    Pretty good deal

I think GBK is exactly how you imagine it to be. It's grand. The food is good - not amazing, not bad, but it's grand. Big burgers with lots of toppings and a potential for lock jaw if you try to wrap your mouth around all of it at the same time..! It's pretty good value and they have a lot of choice - also bonus. Service is good. Again, nothing to write home about, but this can come from working in chains, where the staff aren't totally on board with the mission, but they're doing their job, so nothing wrong with that either! One cool thing about this place is the location - being on South William St, it's great for people watching and general vibes. Overall, it's a winner if you're not expecting a mind-blowing experience, and want to know what's in store!

What a concept...really cool place. I really wanted to give it 4 stars but I just can't. I was really excited to see that they have other sort of burgers besides beef (I don't like beef) and they were not just on the menu as an afterthought. There was lamb, either fried or grilled chicken, and I think a veggie option as well. First of all, I was a bit surprised that this was a sit down restaurant (with a waiter and everything). It did not look like a cheap fast food joint but more of a good food fast place where you order at the counter. O well, no big deal. I got a fried chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon...it was huge! Then I had fries with rosemary and sea salt. I ordered garlic mayo (was extra) to go with it. I love that they have a bunch of different choices to dip your fries in. The tast was really good, but I would have liked it if the fried were a bit crispier. I also had a peanut milkshake to go with everything. The thing was huge and served right in the metal blending thing. The shake was good but I was a bit disappointed because I thought it could have been a bit more flavorful. I could not even come close to finishing everything it was so much food. Even tough there were some bad points, I really want to like this place and would certainly go back and try it again. While it is not "expensive" per se I ended up paying €19 for my meal.

You are able to sit inside or outside. Personal is mostly kind and respectful. Prizes are moderate to high but the quality is amazing. Central location just nearby grafton street. No parking places.

Burgers are a good choice from time to time. Selection of TaxiDriver Burger, Smoking Joe Burger or Avocado one, is interesting. I chose the TaxiDriver and it is very good. There is something innovative in incorporating an onion ring in the burger. If you like smoked chilli mayo and cheese, go for the it. Another good choice is the Cheese Bites, they are what they are supposed to be... cheesy. They are not too heavy so there is always space after them for something else. The Homemade onion rings are good with the garlic sauce but those Rosemary fries, I am not very convinced. I love rosemary. It is a very aromatic herb, a bit like mustard and a bit bitter. I missed all that plus the fries were dried. I know that they are only fries but the details count.

I had a grilled chicken salad and a hand cut chips. The salad was pretty good. The dressing was sweet and I love the addition of cashews,, the chicken was burned and not tender at all! And the hips were Saggy and cold.. Not recommended!

During our research before we left we saw a video talking about Bunsen. Just seeing the high quality of the ingredients made it one of our must try stops in Dublin. As we do when traveling, we start and end the day eating throughout the day. We popped into Bunsen to finally try the legendary burger around 4:30 pm. Because we were there at such an odd hour, we were the only people there. When you visit Ireland, the pub culture is real and most pubs start to get quite busy around 5:30 pm. Since Bunsen isn't a pub and wasn't located in a particularly touristy area , it didn't surprise me they were empty at that time of day. What stuck out the most at first was the super friendly service right from the door. We were sat at a small banquet of tables against the wall and checked out the menu from QR code link on the table. We were there for their original burger so that is what we ordered. No sides and water to drink. I couldn't be filling up too much yet. It was pretty early after all and we had a lot of places to stop yet. The menu isn't huge. They focus on doing one thing well and keep it at that. I like a restaurant that doesn't try to be everything. Our burger came out within 10 min and it was juicy, hot and fresh. Presented beautifully wrapped. We shared this one burger because, we knew we had lots of food to eat later. Immediately after eating the last bite I wanted to order another. It was really that good. Such perfection! This will be the burger I compare all others in Ireland to.

Casual decor, open kitchen and beer fridge, lighting was on the dim side. Had a Pitburger pilsner beer. Although a bottle beer, it was very crisp, malty, clean, and a bit sweet, very suitable summer drink. Also had a Southern fried chicken burger. Chicken was fried very nicely, the crust was crispy but not overly hard, inside was juicy and piping hot fiber, nicely seasoned with a bit of spices, went very well wtih the fresh veggies and sauce in the burger. The buns were soft and warm, though I might want it toasted a bit more. Also the price might be slightly on the high side (€11.95) for a standard size burger. Nonetheless, taste matters the most.

