the corner from The Vitamin Shoppe. I N S I D E Fairly sized and very clean well lit spot. Everything in its spot. The cashier and employees are smack dab in the front right when you enter S E R V I C E When I entered, I was kindly greeted by the two workers that day with a wide smile. Fun music was playing. They asked if I needed any assistance or help finding anything. I didn't and really just wanted to explore but at the same time I wanted to just find the item I was looking for myself and I was in no rush. When more folks came in, same service, same happy greeting. While one was helping one customer, the other worker, just came around and asked again just in case I needed any help which was kind of them to do so. Again not being pushy just checking up. I did find what I needed. I did notice that their website stock info matched exactly to what I found in the store which I can't say is the same with other shops so a major plus. I checked out easily and they asked if I had an account with them. I did and provided my phone. From beginning to end, I felt like the service was just superb. O V E R A L L Although I could find this item on Amazon but I wanted it immediately and glad I was able to find it relatively nearby. I wouldn't have had the same experience or wouldn't have had a chance to visit this spot and experience the customer service here which was great. Sometimes it's nice to shop in person you know? Highly recommend stopping by and getting your supplements and other items here and support this spot out. Although yes they're a chain, there's not many of them and they're great at what they do. Definitely check them out and hopefully I get to try out more things from here!