The restaurant is quite small and there are long tables that they seat parties together at. We had to squeeze in the middle which was fine just a bit hot and cramped. The chicken was well seasoned on the burgers but the bun was wayyy too much bread, could use a different bun we think. They do offer everything in a bowl which is nice so would probably do that rather. The onion rings were also super good. Guessing the man working the room was the owner as he seemed invested and seemed to know some of the customers. All in all good food and we'd give it another go.

Atmosphere: Modern bar. Very busy and noisy. Service: Not the best. We got seated pretty quickly but we waited forever before someone came to take our drink order. I saw multiple staff members just hanging out. Some of them eating a the bar just chatting. Our waitress didn't even say hi - just "are you ready to order?" When I asked a few questions about the burgers she was pretty clueless. Nice enough and all, but honey, you really should know your menu. She never asked us what temp we wanted our burgers cooked to either. Once we ordered our burgers, it took a good 25 minutes before they came out. A food runner gave us our plates. While we were waiting I noticed that the majority of the staff looked about 16 years old. Maybe a night time manager would be a good idea?? Our waitress did check in but didn't keep an eye on our drinks and I ran out of soda before finishing my burger AND my boyfriend ran out of his beer. Missed opportunity to earn more money.... When we finished our meal, we sat there a long time before someone else came to clear our dishes. We then waited for the bill for another 10 minutes....Thank goodness we didn't need change and could just get up and leave! Food: The food, however, was really good. I got the Old School Burger, very classic beef burger, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, relish sauce, brioche bun. The burger meat is antibiotic and hormone free and really did taste fresh and delicious. All the stuff that came with it complemented the burger nicely and I was definitely pleased. The relish sauce really made it. My boyfriend got the Bacon BBQ Burger - beef burger, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, fried onion strings, hickory BBQ sauce on brioche bun. He thought it was really good. The fried onion strings were really good and the BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. We both got the shoestring fries and they were okay. Nothing special, but not bad. If they seasoned them a bit it might take things up a notch. The presentation of the burgers is quite impressive. The fries come in a separate stand up container which is fun. There is a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. My boyfriend got 8 degrees sunburnt red beer which he liked quite a bit. I just had a diet coke. You can make your own burger if you don't want to get a specific one on the menu. There are a variety of burger bases, buns, toppings, sauces, and such to choose from. If you don't want fries for a side they have sweet potato fries, side salads, coleslaw, etc. They offer other menu items as well such as sandwiches, salads, appetizers, shakes/malts/floats. Cost: Most of the burgers were 10-12 euros. You pay extra for sides. The fries we got added an additional 2.50 euros each. My boyfriends beer was 5 euros, my soda 3 euros. So, as always, it adds up quick, but the prices are pretty reasonable. Especially because you really do get your money's worth. The burgers are no joke! I would definitely recommend this burger chain. I am hoping one opens in Clifton Park soon. I want to try all their other burgers!!!

With vegetarians and other conservative eaters in our party, we found this place a godsend for a midafternoon pre-Trinity-College-sightseeing meal. Actually, it's pretty good on its own merits. I've eaten at other Counters and I like the setup...but there are too many choices! Patty, bun, cheese, toppings, and sauce. So many options! But if you enjoy culinary creativity and/or control, you will not go wrong here. The sides are good too, except that they were out of fried pickles. Sad face. We enjoyed regular fries, sweet potato fries, and grilled vegetables. Everyone enjoyed their burgers, so the meal was a success. Ironically, The Counter has table service, so it's not quite as quick as you might hope. But their sodas are from a fountain (yay, American style) so you can get refills. Plus, a bonus--their soundtrack of classic rock and respectable 80s and 90s tunes inspired at least four individuals in our multigenerational group to sing at various times. Clearly, they are all about variety.

Served in true fast food joint style, fries on paper plates and tightly wrapped bundle containing the burger. Washing up overhead nil. I like my steaks medium rare but I always insist on a well-done burger for hygiene reasons which, in fairness, this was. My companion had ordered hers medium but it looked very much on the rare side to both of us but she was happy enough. Frankly, I thought it was all pretty meh. Nothing memorable or good enough to drag me back. The burger bun did maintain structural integrity throughout the process which was a plus but the whole thing was decidedly only ok. It was cheap, however, so there's that. Apparently, they have long waits at busy times. No idea why and I'd be furious if I had had to wait in line for a mediocre burger.
